I'm so jealous of your place. I live in a one-room in Gwangju. It's about the size of your kitchen. And you have an oven!? Aahhh! I hope you make lots of cookies. I won't even start on the bathtub. Good Job!
I know the feeling. I just moved into a new apartment and I don't have a sofa either and I sleep on an air mattress. But I like decorating so it's gonna be fun to decorate everything. Enjoy your new apartment.
Bought or rented? How much did it set u guys back? How high up are you guys? The apartment Looks HUGE! This is considered a luxury condo right, What kind of facilities does it come with? I'm really interested in the property and housing situation over there...
I love you two! So glad to watch your videos and get glimpses of South Korea and the culture there. AND you do it in such a fun way. Thanks for all your hard work.
Zed Macadaeg when you meet the right one (and it seems like they have), i think you can be yourself.. no matter how different you might be~ honestly though, they're pretty funny people lol
so happy for you guys :D your old apartments were great but i feel like this one is just so big and nice and has all the amenities you need for an actual home! congrats!
Hello from a fellow Canuck! I'm from Vancouver and recently found AND subscribed to your channel. I just moved back from living 7 years in Hong Kong and have ALWAYS wanted to visit Seoul but never got the chance 😥 but after seeing your videos I am on a mission to make it happen!! I look forward to learning more about Seoul thru you guys cuz you're funny and informative 😅 and btw Martina reminds me of Scarlett Johanssen 😄 you so pretty girl!!
urantsetseg Orsoo Huh? 100 million... Does that mean you're buying the place? And for how long? I know space is expensive there (especially in Seoul), but I have an apartment bigger than that for 3,000/month in Houston. I feel like I'm misunderstanding something... Lol.
how much did it cost for rent? it looks huge. very beautiful. i want to move to korea with my friend in a few years time. what kind of cost am i looking at to rent an apartment like this?
Hey Simon and Martina! I love you guys! I was just wondering if you guys ever wanted to has kids. If so would you raise them in Korea? If you do would you enroll them in an international school so that they can speak and properly learn both English and korean? Or would you rather just move back to canada and have korean as their second language?
Martina and Simon! Congratulations on finding your dream home! Moving definitely sucks but, finding the right place makes it all worthwhile. Thanks for posting this video: your new place is HUGE by even Canadian standards. Good luck! Great to see Spudgy and Meemers too. Peace and Love to all of you!
My friend and I plan on moving to Korea for a few years after we graduate high school and see the colleges and to apply there. I wanted to know how much it would cost for that type of apartment for 2 beds,2 baths? And since i heard your teacher over there do u know how they would accept a student from America to go to KNUA ( Korea National University of Arts)
Not to say it isn't possible but I would give this some very deep thought. It is pretty easy to get into Universities in foreign countries if you understand the language/pass the entrance exams/and are able to pay for it. Living in Seoul in an apartment this size is incredibly expensive (About 3000USD or more) as it is much larger than the average, there is a bigger problem you could face though. Most countries in order to live for an extended period of time there, you need a visa; this is where the university would come in, but in order to get it there are even bigger steps than passing exams; you have to prove you can pay. Pretty much give them upfront evidence that you have enough to live (Typically around 30,000USD) to even have the visa approved. And you should also realize that your country will most likely not pay a cent for you to study in a different country's university and visa-versa Korean Universities aren't too likely to accept it either. But if money is no object to you the only real thing to do is to study your Korean to the max and get in contact with the school; Since it's a National School I doubt you'll be the first foreigner they've had~ Good Luck~!
Purinboshi Thank you for the informafion. I'm not the richest person and I'll probably rent an officetel then if apartments are expensive. Yes I know that university's in Korea are hard to get into and a lot of money since it's overseas but it's my dream to get into knua or ehwa university. How would you highly get into the university you want? These schools are music. I'm trying to major in music in korea.
linh nguyen To get into the university it really depends on the school, really you should contact the University's admissions offices in your Junior year and ask them about what it takes for foreign students to study there. Since it's music depending on what about music you want to study they may ask you to audition as the entrance exam. Music/art schools while not at the top of the list for many Korean students it is still very competitive, but if you've got promise they could look easier on you than a Korean student at your same level. A visa is basically a document in your passport that says what you can and cannot do in a country; as well as how long you can stay there. There is everything from spousal visa, student visa, working visa, tourist visa, and many many maaaaaannnyyyy more haha Tourist visa you don't usually need to prove anything, Spousal visa you need to be married to a Korean citizen, Working visa means a company will sponsor you to work there or you financially can prove you make a bunch of money so you can sponsor your own visa, and lastly the student one; after applying to the school and getting in, you have to apply at your nearest Korean Embassy; from there you have to prove that you have around 13,000USD accessible to you(Basically just give them a bank statement), and it should all be approved. But as you said since you're not the richest person as most people aren't it could be potentially very difficult for you to pay for it as the US government doesn't allow standard federal aid for outside universities, and usually banks won't give student loans in this situation either. Personally I would suggest if going to Korea is very important to you; find a university in your own country that teaches Korean and/or has an exchange program with a Korean university so you could potentially study aboard and see if it really is the place for you. If it is, then when you graduate do as Simon and Martina did and go work there! There's always a way to get where you want in life, it might just take a few more steps and some more waiting than you would like lol
i loved your new house. so modern and big.. the windows are AWESOME! i super duper love your master's bedroom! i like the window. i wish my room's window was like that .
I burst in to immense laughter when I noticed how Simon has to spread his legs in order to match with Martina's height...at the end of the video. Now I have a clear understanding about how tall Simon 195 MAN height is...LOL

I'm so jealous of your place. I live in a one-room in Gwangju. It's about the size of your kitchen. And you have an oven!? Aahhh! I hope you make lots of cookies. I won't even start on the bathtub. Good Job!

Update!!!!!!
I'm moving to Korea in a few years. I was wondering how much an apartment this big would cost you....
urantsetseg Orsoo really that much? are you joking?
urantsetseg Orsoo Huh? 100 million... Does that mean you're buying the place? And for how long? I know space is expensive there (especially in Seoul), but I have an apartment bigger than that for 3,000/month in Houston. I feel like I'm misunderstanding something... Lol.
Um idk exactly but 100 million won is around 90 000 US dollars....
110qm actually costs about 300 millions, which is about 300k dollars. Believe me I'm korean
Meemers is adorable!

Well they would learn English perfectly either way, since both simon and martina are certified English teachers.
Oh yeah, I completely forgot that they were initially English teachers.
martina is awesome
Tell Hyoyeon I said HI! lol!
Nice apartment. Super cute kitten and puppy.
Omg love all the big windows and how high up the place is!!
Simon's really funny and cool, but...Martina's coolest! :P

Your cat is so pretty!
Your dog is just the cutest thing, I can't breath why am I laughing so much from looking at him?! He's the cutest dog I've ever seen!
