Take yourself back to when you were 10 years old, cruising around the neighbourhood with your friends, building jumps out of bricks and plywood. Times were simpler back then and so were the bikes. The humble single-speed BMX was the bike of choice, and for good reason, they were durable and easy to maintain. The main downside with these bikes is that they were super heavy with their steel frames. That’s why Polygon has produced the Rogue, a lightweight alloy BMX bike that is the perfect way for the young rider to begin their BMX or cycling journey.
What we love about BMX bikes is that they are so adaptable, and the rogue is no different, suiting most riders from 120 to 160cm or 4’ to 5’2”. For older riders hitting the skatepark you can drop the saddle down to the collar to get it out of the way for maneuvers and tricks. While for younger riders, simply raise the saddle, tilt it forward, and roll the handlebars closer, and the bike is easily adapted for pedaling in the seated position, providing a great solution for someone looking to keep the bike for a long time.
More often than not steel bikes at this price point are heavy and come with low-quality components. The poor geometry and heavy components really restrict younger riders' ability to develop their skills. This is where the Polygon Rogue excels; all the components are true BMX quality - you won't find quill stems or one-piece cranks here. Instead, you'll find nylon platform pedals, powerful v brakes, and alloy cranks.
So if you are looking for a lightweight BMX bike that can grow with your child into their teen, with quality components, check out the Polygon Rogue.
