Im working with a Rack Attack installer who is working with their Retrax rep and Yakima rep, for a similar set up with a Retrax MX pro, and a Yakima Outpost set up (want my RTT to fit in garage on my bed). Yakima rep says it’s very doable and will work, and the Retrax rep said drilling through it won’t void their warranty, so I’m going that direction. That said, I’ve seen other posts saying this company doesn’t drill, but I believe my set up will drill the top plastic bed rail cover and utilize the pre-existing holes inside the metal frame underneath .
