Hands down this is the best build series on UA-cam. Just a regular guy doing what he can to get a sweet project done. No high buck budgets, no crew of people, just work getting done and the right amount of recording to show us the step by step without too much saturation.
I'm up at 1 in da morn watching this... Fosters: my life is a lie I see a whole new series. "Skateboarding in Brooklyn." I thought i wanted a project bike. With the way my life works, I'd be dead before i ever finished. I'm going to continue to live vicariously thru UA-cam. Keep grinding. Great work.
Late to the series but I've just binged it, very good production and i like that ylu show all the content. People normally edit out the mistakes they make as if we are to believe that any project runs smoothly without issue. Great job
Man, i gotta tell you how much i appreciate the style of your videos and personality. It reminds me so much of oldschool UA-cam when everything was a passion project and nobody was trying to be famous or make money. It's something you just never see anymore and the soul+character of everything you're doing is just awesome. Never lose this heart and quality, even if you get as big as you deserve to be
I love how you are documenting the process man, makes it so much difficult to work on it. I also hate that if your build goes viral, you are pretty fucking up the prices of k bikes for the rest of us. Its a heavy bike, looking forward to your review on how it handles in NYC.
I'm thinking about buying one K100 86, started looking at ideas over the net, came across Gustavo's kit, some other ideas and ended up finding you 👌🏼 I'm planning to do all of this by my own. I have almost no experience to be fair but you just handed out a ton of knowledge which helps so much, simply amazing! You have my respect man, Ill be following you and coming over and over again to learn as much as I can. 💎💪🏼
Watching this video sitting in my office (coffee hasn't kicked in yet)...watching you skate back home has added some much needed chill to my morning. As always, awesome video!
Thanks for the great continuing inspiration. Got some of mine back together but it's moved to the back of the garage probably for winter. Snow blower has run twice already. Have to admire your self discipline keeping this thing moving forward.
That's understandable. Really the fact that I don't own a garage is contributing to how much I'm expediting the process... once that snow falls, I'm screwed
Saving it for tonight's evening entertainment. Greatly enjoyed , you are the greetest, will formulate more pompous reply tomorrow! I also have some of those tunes on 7", I'm so freaking old!
I am amazed at your (funding!) dedication to this awesome project, and thank you (for the collective) from me in Australia for the Foster's kinda shout out!
Bro... you gotta hold those paint cans vertical when you spray. They tend to spit when you hold them sideways, pointed downward or upside down. I’ve ruined enough spray can jobs in the process to learn that
That's correct, however that only happens when you allow the pressure of the can to drop too low (atleast in my experience). In the many things I've painted in my life, I always saved the almost empty cans for things that aren't important. For important things I'll buy two cans and use them half way rather than completely emptying one cause then they spatter. Also inverting the can and spraying it until clear gas comes out helps with spatter.
what a pleasent morning surprise i really dig your 40 min-long wait format, it feels more achieving, but shorter detailed vids are very much welcome youre nearly there, keep it up illest
I am considering shorter videos because the bike is almost done. Alot of people were really asking for detail on electrics... that wouldn't make a super long video but atleast if it's just electrics for example, you can just come back and reference that single category
I ride my honda cb400sf 20km every day rain or shine to get to work. But I couldn't survive without access to a car at any time. Props to you for being a die hard illestrator. Also it killed me inside seeing you skating in the soaking wet
I guess I'm used to not having my own car... that's a more recent millennial thing though I suppose. Honestly man, I was totally content with it. It was calm and the rain at that point was just a light mist so I wasn't soaked... just damp. I skate in the wet decently often.
Look at you man! You're finally gonna rock some OEM zip-ties rather than the ol' aftermarket zip-ties. Comin' up in the world mr.fancypants! Miss riding with you brother, but loving the videos. I can't wait until you ride the flying brick down here, TX-way. Keep up the good work, brother, and as always, rubber-side down.
Been waiting for you to pop-up in my feed, probably hard to film and get all this work done at same time. Sucks probably won't be able to get many miles on before snow and ice starts to move in. At least it'll be nice to stare at this winter. Nice work 👍👍
Lookin good! If I'm lucky; I might be getting a dirtbike. If it runs; I'm making a street legal bike somehow. Bet the electrics will be a breeze with the m-unit. If you want a cheapish performance upgrade; you can go up a gauge or three on your battery cables, alternator/stator wires, whatnot. Lowers resistance
Yo, you can make fender covers for your board with beer cans. Just split it and flatten out the middle with the ends cut off. My board was my daily for 3 years in Vancouver. Those Fosters cans will probably be even better!
