One thing i noticed you said is join marauders if you want to pvp, it depends on the server but almost all the time all the factions will pvp the same, dont let that sway what color u choose.
That is true. The reason I say that is because of how the Marauders faction is portrayed. It is known as the faction of war. The other factions worry about other things.

I understood why people didn't like the game and why many people stopped playing but I still love it and hope that people come back as well. They have done a lot to fix what people were frustrated with
As long as they communicate with the community I think they'll do fine. A big problem they had upon release is that they didn't talk to the community and people left because they didn't feel their concerns were being met.
thanks, great video. In my opinion there is no pvp-oriented faction. Guilds - yes, factions - no. All factions would have pvp players/guilds and pve players/guilds. So just pick the one you like (either color or description haha)
If you boil it all down, yes every faction does PvP and PvE. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that Covenant is pushed to be a faction that "cleanses the land of corruption" (PvE), Syndicate is pushed as "those who search for secret knowledge" (PvE), and Marauders are pushed as a "military force that kills and fights" (PvP). When you take that into consideration, PvP is much more likely to be found in the Marauders than in Syndicate and PvE is probaly more likely in Syndicate and Covenant. I think this became very obvious shortly after the first release when most servers were overrun by Marauders. At one point they completely controlled my entire server map.
Everyone keeps mentioning to pick the Archtype based off the profession you will use the most. However, if going for long game, wouldn't it be better to do something like fishing since from what I understand its the most tedious? Just a thought, maybe I'm way off
If your ultimate goal is to max out all trade skills and not to get the best start with trade skills you want to use, yes I would agree. I don't want to max out trade skills or do fishing, so even though I want to play with a great sword I will not be choosing swordbearer. Fishing is definitely the most tedious though so that's a good point
hmm i dont know that our equipment type drop will be depend on the equipment we equip, thanks for this advice, it can help me to farm the gear i want better
They put out an update a while back adding this "feature." It is weighted. Doesn't mean you won't get other stuff but the game will try to drop stuff in line with what you have equipped.
In the open beta there was no weapons laying around as it is currently. Seems you get new weapons based on loot luck until at least you arrive the city and have access to the traiding post.

That's a fair point. When I first started ESO they had one room in the starting area with one of each of the weapons. You could pick them up and try all of them. It was a great way to introduce the weapons. Alternatively, Lost Ark let's you play all the classes in an arena with an enemy before making a selection. With New World you're picking just off looks which is bad in my opinion. The weapons in the starting area at least ensured people could get the weapon they want.

Agreed. Around the time I was max level someone recommended I use hatchet as my secondary but I was so used to the hammer that I didn't want to switch. Maybe if I was introduced to it earlier I would have switched over. They really need a test arena like Lost Ark so people can try out the weapons before starting.
When it comes to guilds and factions, can you join more than one? Can you change later on? As a new player I'm not 100% sure what my end game will look like. Some games I really love pvp and some I hate it. All I know is im a dad who's only able to play an hour or two late at night after the wife and kid are in bed, but I don't know what kind of grind I'll want to be on during those few available hours.
You can only be in one faction at a time and the company you can join is based on that faction. I'm not sure if there is a cooldown after you join your first faction but I know there is a 90 to 120 cooldown after you change factions. I don't remember there being a cooldown between switching companies.
Late comment, but the new start does not give you all the weapon types. I had nearly every weapon type drop during the first few levels, but I switched weapons a bit later and bought a decent set from the 2nd level of the faction vendor (level 25).

Really? Do you know how far in they give them? I made a new character lately and I got to level 30 in the beta and don't remember them giving you any tools. Even with that though, I still recommend people to build it at the first campfire because you can gather stuff between the starting area and then first city. No point in missing out on that because of a few sticks and flint.
Someone pointed this out right after you did. I didn't realize it but I have colorblind mode on and that gives the video a brown tint. I just logged into the game, turned it off, and I now notice the tint. Should be good for future videos. Huge thanks for pointing this out!
which faction you choose doesn't influence pvp or fighting at all 5:00.. it doesn't influence anything actually, it only determines which companies you can join.
In my opinion, it greatly affects PvP. The people who join Marauder tend to be people who want to do PvP more than other factions. It also affects the quests you get because each faction has different quests.
@@BraidedZero Yeah.. maybe. I'm not sure, i've never experienced that, it's just a feeling that you have. But my point is you make it sound a bit like you will get pvp focused rewards when you join marauders. There's no actual mechanical difference between the factions is what i'm saying :)
Yeah, the gameplay in the video is. They revamped the entire 1-65 experience which is pretty polished now. Soooo…. Hopefully they can work on the end game more 💁
They have fine tuned a lot. Even in the current state it's a different story with a lot of polish. The update on the 15th will make it even better. Let's wait and see how it goes. Be cautious but give it a chance.
Not exactly the same and reason it lost so many players was bad management and bad bugs game is much different and most of the problems have been fixed

During my time recently I have had little encounters with bugs, running out of azoth constantly isn't a problem, and the endgame loot is really good. Yes, there is still stuff wrong but the big stuff seems better. The communication from the studio is still very lacking. We were promised a timeline a long time ago and we have only just recently received a little information.
