It's not the pronunciation it's the content we love. Another great informative video, thank you.
I love how you clearly communicate the flight time. Flight time should be mandatory by law in all drone reviews! 🧐
Fairly impressed with what Darwin has been cranking out. not top shelf, but certainly decent for the $
Darwin board meeting: aite guys we kinda suck but at least we cheap
Oh Darwin did it now ! I actually returned my Brooks shoes for a pair of Hoka shoes. Give them a shot next go around. Had mine for longer then I expected.
I had not heard of Hoka, are those available in stores or online only?

@@NickBurnsFPV Hoka is one of those brands that people that need great shoes seem to love. I have seen them in stores here and there. One of the big features is thick cushioning. For what it's worth I had never heard of them before the sales person had shown them to me. I did try them on, they were cushy for sure... I ended up getting a pair or Reeboks so take that for what it's worth - but I really liked the one particular Reebok called the nano 05, it actually had some Kevlar sewn in for durability (and for marketing), it was fairly light, had a super flat sole which allowed me to put in my own insert of choice and it felt like a custom fit. Liked it so much i bought 2 more pairs over the next year, one was to replace my current ones and the other was because they were no longer being made so I picked up an extra set while I still could. Brooks is a well known brand with a solid reputation and a friend of mine swears by them, but Hoka, could be worth a try.
Sounds like Chinese made shoes...
Few months in to the hobby and bought this thanks to this review. I have flown this every day for the last couple of weeks in a large backyard to learn racing. Boy it can take a beating. Its covered in grass. Updated it to betaflight 4.5 succesfully and since it looks a lot like the XI25 I am going to test the XI25 tune on it. Great content you make! Thanks and greetings from Amsterdam.
Thanks for the review, already ordered ☺️
I installed these same props on my cinelog25 and I loved them. They are not loud they are smooth, sound like a jet turbine, but my quad feels really stiff.
Pretty impressed with this!! Are you using the HD zero goggles with walksnail VRX?
Actually just got to half way through your video and you say that you are using the HD zero!! 🤣 I will be using the same kit if I get it... The dives and punchouts are really super impressive for a ducted small quad!!!
Good review as always Nick. that cinewhoop looks to fly pretty good. And yes! your velocidrone map needs the dude sitting there by the house in red shoes! would be awesome!
picked up a RTF kit a few days go and I'm impressed with it..6 packs in so far lol....Happy Flying!!
Did you get ELRS RX built in? What target model did you use for the RX? I am trying FPV Nano 2.4 RX. Did you have to reverse 2 motor directions?
I got the FrySky version and I didn't have to do anything to it..just hit the arm switch and off I went
I have the analog vs very nice and very clear camera little to no break up and very quick and stable in slow and fast flight, been using 650 4 s and getting 4 min flights
Hello where did you get the led gate or is it homemade???
the gate is from webleedfpv.com
I'm loving my cineape25.....I had to flash down because I have the literadio3 but I'm good to go and it flies like a BEAST!!!!!! THANK YOU NICK FOR INTRODUCING ME TO A KICKASS QUAD❤️🤌🏼
I think this is the first cinewhoop I have seen that is that good wow good job on the review nick!! I'm actually thinking about getting a cinewhoop now!
Check out the OddityRC XI35 pro, its also very good, but bigger than this one.
FINALLY!!!! My patience pays off lol I have been wanting a "all purpose" cinewhoop for awhile! Mostly freestyle 😁 I'm going with this one for sure great review nick🤌🏼
Darwin is a great choice. Haven’t let me down yet
@Poodlehawk is Eternal man I have been going back and forth with trying to decide on a cinewhoop especially one that's sub250g there are a few that I like but I doubt they're as durable as this one and flies as good the baby ape and tiny ape are very good quads darwin has stepped up big time✌🏽
You are lucky you waited, I got the cinebot30 and honestly would rather have the cineape25.