Umm, is that paint going to take the heat from the engine? I remember in shop class they insisted only engine paint should ever be used on an engine. Cause heat resistance.
Thats why Max BMW is the best, they normally throw in a big bag of M&M's, they cheated you with those mini's. Oh and i just picked up my 94 k1100LT! Taking the thing apart this winter
I tried Fosters once, won't do it again. Australian pubs rarely even sell it. In Queensland we drink XXXX, Tooheys, Great Northern... actually, anything but Fosters. The rest of the world was sold a lie. Aussie beer is actually good stuff.
woah dude it looks really good. And are you going to swap out to the exhaust because even tho you already wrapped the stock one, I think that an aftermarket one would be better
You are making amazing progress! Is it really that bad that you can’t leave a hire car in your neighbourhood? You don’t even have to lock your house where I live.
Hands down this is the best build series on UA-cam. Just a regular guy doing what he can to get a sweet project done. No high buck budgets, no crew of people, just work getting done and the right amount of recording to show us the step by step without too much saturation.
That's all certainly true, but I'm flattered to hear that that's what makes it so good. Thanks for keeping up with the antics
I'm up at 1 in da morn watching this...
Fosters: my life is a lie
I see a whole new series. "Skateboarding in Brooklyn."
I thought i wanted a project bike. With the way my life works, I'd be dead before i ever finished. I'm going to continue to live vicariously thru UA-cam.
Keep grinding. Great work.
Longboarding, in the rain, in the city, at night... With that music?
Aesthetic AF.
Loving the build so far, keep her coming :)
It was wet but super chill. It was a long day but it was finally coming down to an end
Late to the series but I've just binged it, very good production and i like that ylu show all the content.

I’m so happy you’re listening to Bad Brains while fabricating. It’s like I’m in my shop.
I love how you are documenting the process man, makes it so much difficult to work on it.
I also hate that if your build goes viral, you are pretty fucking up the prices of k bikes for the rest of us.
Its a heavy bike, looking forward to your review on how it handles in NYC.
Kids, never forget to WRAP YOUR SHAFT!!!! Kudos man...paint is the bane of my existence and you knocked it out the park once again!
Lmfao, yeah I hate painting too mainly because of the prep but with everything else out of my hands it needed to finally be done
"The only thing left to do was WRAP MY SHAFT" gave me immediate Regular Car Reviews vibes
I've ordered from that bmw store as well. They always give me candy with orders. Awesome shop.
😂😂 I thought I was special!

"I also gotta worry about taking shots! *burp* As well as shooting film"
Genuinely lol'ed. Well done.
The bike is starting to look really awesome.
Watching this video sitting in my office (coffee hasn't kicked in yet)...watching you skate back home has added some much needed chill to my morning. As always, awesome video!
😂 glad I could convey the chill vibes of that commute home
Awesome work cleaning, polishing and painting all those parts!
Thanks man
This is called Determined! Right down to the Board Ride! Nothing Can Stop Him! Nice work as well!!! One Thousand Stars for this Video and Effort!! Wow
Thanks man, this train cannot be stopped
This build video is worth the wait. Been watching since episode 1.
Thanks for the great continuing inspiration. Got some of mine back together but it's moved to the back of the garage probably for winter. Snow blower has run twice already. Have to admire your self discipline keeping this thing moving forward.
That's understandable. Really the fact that I don't own a garage is contributing to how much I'm expediting the process... once that snow falls, I'm screwed
this project is insane. ur killing it, while i'm still coming up with excuses why i cant do a custom build. props, brother.
I love watching this build series.
Saving it for tonight's evening entertainment. Greatly enjoyed , you are the greetest, will formulate more pompous reply tomorrow! I also have some of those tunes on 7", I'm so freaking old!
Yeah, the longboarding part ruled. Keep your videos coming! It has been 3 weeks, tike for an update 🧐
I am amazed at your (funding!) dedication to this awesome project, and thank you (for the collective) from me in Australia for the Foster's kinda shout out!
