I was born and raised In montesano. Lived on Val Vista dr. There was a road behind my parents house called highland dr. And that's where buzz Osborne lived. Used to be able to hear them jamming from our house. And would see Kurt, Krist, and Chad drive by almost everyday to go rock out in buzz's garage.
Thank God he finally lightened up. Vedder was a uptight asshole back in the 90's, always making some big stupid attempt to prove he was different from other rock stars. Totally insecure and pretending to be some Bono type.
Matt Lukin was to the Seattle Music Scene or Grunge Scene, or insert your favorite monicker, what Nick Oliveri was to the Palm Desert Music Scene. Everybody knows the guy. All the bands know and love the guy. He’s played with many of the successful bands and he’s maybe got a loose screw somewhere, in a good way….. 😂
This guy gets one of the most badass tunes, from one of the greatest ROCK bands and he doesn't know which tunes are from what albums. Wtf, I'd SURELY KNOW all the info. Haha. Loved he could only laugh through the interviewer talking about it. So freaking cool
Wow, what a life. All these cool dudes, all just regular brothers cutting up & drinking some beer…..Pearl jam is my favorite band ever. The lyrics are so relatable & even more so, when 20 years go bye and you thought he was singing something, & it was totally not even close….. where I could write a song based on what I thought he was saying ( if that makes sense lolhaha) I love too smoke cigarettes, but I wish vedder didn’t, cause it’s taken a toll on his voice. He used too really sing good, very much so to me anyhow
Underrated comment but, yeah. I can just see it, Lukin would probably call him up and tell him to blow off the old battle axe and come over for a beer. I think he would have benefited greatly.
They recently played a gig in my home town of Ballarat, which is a regional town in the Australian state of Victoria. It was a fantastic gig. After all these years they can still rock.
@@startervisions Lmao have you ever read Mark Lanegans book? He said the shit was so loud they practiced in the basement he slept on the third floor and it would vibrate his bed across the room lol

Bella, interesting. Been a fan like most since 10. I'm curious what your top 2 are? I'm unable to choose a favorite anything by the guys because it's all what I love. As a music lover through the 80s I was desperate for music that felt like I did and then BAM here's pj and 10. Everyone likes to bicker about Nirvana, AIC etc being better, more responsible for the change but I've always preferred Pearl Jam. Just suits ME best. So anyway please share which 2 you prefer. Could guess No Code n VS but depends hugely if you like the raw pj or the slightly more mellow. In that case it may be Yield and Gigaton?
I would agree if you change that to 20th century. No melvins- no nirvana... alt universe Seattle explosion more of a firecracker as far as the world is concerned.

Cool around what year
Man, Ed and Matt need a podcast to tell all their stories.
Vedder is just a regular dude hanging out in the kitchen at the end of the day. Gotta love it!
He’s a surfer. The tribe is mellow
@@nicholaskruger9460 you sound ridiculous 😂
Lukin is the same name as the Pearl Jam song :) 1996 from the No Code album

Mudhoney live in 89-90 were untouchable. Their gigs were out of control.
Totally. To me, Mudhoney were the quintessential live band.
@Let Your L⚡️GHT Forever Shine ❤️ wannabes? 😭 mudhoney’s been around before the grunge explosion
Going to see Mudhoney tomorrow night! Halloween show! 🤘
@@jmichael91 Mudhoney STARTED the whole thing, IMHO.
The fuse just took a bit longer😅
Just revisited No Code on a road trip last week! Been a lifelong Pj fan & never knew the origins of 'Lukin’. Really cool video, guys.

“I can’t imagine being a woman…” - Matt Lukin
Dude, I laughed hard at that one. 🤣😂🤣
Bloody died at Eddies response.
I love the song Lukin!! 😊🤘✌️Pearl Jam ❤️ My favorite band.
"Me and this dude named Pearrrrrrr" I absolutely love Lukin!! What a nut, man.🤣🤣🤣🤣
These guys are amazing! Love Pearl Jam & Mudhoney!
Pearl Jam, Mudhoney…what’s the difference?
Main reason I kept watching was to hear Lukin laugh some more.
This is pure gold. I would actually like to see some of Matt's carpentry work.
I'm noticing a pattern here with all of his stories involving sitting around drinking beer :)
Made me wanna grab a drink!
i could listen to him tell stories all day
I could listen to him laugh all day!
Ack Ack
This is absolutely magnificent. Cheers for posting.
His laugh is class 😂
It gets old after a while. I couldn’t imagine hanging out with that all night.
Matt Lukin is a gift to humanity
Literally the funniest human on the planet
I would watch many hours of this.
I was hoping he'd tell us how Eddie does that upside down smile thing when he sings.
Love ya Matt, saw your parents last night at zane and ams, they look fantabulous my friend! Come jam...bring Eddie🎶
These are exactly the kind of guys you'd want to hang out and have a beer with.
Open the fridge
I've met Matt a couple times. Such a great, funny, cool guy.
4:17 that is the longest laugh I’ve ever heard 😂 13 seconds
Fair play, your comment made me chuckle for a world record 14 seconds👍
Imagine being able to refer to him as Vedder. 🤯😂
This guy has a laugh that when you know he's ripping you off,you seem okay with it.
Cosmic Psychos, laughs, tokes. This was fun. Usually everyone from that state has a great disposition.

When he described Krist friends drinking beer...dudee 🤣🤣.
Thanks for this video 👍🤘🙂🎶.
Matt sounds like Krusty the Clown! Sound dude though, I've been listening to Mudhoney since the late 80s.
Early mudhoney shows made my life better.
Matt Lukin for president 2024! 👌
Gotta love stories about Ross from the Cosmic Psychos
I see a common theme to all of these stories 😂😂~🍺🥃🍸
Wicked story, long live grunge!!
My husband and I named our dog Lukin after this dude
Love it
After him or the song? Not bein trollie just like that you named him that. Is he quick and crazy?

He has a badass laugh😁
1994/95 was really special
That tidbit about the Taco Time having phonetic spelling for every item fucking sent me.
Cosmic Psychos Ross is too funny. Sounds like these guys had more fun than we can imagine 😅
I could listen to Matt Lukin read the phone book...as long as he laughs every 30 seconds or so.
that's the way you treat a friend, like a person. not like a god even when he is famous
Damn. People get old. Me included. Glad Matt Lukin is still energetic. I been listening to Mudhoney long time. Here Come Sickness.