@Pierce Nugget FPV I was going to get that one actually I was going to get the cinelog 25 and waited
@Nick Burns, do you have any sort of theory on how the CineApe manages to accurately display the heading? I don't want to take it apart since it flies so well, but the FC's product page does not mention a magnetometer, and even more surprisingly, the magnetometer feature is switched OFF in BetaFlight. Quite the riddle!
(Shame you didn't upload OSD ... I have the analog one fwiw and it came with a heading display ootb)
I don’t think it has the ability to display heading. On fpv drones that would be a gps feature
@@NickBurnsFPV and yet it does. And I didn't install a GPS. So I take it yours doesn't and never did?
first video i watch in a year, looking good Mr Burns
Thank you
Superb flying. We’re you flying acro mode all this time in the video?
Yes acro mode.
How are they running a 1s vtx on a 4s battery? Step downs on the FC?
run it from 5v pad
i might get this because of this video. thank you Nick
What a nice beginner whoop. Looks like it flies nice.
Thanks.
Question: are you seeing the feed from the mini camera or the go pro in your Googles?
New and trying to understand this stuff.
Thanks again.
first outdoor flight is gopro footage. 2nd is avatar footage from the vtx itself.
makes it sens to fly with bigger batteries?
If one is looking for longer flight times in a less aggressive flight style. There is diminishing returns as the battery size and weight increases to the point the flight time no longer increases but decreases.
Wow! just sub'd! Just bought this from a friend, do you have a link on where can I buy the camera mount?
I don't think I have seen just the camera mount available. But Darwinfpv has the 3d print file available darwinfpv.com/blogs/news/cineape25 and that could be used to send to a print service for purchase.
Saw ads for pre orders, nice timing with the video. NICE rippage in the back yard, looks like one of those giggling while flying moments, looks fun. Looks like it Cinewhoops good too ^_^ Thanks for the review, I was curious about this after getting the BabyApe Pro last year. Good Bang for the buck! Cheers!
So the video had youtube adds about this quad? I don't know if I have ever had that reported before.
@@NickBurnsFPV Facebook and an constant flow of Alliexpress/Bangood ads in my email. BabyApe Pro is a great bang for the buck, so I was super curious to see reviews on this. The Pre-orders just showed up recently. Not any time soon.
Could I use a GoPro 11, not naked or would it be too heavy?
yes, it will impact flight time as we add weight.
Hi Nick, i’ve been planning to get the walksnail version, but i will replace it with the walksnail HD Pro with the starvis camera,i would like to ask a favor maybe you can measure if the latest walksnail 32gb vtx will fit and also the starvis camera? I have one right now and looking for a cinewhoop to get this in, i will use the walksnail 1s that comes with it for another quad upgrade. Thanks very much! More power!
the walksnail vtx mounting is mounted to the baseplate and is 25x25, but we do have to create more space for the metal housing of the v2 kit, I believe it will be to tight without adding 3mm or so. The camera won't mount in the cineape, its designed around the nano camera.
@@NickBurnsFPV thanks for the quick response Nick, helps a lot on my decision, because cineape is one of my cheapest option, although I checked, it has a stack, i may have to go with diy build using a 25x25 AIO to make room for the vtx. Thanks again. More power!
@@noypiFPV yes an aio would likely save the space needed to get the larger vtx in there...I am pretty sure it will. Maybe we only need to add a nut to the standoff if we need another 3mm.
Fantastic, Nick! Awesome flying and review! 😃
Darwin FPV did it again! Really excellent brand!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I've had my eye on this a while now. Great price. Enjoyed your review
Think I'll be adding this to my fleet
No Link for the Brooks? :D Nice Vid. was curious about that quad since a while. Thank you!
lol, not this time :) Just a talking point :)
@@NickBurnsFPV you'll ha e to join Cricket and get in the shoe game mate hahaha.