Is it just me or is there someone else who could watch the skateboarding scene with that music for hours? So satisfying
I'll keep that in mind. I plan to get that latest gopro with the super stabilization... so noted.
Love all the hard work. Just got to the point where I think I might have to take a similar approach with my bike. Keep on inspiring!
How so? Like getting it done no matter what is in the way?

Like SpikeLee and Scorsese collaborated on a bike build. You've got an "eye". I ain't the first one to tell you this.
I appreciate your hard work. That low gloss is beautiful. I might do they same on my build
Awesome my man! Can’t wait to see the conclusion of this build!
holy shit man, the work you put in on paint paint prep... you are a machine
Prep work is so tedious.... but important
Awesome progress update. Can't wait for the video on the electrical system.
I ride my honda cb400sf 20km every day rain or shine to get to work. But I couldn't survive without access to a car at any time. Props to you for being a die hard illestrator. Also it killed me inside seeing you skating in the soaking wet

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I’m very excited to see how the complete build turn out. Keep up the good work man. 🙌🏽
Thanks fam, the bike will be done soon enough, maybe you can take it for a spin
Great update, must feel so close to being done! Can't wait to see the finished product
Not even a feeling my friend, it's reality! Thanks for watching
Thanks for a great build series. I really enjoy it!
the scene with you skating back home, thats what dreaming looks like to me, not even kidding
Lol, with the glow and the wide angle it looked sort of ethereal so that makes sense
Thank you sir for another great video. Looking forward to some more shinny parts and seeing the bike coming together.
I owned a K100RS for a few years, when I discovered it really shines at over 4000 rpm.
That's what I hear. Apparently even though they don't rev high, they still like revs
Yessss! Stiff little fingers getting a play! Outstanding! 🔥
Alternative Ulster. Nice to hear some proper punk feature! Didn't even know they were that popular outside of the UK!
Very Nice build, I’m like Youri style. Can’t wait to see hou it ends.
Great job! Keep it up! Stoked to see the bike progress!
All your work is worth it. Nice build. 💥👍
Thanks fam

Im planning to get a K100 hopefully by next year summer, using your vids as a precedent
Been waiting for you to pop-up in my feed, probably hard to film and get all this work done at same time. Sucks probably won't be able to get many miles on before snow and ice starts to move in. At least it'll be nice to stare at this winter. Nice work 👍👍
The weather is doing okay for the moment... if it's anything like last year then the snow will fall way out in February lol
NIce work. I can't wait to see how it all turns out.
Thanks
looking good, enjoy the process
40 minutes! You absolutely made my day.
Hopefully you enjoyed!
Looking really good mate, loving the time spent and results 👍❤️
Thanks fam, it's a labor of love
Keen to see the finished bike 👌enjoy your building process though
Thank you
Damn son those throttle bodies are looking so clean
Yo, you can make fender covers for your board with beer cans. Just split it and flatten out the middle with the ends cut off. My board was my daily for 3 years in Vancouver. Those Fosters cans will probably be even better!
😂 that's smart. I skate in the rain but the rooster tails never really bothered me honestly
You're doing an awesome job, looking forward to the final episodes.
Thanks, that makes two of us
26:46 Pure RCR.
😂 it wrote itself
Nice Im hoping to find a Ducati 996 to rebuild on day. But living in NYC time and space is always an issue.
Those Distang throttle bodies are something else
Skateboarding through the hood on a rainy night big ups! I see you push mongo too, just like I do! (I'm weird)
lol i been taking trains and skating around since my bike got totaled. like 2 weeks until i buy a 2005 R1 tho :))
You made that skating trip look pretty glamorous. I bet it didn't feel like it much at the time ?
Strayaaaah !!!
Honestly man, I was totally content with it. It was calm and the rain at that point was just a light mist so I wasn't soaked... just damp
You're just plain positive I'm afraid.
Good trait.👍
Great build 👍 Victoria Bitter is the way to go in Australia or Tasmania
Your made a bad ass job bro are you seling the turn signels that you dident use ..?
Just started following you not to long ago great long boarding shots and good content keep it up big dawg 👌
Thank you fam
Bro, just keep doing ya thing. Great videos.
No doubt fam
Yeah 100% more regular and shorter, I'll watch for sure 👍🏻
Hi now that’s looking really good keep up the great work
Thank you
Hey quick question: What did you end up doing with the choke control? Get rid of it?
