They brought the disciples before the Sanhedrin and were not able to deny the miracle that had taken place. So, they decided to silence the messengers and they commanded them not to speak any more in the name of Jesus. Peter and John informed them that they must listen to God who had commissioned them to preach the gospel rather than obeying these authorities. All the people were praising God for the miracle that had taken place. "To God be the glory, great things He has done!!!" God's work must go on.