@@slowentropy4531 lol, wouldn't that be something. I suspect that is beyond my freetime :)
12:52 was like 😱😱😱.... nice flying.. i've seen cineape for quite a while now on BG. been thinking on getting a cinewhoop to add to my dji fpv drone, cinelog20, defender25, avata... i get all these cinewhoops are all great at exploring... but this current market slowdown makes it hard to let go some cash... 😅😅😅
Can it carry gopro 11
yea, but it won't fly as long or as agile.
Another great review Nick. I plan to use those Darwin 1504 3600kv motors on my Crux35 at some point. I know you have experience with the Crux35, would this be a good motor swap for the money? A set of 4 are under $30.
Thanks for all the content you provide.
yes the size is comparable. I would also consider the slightly increase in weight of the 1504 motors. Likely about 2 grams per motor. The motor will add some additional quick response and top end speed.
@@NickBurnsFPV Thanks for the insight .Hoping for less vibrations at higher throttle, but with everything in this hobby, you get what you pay for. Keep up the good work.
Gotta say Nick it really is awesome to see how much you love FPV after all these years. When I'm flying out front of my house solo (without my son) I'll have a NickBurns video going hahahahaha.
Gee she's loud inside hahaha.
Really loving 85mm whoops these days as you can just send it, not worry and most 95% of time you can flip over and keep going.
Cheers mate
RC has been something I have enjoyed since I could get my first rc car. FPV is nothing like the rc I have done prior and I find it not just fun, but something like meditation or therapy. It helps me find positivity in those challenging times.
After the crash the VTX was still working... Good sign ... Nice budget whoop...
What do you like better... This or the Pavo 25 v2? I'm trying to decide which to get. This is $40 cheaper
They are basically equivalent. As expected when comparing darwinfpv, there are always differences that allows them to make the price less. One is that there is no option for the dji O3 with the cineape. Another is blackbox is recorded to an external sd card which is also and older design and less expensive. The mounting for the batter connector and prop protection to the carbon fiber is a bit cleaner as well.
Hi Nick, Awesome video! was wondering if you could share your thoughts on the quality of the caddax ant that Painless360 has commented on. The footage in his video shows the Caddax ant pretty bad however would like to hear ur thoughts?
As far as light weight nano cameras the two leaders are the runcam nano 3 and caddx ant. The nano 3 is slight lower in weight but the ant is better overall image.
Hey Nick, did you try this one with one of the smaller HD camera's, like the RunCam PRO I'd be interested to see how it goes without the vibration dampening.
I did not try a number of different cams, just my naked gp9
Im a bit of a noob when it comes to fpv, just bought a bassline elrs, my question is, if the prop guards make them fly worse, why do they put them on quads made for outdoor flying? 🤔
There are likely many reasons the community look for prop protection is durability, no direct or motor contact on crashes, protection from any "alive" items in the flight environment, alive being animals or humans you might be filming around. Another could be an overall feeling of a safer quad, or the ability to have a single quad that can be flown outside and inside.
Do you have a link of the ELRS receiver you used? N video how you installed on this ?
I don't recall the receiver, they are pretty much all the same to me, only real differences is if they have a wire antenna or a cube. I don't have a video on receiver installations. Again they are all pretty much the same. voltage and ground to the flight controller 5v and ground. Rx to tx and tx to rx.
Do you recommend this over mobula 8?
For anyone who gets the built in ELRS receiver from DarwinFPV built in their CineApe25, what receiver model did you use to flash? I got the DarwinFPV Nano 2.4 RX to load but just curious what others used.
Yup, and it is the BetaFPV 2400 nano RX. Using the wifi connection to figure out the target. BTW use the ELRS 1.5.5 Configurator, NOT the newest 1.5.6
Very nice quad at a bargain price. I wish they included an HDZero version. Would be nice to try this with the new (beta) 1080p@30fps mode.
It is a bit surprising they don't have an hdzero option.
