- A quick video showing how to replace the front brake rotors/discs and pads on any VW-group product which uses the 'FS-III" caliper and 256mm rotor/disc such as certain variants of the Polo 6R and 6C (2010-2017), VW up!, VW New Beetle, VW Golf, Skoda Fabia, Skoda Citigo, Seat Mii etc. The car used in the video is a 2011 VW Polo 6R 66TDI
What's the tool called you are using at 03:01? Can't wait to do this myself as most shops as stupid prices for a replacement!
Good tip with grease on the caliper piston.
Thank you very much, this really helped me
Thank you! I am glad this helped you
Hi I just changed the pads and disks on my polo and they now make a clicking noise while driving. But the noise goes away when I press the brake
Ensure the wheels are torqued correctly. I’ve never heard clicking noises from this brake system before
My pad on the outside of the disk was rubbing on the inside of the wheel.
Thank's man. What kind of grease is that?
It’s Permatex Ultra Disc Brake Caliper Lube. Thanks for watching
Is that allen key 7? If i'm right.
Tomorow i have the same work to do. Thank's for the video.
Yes, 7mm Allen key
Very useful - helps if you need to do the job yourself and can see what tools are needed etc. Thanks
Thank you for watching!
Do you have a torque spec on the caliper bolts or how tight should they be ? Great video btw!
30 Nm
Great job helpful thanks
Thanks so much! Glad it helped you out
This here what y'all lookin fore: 0:58-1:08....
Dont forget the clean the new rotor!! It has oil on from the factory to prevent rust. Get the oil off with break cleaner or soap and water both sides.
These rotors are not oiled so do not require cleaning during installation
Nothing special to see
