Watching in 2021 and I'm glad to have seen them in this time era...it was legitimately the most flawless performance and the most perfect sounding band I have ever seen live to this day!
Watched this in 2004 and countless times and here I am in 2021 .. simply one of the best live performances in music history... and I am not exaggerating
+Slears You have to be fuckin' kidding. This was in the middle of their worst sellout period and they played the heavily Slipknot inspired STYE album from start to finish (arguably their worst album). This is weak.
I've watched this performance again and again over the last few years. It's beautiful to see a crowd of people not holding their camera phones up into the air, and instead living in the moment as one army of metal fanatics. In Flames should be immensely proud of what they achieved here \m/
I watch a ton of live shows on UA-cam. The three things a perfect experience needs are: amazing audio quality; a killer performance; and a crowd that goes absolutely wild. This has all three in spades. Makes you feel like you’re there.
I love stadium shows, but nothing beats seeing one of your favorite bands in small venues. Even better when they’re playing in front of a home crowd like this.
100% the best performance I've seen of this band. I wasn't there personally being an American but the overall audio mix, anders vocal performance(I've never heard Anders sound better than this), the guitar tone, the atmosphere of a smaller local venue, the crowd's excitement, and most of all how TIGHT the band played together here, especially Jesper and Bjorn. I can't find any mistakes in their performance really, during both sets. If you got to be at this show, you really experienced something magical from this band. I ripped this entire live show onto a CD so I could listen to it in my car. The guitars sounded so fucking massive, especially on their more atmospheric songs. This is one of the best live shows I've seen of a metal band and I wasn't even there. I'm just glad I got to see In Flames during this era when Jesper was still a member. His sense of melody really inspired me as a guitar player. Every time I listen to this, more than anything, I am hugely impressed by the sound engineer/front of house who got the overall mix to sound THIS good for the DVD. I've been to a lot of metal shows. I've seen In Flames multiple times. I've never heard high-gain guitars sound this good at a live show. What a fucking massive wall of sound they had for this mix. Wish I could've gotten the numerous 5150s I've owned to sound this good. I love how they sound but this is the tone I hear in my head when I think of an amazing live sound.
Ander's screams/growls sounded so good during this era. I think STYE and Come Clarity had his best sounding vocals. Also I've seen this live performance many times over the years and it's by far the best I've seen/heard of them & one of the best I've seen any metal band do overall ever.
Kinky Nothing it's 2016. I happen to love their new stuff and their old stuff. their new album is awesome. I can't wait to hear save me live. drained too, it's different for sure but not bad at all
Matthew Cohn your opinion is of course much respected. But i don't think thats in flames at all. But then again they wanted to try something different (well, bjorn and anders, that is) which is much respected as well. I dont critisize at all. Its just that it pains me to see a favourite band whith which i grew up with go this way. Oh well, its their music :)
I saw them live in Feb 2023 and they are still really good, but this level they showed here is unbeatable, no doubt. Old In Flames will always have a special place in my heart.
I'd have to say this is the best live performance I've ever heard... from any band. Call me crazy but I love all of their music, even the new stuff. Siren Charms and Battles are my least favorite but I still like them ok. It's hard for me to pick my favorite album because I like them all in their own way. I'm leaning towards Whoracle though.
By far, this is the best performance of In Flames, I have this DVD since the release, glad to see on youtube, thank you guys. I just saw them live in my country the last month, best experience ever, love In Flames...
Looking back 20 years, I still remember how insanely awesome this concert was. If I was religious I'd thank God for being born in Gothenburg at the right time in order to have the privelage to attend this show. In Flames we still trust! Side note, my body hurt so much after this from all the jumping.
Remember listening through some songs of this during 2020 quarantine, alone in my flat during dark evenings overlooking a dark Eastern European city, thinking the world was ending over the coronavirus epidemic. What memories.
I'm born on bloody 1982, and I have watched even in flames back home in Athens, Greece on 2000 This is how a damn rock/metal concert used be, and not with people holding phnes and making videos!! Thanks for the memories!! Great work! Cheers from Athens
