    Love Bon Marché, thank you for the tour. I could live in that book section, and wouldn't risk walking through it with a rolling travel bag!

    Thoroughly enjoyed your walk to Le Bon Marche. So delightful to walk along with you and your informative narrative learning lots of little things about Paris.

      It sounds like you loved your time in Paris, and especially Bon Marche. You can certainly get lost in ideas when you spend time in that store. Happy to hear you enjoyed it too!

    Went to Bon Marche just 2 weeks ago based on your previous video there. Saw that beautiful jewelry you pointed out ( Caroline Benoist i believe). Told the sales lady that I was there because of a You Tuber showcased the beautiful pieces!

    Yes, the ugly Tour Montparnasse that you can see looking south at 8:54 is in the 15e . Enjoying walking along with you:)) I loved the old Art Déco interior of the Lutetia Hotel befor Ie it closed and was renovated...Do you remember when the Conran‘s store was across the street from le Bon Marché? I think that is a Monkey Puzzle tree in the park....And yes, the theme of the expo at Le Bon Marché is “Paris, Paris...culture, fashion and gastronomy“, it ended on October 20th.....

      I couldn't agree more! The former interiors of Lutetia were lovely. Thanks for all the good information!!! Loved reading all of it.

      This video was made the very end of October, so sorry some of the items weren't available!! That said, the shop areas are so varied and interesting, sometimes we only see a portion of all the goodies. I'm sure you left with bags full of wonderful things!! 💚

    It’s such a delight walking with you along the streets of Paris while you point out what catches your eye! It’s amazing how you seem to notice the very things that would interest me! I love all your little excursions and am so grateful that you take us along. p.s. I also see lovely things in the shops that I would like to buy for my grandchildren. But, I’ve also been very blessed with many. I sometimes find myself trying to calculate, in my mind, the price by seven before giving up😊

    • @extraordinarywomennextchapter
      @extraordinarywomennextchapter  Місяць тому

      Everyone wears them now other than older people, whatever that means 😃 Parisians wear very "cool" tennis shoes- men and women. They have taken tennis (gym) shoes to a stylish level. It all changed after covid. Before then, it was only tourists, mostly American, who wore tennis shoes in Paris.

    Printers in American homes can print on A4 paper. Stores like Staples sell A4 paper from a US brand like Hammermill. You just need to load the A4 paper, and select A4 as the size of paper being printed to.

    Rue de Rennes and the "monstruosity" is Tour Montparnasse :-). Returning to your hotel room, so you no longer live in Paris? Feeling homesick or Paris was not what you expected and perhaps not such a "hapy place"..it can feel lonely in Franece

    • @extraordinarywomennextchapter

      That was it! The Montparnasse monstrosity. Now I remember the name. Yes, I recently sold my Paris apartment. I love to decorate and improve a space and then move on....now working on an apartment in Boston. From there, maybe purchase another Paris apartment. I'm a decorator at heart. 💚

      @@extraordinarywomennextchapter Bpnjour, i understand if i could i would do the same ..i have a longere what Brits would call a cottage to do up but as you may know heavy renovation and craftmanship in =france costs a small firtune .. interior decoration is way better to flip homes make them beautiful etc..as we are more self reliant on our "taste" for nice things and how to ut things together.Hope you'll come back soon and looking forward to see your =boston appartement, one of the US town which has aEuropean feeling as i was told

    Pharmacists in France are very helpful. However, their command of English is not good. It seems students in the sciences are not required to study English.