How would you compare this to the foxeer foxwhoop 25 HDZero?
This flies better, the foxwhoop was crazy durable, its hard to imagine anything else being as durable but the cineape prop guard material did feel and look much like the foxwhoop prop protection. But then again the foxwhoop prop protection has a warranty the cineape does not have.
Cann this carry a gopro camera?
It can, but if its a full go pro that add substantial weight and won't fly as long as without.
Mate were you flying in Acro indoors?
Yes
@@NickBurnsFPV 🤝
I have an ELRS version. But, it does not bind with my Zorro ELRS nor TX12 Mk II ELRS. I also tried BetaFlight in order to bind, but the Bind Receiver button does not appear. Any tips? Thanks.
Both the radio and the receiver need to be on the same major version of elrs. So either both version 2.x.x or version 3.x.x
I think they should sell props in a complete set that either vary slightly in pitch or vary slightly in diameter and see if it gets rid of these harmonic resonances I think is the best way to put it.
I would want them to be well tested before selling them. I suspect people would be vary upset if they didn't work out well.
I wonder how this compares with FPV Pavo 25.
Seems like your Banggood coupon don't work outside US.
The footage without the gopro is great how though?
I don't understand. The footage is recorded on the video transmitter.
It's like Cinnabon, if that helps.
yeah - sin-nah-whoop like cinnabon. :)
Sound good nick, I’m gana get me a pair of those shoes lol
can you tell me about the motor directions and prop setup? i am confused as till now ive been using frames with motors up, this is upside down....
Yes the motors are upside down but that does not change the orientation of the props. The props would mount the same as if the motors were on top. Props are designed to generate thrust primarily in one rotational direction. The high side of the prop will lead the rotation
@@NickBurnsFPV thanks. So the motors direction will be same as if motors were up and shown in BF or inav diagram. Also the props will be same...
@@1979zeesh motor direction needs to match what betaflight shows or we set betaflight to.
What do you think of this vs. the cinebot 30?
I think this one is better value for money.
Xt30 or xt60?
xt30
How did you find flying fast with the walksnail vrx? Did you feel the latency?
Pretty much with all quads, I can notice the latency if I go from multiple analog flights to a different quad with either the DJI/vista/link or walksnail system. With in two flights I have adjusted and no longer notice the latency. Its more predominant with inside flights.
Hey Nick, thanks for this interesting review! What is the battery connector of this quad, xt30 or xt60? And do you think cineape 25 can fly on 3000mah li-ion? Maybe it will be too heavy?
xt30, as is the case with adding battery weight, it will fly but no guarantee the flight will be longer, and it will handle far different with that much more battery weight.
Do you feel latency with VRX?
I feel latency with all hd fpv compared to analog. After a flight or two I am able to adjust.
Is there a way to set the PID of this cine ape 25 so that it is slower in Acro mode, I feel this is too fast for me who is still a beginner
I think what your looking for is lowering the rates so it responds slower with radio stick movement. Expo ca also help reduce the stick movement sensitivity. reducing the pids will make it feel loose, not track as well and bring in other negative flight characteristics.
@@NickBurnsFPV Thank you, I will try it, and immediately subscribe to your channel, very informative
Battery XT30 or XT60?
xt30
Oh 1504 motor. Was about to build a cine 2.5" with 1604 motors.
Hi bro, How did you change the antennas?
Change the antenna. This one came this way. Basics is unscrew the two screws holding the antenna mount clasp down and then turn the antenna to a 45 degree angle and pull up gently.
@@NickBurnsFPV ok Thank man
Nick, have you checked out the TCMMRC GROTESQUE 25? is it any good an how is it compared to the Darwin Cineape 25? 🙏
I have seen it but not flown it. From a spec and visual perspective it looks very very close to identical.
muito bom esse drone, comprei um por causa desse vídeo.salve do Brasil ✌
Br aqui tmb, comprei o meu tmb, só na espera de chegar agora hahah
Great review video of a budget friendly capable Cinewhoop. 👍😎
Thank you.