Well - IF - one of the bands of my youth, that I never forgot. But what what happened to them today? After all these years I still come back and listen to THIS particular concert, which is one of the best live metal performances I have ever heard (and I've heard quite few of them). Just listen to the ending of the My Sweet Shadow, Colony or Artifacts of the Black Rain - natural, pure energy in music, it's just exquisite example of that. And, damn, I'm writing this as a fan of rap, oldies from 20s - 40s, jazz, blues, electronic form minimal techno to hardstyle, OSTs, classical music etc etc. I wish I could be there, in 2004!
Anders and Bjorn’s hair went into there heads and out there chins into an epic 2020 beard, I dig the old and new in flames all day, listen to the early for intensity and the newer for introspective such amazing music and an amazing performance
I wouldn't call "Fucking great" the In Flames we have today... Saw them this past November and the new songs are really, really bad live... The energy of their old stuff is just not there in the new material.
Absolutely insane performance. As a fan of the old in flames everything was just pure earcandy. Especially the songs from Behind space and forth...what a chain of eargasms ;)
I saw these dudes right after "A Sense of Purpose" dropped, and they literally sounded like the records live (arguably better). Probably one of the tightest and best sounding bands of any genre in a live setting.
This has been one decade this year.. that means that I'm becoming two decades old this year... Wish I already listened metal at that age and had the money and a babysitter to take me to Gothenburg Sticky Fingers...
now in 2023.. this is still a masterpiece..
You write that comment as if music gets better with time but it gets worse. Although most Scan metal bands stay solid their whole lives.
Those 5150S! I Saw the original lineup at the Worcester palladium back in 2008 when they were on Gigantour!
Happy I was there!
@dizypline Cool, I've seen them 3 times!
Jesper Strömblad 🤘
Is anyone watching this on 2020? For me this is the best In Flames era!
It’s on my constant work out rotation during COVID home work outs along with AILD ABR AMON AMARTH BEHEMOTH and many more! Cheers metal Family!!!
Performance? At its best... Best in Flames live turn! ❤️
2021, bro
@@NRiqueRoSer yep!!!
Watching in 2021 and I'm glad to have seen them in this time era...it was legitimately the most flawless performance and the most perfect sounding band I have ever seen live to this day!
Year after year, whenever I need a positive reinforcement, I come back to this timeless and epic performance!
It's not live tho. It's edited as fuck
The drummer was so happy! he was amazing and that smile was priceless lol
Cocaine.
Watched this in 2004 and countless times and here I am in 2021 .. simply one of the best live performances in music history... and I am not exaggerating
Duuuude I must have gotten this in 04 ans havent watched till now! Literally, one of the tightest best played performances with incredible soind
look closely kids..this is one of the very best metal live performances ever recorded. Sadly nothing will come close in the future..
+Slears exactly what I just thought!!
+Slears You have to be fuckin' kidding. This was in the middle of their worst sellout period and they played the heavily Slipknot inspired STYE album from start to finish (arguably their worst album). This is weak.
Mike Grinder
well this is all a matter of taste..but I was mainly talking about the stage performance...
+Tobias Jost It might be a good recording, but the gig itself is lame as fuck. Piss off, you maggot.
One of my favorite bands of all time. So disappointed they don't put on this type of performance anymore.
This will always be in my opinion IF best live performance.
It's just insane and you just gotta love Anders with the dreads!
This along with the Hammersmith gig which is outstanding :)
Andys Yep :)
don't forget korea 2002, that was fucking intense
2 pac wacken and sonisphere are awesome too ...
Easily!
man. i'm starting to regret not going to this concert when i was 4
same bro how fucking stupid was I
I have seen them like 4 times before you were born. Fuck, I'm old. Don't listen to anything post A Sense Of Truth. Please.
@@its_the_kid3128 Sounds Of A Playground Fading has a couple good songs tho, like the tittle track, The Puzzle. Most of it is shit tho
@@its_the_kid3128 you have no idea how fucking jealous i am hahah
I feel ya, im '00 too. Never had the chance to see so many bands in their prime :/
The guitar tone in this performance is flawless
Bc of the 5150s!
This is, without a doubt, THE best live performance of In Flames.
Watching this makes me feel old. I miss those days
This is dedinitely my alltime favourite live performance of any band, hands down!
yeah it's awesome, but go watch PULSE by pink floyd... ;)
I've watched this performance again and again over the last few years. It's beautiful to see a crowd of people not holding their camera phones up into the air, and instead living in the moment as one army of metal fanatics. In Flames should be immensely proud of what they achieved here \m/
Satan's Funhouse couldn't agree more. Sure take a pic or two for memory sakes but lately it's been getting completely out of hand. Such a shame...

