On the trail of Glanvilles

Most years I travel across to the Isle Of Wight to search for the rare Glanville Fritillary butterfly.
It's a great day out by ferry, hovercraft and bus to the southern edge of the island at Ventnor.
Then a walk over Bonchurch Down with spectacular views across the downs and English Channel.
The place hums with life in spring. Such a special part of the world.