I got same quad with ELRS receiver but having difficulty to bind with literadio 2 SE V2 SX1280 transmitter. Any guidance on it would be appreciated.
The main guidance I can give is the elrs versions on the receiver and radio need to be the same major versions. Example would be 2.x.x or 3.x.x where 2 or 3 is the major version and the x x are minor version. I am not recalling how to update the literadio 2 se. This is what I can find on it support.betafpv.com/hc/en-us/articles/900005322963-How-to-Flash-Firmware-of-LiteRadio-2-SE
is the battery plug xt 30 or xt60

IDk if you noticed or if it is ok with you, but at 11:02 you have a visible license plate sitting on your kitchen island.
License plates are public info. They’re on the outside of your car.
Your probably made more people aware by this comment, than would have even noticed it…
yes, my son(18) has recently been collecting them. He wants to get all 50 states. He doesn't know what he wants to do with them other than to collect for now.
After this review, best CW25 is Pavo25 or CineApe25. Great review!
Is that a question? Sorry not sure
@@NickBurnsFPV Yes, it is. I think it would be decided between these two. Not counting O3 here. Would be great to here your opinion.
@@rmad1311 I think the cineape25 tracks better and handles wind better. I also think the number of what appear to be 3d printed parts on the pavo are going to be weak points. And the cineape25 at its price makes it a better choice imho.
🙂Great vid, thank you Nick,
Thanks for this Helpfull Video, if I get this Drone without a Reciver , Can I use my own reciver? I have a FlySky FS A8S reciver using Flysky fs-i6s Radio Control, and a Turnigy TGY-IA6C receiver using Turnigy Evolution digital AFHDS 2a Radio Controller? I'm trying not to have to many Remote Controls about. If not witch Buget, Remote Control is Compatable with the ELRS 2.4ghz Reciver, Any Idea
yes, I believe flysky uses ibus for the control link wiring. A budget elrs radio is $65 like the radiomaster pocket, or the jumper t-lite.
@NickBurnsFPV do u gave a web link for that readio, i find different types not sure witch to pick.
@NickBurnsFPV okay I appreciate you advice I'm getting the jumper tlite, thanks man
Where can I find some 750mah 4s lipos??? Any help would be muched loved🙏🏼
Where are you?
@@NickBurnsFPV Chicago nick
@@scu-dub Well I don't find exactly 750mah 4s batteries. Not in at least brands I would suggest purchasing. The closest I find is the GNB 720mah from pyrodrone.com pyrodrone.com/collections/4s-batteries/products/gaoneng-gnb-4s-720mah-100c-hv-li-po-battery-xt30
Betafpv has one, but I believe that has to be ordered directly from them in china and I am not a fan of their batteries.

Hello, does anywone know what the max camera angle is? Like 30 degrees or 45 degrees.
I tend to fly around 35 degrees. I suspect max is around 45 degrees.
Hi Nick.. Why does my Cineape 25 analog and only display a vtx value of 200 mw on goggles, even though it has been set to 600 mw, have you ever experienced the same thing? Maybe there is a solution for beginners like me.
I’ve got an extra 6in1 esc for a hex but would like to use it on a quad can it work?
Yes, when we setup betaflight on the flight controller side we need to set it to 4 esc, and then on the motor wire side we need to ensure we use the escs as betaflight shows.
Hi, I have this quad and it came with elrs 3.0 and I have 2.0 on my radio. Can I reflash 2.0 to get it to bind ? It has the happymodel ep1/2 2.4 .
yes, presuming there is a target for the receiver. To find what the target is plug (props off), wait for the rx to go into wifi mode (60 seconds), connect a computer to the expresslrs rx wifi and go to 10.0.0.1 in a browser. That page will have the receiver make and model and version.

Thank you for your help.