NICE WORK ,I love it
Holy fuck. Stiff little Fingers blasting in Keith’s shop. Nice!
dude i love your editing
Umm, is that paint going to take the heat from the engine? I remember in shop class they insisted only engine paint should ever be used on an engine. Cause heat resistance.
wilgarcia1 calipers get much hotter than engines, caliper paint is more heat resistant.
^ Pete is correct. Caliper paint is also high temp paint
Lookin' good!
+1 on Guru Chris Harris & Max BMW parts!
Both fantastic resources
Love a long build video, guess i'm not doing any uni work for 40 minutes
😂
Some of the realest shit on UA-cam man
🤟🏾🤟🏾🤟🏾
Bikes looking awesome man👍
Thanks man
damn bruh that tease at the end. you gotta show us more of the whole frame next vid lol
I would have if I could have lol... imagine how dope it would have looked
Where did you get the rear suspension from
It's been a while. I hope all is Ok. I'm missing your videos.
Thats why Max BMW is the best, they normally throw in a big bag of M&M's, they cheated you with those mini's. Oh and i just picked up my 94 k1100LT! Taking the thing apart this winter
Love this shit.... the dedication is real here 🔥🔥 bell on 🤩
where can I find that "yaaayiii" sound
I tried Fosters once, won't do it again. Australian pubs rarely even sell it. In Queensland we drink XXXX, Tooheys, Great Northern... actually, anything but Fosters. The rest of the world was sold a lie. Aussie beer is actually good stuff.
I've accepted that I'll gladly drink ANYTHING lol
Do you know the code of the gold color on forks
Lol dig the shout out to Chase on two wheels lol
😂 I'm always happy to help out a.... lesser known channel lmao
@@Theillestrator1050 lmao
What was that song playing when you were skateboarding?
Swum - Brooklyn part 2
Good job!
Thank you
Sick build man
Thanks
woah dude it looks really good. And are you going to swap out to the exhaust because even tho you already wrapped the stock one, I think that an aftermarket one would be better
Oh yeah I'm definitely changing out the pipes. But funny enough I realized that these ARE aftermarket, just from back in the day.
- The illestrator - whaaat those were aftermarket? pretty shittie once at that i mean most modern aftermarket pipes are stainless (at least mine are)
You are making amazing progress! Is it really that bad that you can’t leave a hire car in your neighbourhood? You don’t even have to lock your house where I live.
Oh yeah...I live in the worst neighborhood in Brooklyn... probably NYC as a whole
- The illestrator - wow, I can’t even imagine! Our police don’t even carry guns here lol
Somebody get this man a sonicator, tumbler polisher, vibrator polisher, or something.
😂 I gotta get a table wire wheel so I can clean up those bolts...i just been cheaping out with that
Awesom Video ,greetz from Germany
Hallo, thanks for watching
I miss you bro where you at?
Bruh why does skating in nyc at 2 am appealing to me right now.
Because it's kinda therapeutic lol
Why now I have class tomorrow morning lol but I need it.
Btw what kinda board is that? It seems to turn really freaking well. Must be nice
It's an old Mercer deck with bear trucks. I don't hit high speeds on these trash roads so I tuned the trucks to be twitchy rather than stable
Dude got dreads!! Fyi you forgot to locktight \ tite your rear sets and give Chris from B is For Build a shout out from RSA @Sema if you're going.
They'll have to come back off. Especially the right rear set because if it doesn't clear the suspension arm I may have to put a washer on it
Also, those are twists. Dreads are permanent while twists are not 😉
@@Theillestrator1050 noted x2 lmao
Nice taggin skills
Thanks, I'm just hoping this paint job can hold up. Atleast it'll be easy to touch up and nicks. Unlike powdercoat.
This video ended about 10 minutes too early. I guess we're all going to learn the meaning of delayed gratification.
Dibs on the wheel!
😂 it'll be on Ebay with other things soon enough. The folks are getting annoyed with the space
In a way I felt that yellow wheel should stay on the bike since it's been so iconic. Once you change the wheel it's going to be a different bike ;)
Cant do that because the wheel has pretty bad damage on the inside of it
I use Autocad Inventor to simulate clearances.
Getting me hyped!!
