Fishing the shad run in Washington & Oregon. One of the most fun days of fishing for shad this year. We caught only what we needed and also foraged for wild sweet pea. Great time and enjoy the video!
We went on a Saturday & early morning is best in my past experiences. The shad run should still run towards middle of July if your fishing at the Bonneville Dam. Hope this info helps and “fish on”!!!

Shad fishing is so much fun when the bite is hot like this. I haven't been for a couple years. I have never fished up there, only the Willamette River. My Cousin pickled some one time and they were very good. I just use them for crab bait. I would love to see a video on how you use them or prepare them. We had a blast! We dehydrated some of the shad & some we fermented it. The fermented ones will be grilled and then eaten with sticky rice. I just sent you a message. Looking forward to the collaboration. Let’s do this!!!

what's the regs on the oregon side?/, never fish on that side before, same as no license and limit? waves seems much stronger on that side