Iv been dying to try on of these smaller cinewhoops. Cinewhoop are my favorite to just float anywhere ya want with so much freedom. But I'm still struggling to find some used goggles to buy. I'm done buying box goggles that die within a year. I wanna go to hd so bad but can't afford to buy new😞 I just want some old v2s or something
v2 goggles are a good value. I had to buy the dji goggles 2 which are really uncomfortable. My other dji goggles are v1 :(
@NickBurnsFPV right I'm so over having to worry about losing video at around 100 yds lol. It ruins that freedom feeling that I'm after. I already got crsf that that a non issue. I never even worry or look at rssi anymore. God I wanna fly now after talking about it 😞 I'm so close to getting my tbs cinerat built up with new wires and hop that helps but it's like that with every quad I try right now and the fpv ground vehicles
Dang it Nick. Tell me which one is louder! Haha. Just kidding. 🤣😂 Darwin has really been doing a good job lately. This one has really peaked my interest.

That video is coming soon.
Lmao"yeah, I didn't have any problem with durability" as he smacks the drone on the table! 😄
i somewhat heard the motor's crying when doing that dive 😁
2540 props with lighter 450-60pmah packs good for dive imo 🤔
Dear Nick
I would like to purchase one of the ifright R25analog and Darwinfpv cineape25 products. I earnestly ask for your expert opinion, so I would appreciate it if you could tell me which of the two product you recommend.
Between those two I would chose the cineap25, we crash and the more we can save the more money we have for repairs later.
Thank you very much for your opinion.
Very impressive
I'd buy one if they had a HDZero option. After paying for those new goggles, that's all I'm buying!Lol
The frame reminds me of the betafpv pavo 25. 🤔
Yes many of them share some characteristics.
Hello, good video, I know you have a lot of experience with 1s drones and I would like to ask you, which of the ones you have tried currently is your favorite or the best at the moment?
My favorite 1s quads are all whoops. When it comes to outdoor flight I prefer 2s or more. But 1s outside is suitable for very small places.
Was disappointed when I saw the stickers... Oh wait... Stickerrrrrrrrrzzzzzz! 😂
I'm confused.
That looks...hate to say it. Quality. Not a darwinfpv adjective I think I'd say often. I know they fly well, the tiny ape freestyle is awesome. But the USB port...right there. Is awesome
yea, without that external usb it would be such a pain to access the native usb port more than once.
Xt30 or xt60

Put Walksnail 1s on mine makes Cineape 25 way better
I really like this company. They make some pretty good stuff and they fly decent, are reasonably durable, repairable, etc...
A few months ago I bought the Foxeer Foxwhoop 25 which is not unlike this drone int the review. The Foxeer does claim that the prop guards are unbreakable which is one of the reasons I bought that one but this Darwin looks like a great choice as well, I mean they look a lot alike and I am not sure what I would have purchased if this one was out when I bought my last drone.
I was also a fan of the FC and ESC on the Foxeer, they seem very durable and have nice features. How might you compare the features and performance of the Darwin and the Foxeer?
Oh and regarding the sound of the different drones - perhaps you could include as part of your review process a few seconds of video with your phone using a decibel meter app to get some kind of quantified value out there. Over time you will have built up a bunch of info on different drones and how props, ducting, size, etc... all effect the sound. Would be easy and could be interesting.
Of course that is one attribute of the sound but there are other characteristics of the sound that would be harder to capture and to those I think your comments on how you experienced the drone is good enough. As always you have done a great job, I do look forward to your videos. Cheers
👍🏻👍🏻
Will this guy carry a full GoPro or only a naked ?
yes, we need a mount, but the weight it can carry. The more weight we add the less aggressively it will be capable of, at least in agility and it will also decrease flight time.
Did tou call it Avatar?
yes, the walksnail avatar vtx.
You gotta get in the right angle and you can get it in there .... that's what she said
