- This is the most chaotic place in malta to visit and to live, on top 10 i would put this in number 1. the one and only St. Julians. Whilst it is a great place to visit in Malta, this city have the most construction and the most chaotic streets in Malta. This place in Malta has hotels, bars, restaurants, bus stops, lots of activities for tourists, but a lot of construction and noise as well, making it the most
chaotic place in Malta however expats love living in malta specifically in st julians, even tough it is chaotic it is a great place for night life, shopping
and interacting with other expats who live in Malta.

I am so thankful I watched this video. I only came to Malta for one week and I wanted to ensure I visited as many great sites as possible. I prefer the more quiet and relaxing atmospheres, so Alex helped me with my decision to pass on St. Julian
His is my home town who i left 42 years ago,i miss it every day ,st julians is ruined by development, over the years i visited numerous times snd will be there agaun August 23, note ,videp mark 9.10 is the exact place were i was born 60 years ago, akex i just found your channel today and i realy enjoyed your videos so far,i think you are honest and fair. St Julian’s is alright for young people but for older people it’s too noisy, I stayed there once and had very little sleep because of the nightlife. My daughter lived at Madliena for twelve years so I visited Malta many times, this year it’s Gozo for me, so much more peaceful, I like Mdina especially the fantastic views from the wall, glad you are enjoying your life in Malta, your videos are very interesting 😎☕️

My family and I stayed in St Julian's last month, was so nice. The police even let my 4 year old sit in their car! Love your videos all the way from London!!

OMG, Alex, at 4:40-4:50 you were right next to where I lived for 3 months--how wonderful to see that familiar sight of the hill I'd walk down to get to the promenade for morning walks to Sliema and back, and also to the bus stops to get to work. Thank you! Walking to St. George's Bay beach and around it up to Pembroke was good morning exercise, too, and both Spinola Bay and St. George's Bay are beautiful. And you ended up at a great place to look out at Spinola Bay, which I think never gets old to look out at and that end has numerous great restaurants. I remember the streets that you showed busy with people and shops and restaurants feeling much like big cities I'm used to so I felt in my comfort zone, but because of living where you showed the more traditional buildings and quieter stores, I found that a person can live and sleep in quiet in St. Julien's and feel in a good comfort zone, at night too. Living in Paceville would be too noisy, though, I think. Loved that you showed how you're being recognized and given love by your followers there, too! Thank you for another enjoyable video!

Saint Julian’s was very different before! My mum used to live in Saint Julian’s as a kid and she used to run around, go to beaches with her friends there used to be no cars at all!

St Julian’s too noisy and too busy having stayed there, sleep, what’s sleep. I’ve stayed in Sliema many times and my daughter lived in Madliena for twelve years. This year we are going to Gozo, so much more peaceful, Xlendi lovely and the ferry ride is not many minutes. I enjoy your video’s, my daughter could tell you so much about Malta ✈️☕️

Stayed in Beach garden hotel on St georges bay last week. Didn't visit no where as much of st julians as i should have as the BMTH malta weekender was taking place and that was taking up most of the time i was there. WILL BE BACK IN MALTA for sure.

Hi Alex - I love your videos! Thank you very much for producing such entertaining and useful content. My wife just returned from a great holiday in Malta. We loved everywhere we visited - except St Julian's!! We disliked this place so much that, although we'd spent nearly an hour on the bus getting there, we left again after less than an hour. Too much construction, too many night clubs and just - as you said - too chaotic! We realised that it wasn't the place for us and spent another hour getting to Mdina instead. Much more what we wanted. I'm not making this comment to complain about St Julian's; I just wanted, for the sake of any future visitors, to confirm that place will only suit a certain type of person, if you see what I mean!?

Perhaps Alex can tell us whether it makes any sense for an English speaking foreigner who plans to live in Malta for an extended period of time to learn Maltese. Since Maltese is a Semitic language like Arabic learning it from scratch for most English speakers could be quite daunting.
Hi Alex, I totally remember my first visit back to Malta and I rented a flat on Triq Lapsi, up a hill on the opposite side from Spinola Bay. Yes it is a very chaotic area but just a few minute walk from there, it does get quieter. My last visit I rented in Ballutta Bay, again a few minutes walk into the town north of the water. My upcoming trip will also be in Sliema, close to Ballutta Bay, close to the water but still far enough to. Be in a quiet area and not woken up by young people walking home half drunk from the clubs in Paciiville! What’s ironic about the name , paci means peace in Maltese and in no way is it peaceful!

Enjoyed the walk through my old haunts from back in the day Alex! I'm still here in the UK...tons of rain (HATE getting wet but it is what it is right now😏) For a complete change of scenery I tune into Cecilia Blomdahl who lives on a Norwegian island near the North pole...shes very similar to u in character. I don't know why but I think it should be twinned with our little island just for the fact that it's pole opposite's apart from maybe it's size!

Hey Josephine, thank you and im glad you enjoy my videos. As you noticed that bin is full, and its always full, people throw their garbage in the bin, but there arent people to empty those bins and the problem is, St Julians is super busy and emptying bins should be more frequent☺️
I wouldn't say it was heaven when under the Mintoff administration. But I agree before the Malta joined the EU it was only Maltese people that lived there and English experts. So sad to see the change hopefully one day you will get the vote to leave.Italy and France will be next.
is it easy to get a golden visa with canadian passport ? I wanna move somewhere in southern europe. Italy, Malta Spain or Portugal would be great. I ve been to Malta many time before between 2011-2015. It was pretty good over there. I work remote and I make around 6000 Euros net/month. It would be enough for a family of 3. I guess.

Forget Malta, it's too small an Island full of noise and traffic, constant building. You would do better in Spain or Portugal you can drive of use trains to explore the other countries

St Julian's is pretty? Noisy, chaotic, crowded with people and lofty buildings filthy, etc.. How about places like Pembroke, gharghur, bahrija, dingli, and the sort being georgeous?