Nothing compares to Flames, every song feels like coming home for the past 20 years. Thank you guys
Dark Tranquility kompis 😉

True Bro I 've got this DVD in 2005 still legend till now ..
Check out Episode 666 from this concert (on the DVD it’s there as a hidden bonus track). Probably the only mistake you’ll find 😉
No Jesper, no In Flames
Check out the solo in Food for the Gods. Clearly overdubbed.
This is without question one of the greatest live metal performances of all time.
Best in flames concert ever. Wish i was there

There's something about Borders and Shading that I can't explain. I simply love it
Whoever mixed this is a genius.an actual live gig that has impact, clarity.those guitars are really heavy.
Best In Flames performance ever
I simply love "borders and shading" and this live version is jut golden
Their live quality is even better than the recorded one. I love their performance!!! They are real metal to the bone!!!
My favourite live concert of In Flames. Good young time...
This is definitely the best In Flames show - ever! The Sound is surreal.
See you in flames in mexico 2009 the best concert ever
good growl in friend
and in "In Search For I" :D
FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILTH
Miss those days. It's like Disco. This will never happen again.
Every song is amazing, and doesn't seem to age. Idk how they do it. It's so good.
*Did :(
Kinky Nothing they still kick ass live
Matthew Cohn ofc they do... its just their creativity isn't the same

2024 and still kicking ass!
Best band is In Flames, PERIOD.
Realizing this might be the best recording of “artifacts”
Best show live of this band. i love it
one of the finest pieces of live music ever recorded !!

Legendary performance, still banging until now and forever

Damn what I wouldn’t give to see this set live today. They are still going strong but this sure was a special time for them.
I was there! Amazing and such a magical era!
I would like to invent a time machine, go back in time and go to this concert ...
We made it to 2021 in one piece, and I'm still rocking out to the best live performance from In Flames ever recorded.
Watching this in 2024. Peak In Flames for sure!
Jag var där!! Bästa konsert jag någonsin sett...
Legendary live, like Metallica in 1989
2 shows I always rewatch when I need to hear some good music. Especially now in corona times
So true!!! Best 2 live perfomances ever!!! \m/
I also saw Metallica back in 89. I was 17 and your 100% right on the comparison between the 2.
I'm born on bloody 1982, and I have watched even in flames back home in Athens, Greece on 2000

Best live performance I heard in a looooong time! In Flames
When In Flames still was awsome
Estupendo material fílmico, un concierto donde In Flames y el público se entregan por complento, y una perfecta edición de producción
In Flames's best live show but never lost interest for their music from 1994 to 2017 :)
BEST PERFORMANCE EVER

Lost count of how many I've seen this full video, fuckin' ell its so good.
Everything changed when he cut those dreads...everything.
I know, they are fucking great these days.
I wouldn't call "Fucking great" the In Flames we have today... Saw them this past November and the new songs are really, really bad live... The energy of their old stuff is just not there in the new material.
Otto Vainionpää yeah so “fucking great” their best guitarist left the group because he hated the direction everyone else was going with IF
Word!😏
nothing has changed except that they have grown you should also try
In Flames we Trust
!!! \mm/
no matter which decade
2022...oh yes, what a amazing time... always in my heart.. 👍👍
The energy and the flow of In Flames is nothing to others.
Absolutely insane performance. As a fan of the old in flames everything was just pure earcandy. Especially the songs from Behind space and forth...what a chain of eargasms ;)
Anders vocals during this era were just incredible. Wish I could've had the chance to experience it live
This is so amazing!
Might still be the best performance of all time, immortal
Wish I'd seen them back then, all stuff from my favorite albums!
Nonchiie They played my favorite album (STYE) in its full. i would have done unspeakable things to see this
You dont need big venues to shred!! This is peak performance!!
loves how he says before starting "Only for the Weak" 123 nu hoppar vi.
I saw these dudes right after "A Sense of Purpose" dropped, and they literally sounded like the records live (arguably better). Probably one of the tightest and best sounding bands of any genre in a live setting.
this Dec will be the 10th time I've seen them live. HANDS DOWN the best live band EVER. SO FUCKING GOOD
it was, in my opinion, by far theyre best show
still the best live Performance i´ve ver seen !
Forever iconic … sad I got into them right after this era, and never got to experience THIS live!
played cloud connected like it was straight out of the studio, great performance.
I can't believe how fucking crazy good this is
+Per-Anders Nesje I strongly believe it tho so sit ur ass down Anders
Seen this almost exact show at Hammerstein in ny in like 2011. High light of my concert Career
