    I wish you would have shown how to install the new stator and apply the gasket. This video showed me nothing that I didn't already know how to do.

    can you do one where you don't fast forward the most important part and talk through what your doing.

      My bike has a new battery as of yesterday. Same exact bike. I have had it shut the screen and engine off when I come to a stop with the clutch in. Has this happened to you before replacing the parts in the video? Trying to figure out if there’s a wiring issue or if I need to order the parts.

    • @wyattpryan
      @wyattpryan  2 роки тому +2

      If the screen went off too I would say there is either a wiring issue somewhere in the bike or your charging system is dead. Easiest way to tell us to simply check the voltage of your battery when this happens. If your battery is reading 12v or so and everything is dead on the bike then you probably have a loose connection somewhere which could be a bad ground to frame which would require tightening all loose bolts connecting wires to the frame and battery, a bad or broken were connector, which you can check by checking for broken or burnt out connectors, making sure they are all right and in good shape, or lastly it could be a kill switch, such as kick stand, tip over sensor, or the main handle bar kill switch, if any of these are faulty it could cause your bike not to start at all, BUT kill switches wouldn't make your screen die like your said.
      If your battery reading is less than 11v and your bike just clicks when you try and start it and the battery is new like you said, your charging system is busy likely toasted. You can check this by getting the bike started after charging the battery beforehand. I've it's started check the voltage of the battery with the bike running, at idle it should be 13v or higher minimum 13.5v-14v to be healthy at idle. Then rev the bike to 5000 rpm and gold it at that rpm and check the voltage again, you should have 14.5v - 15v at 5000rpm.
      If your voltages are below that then you know for sure the charging system is bad and needs replaced.
      Now learn this from my mistakes: DO NOT BUY CHEAP PARTS!!! haha
      In this video I bought some cheap kit on eBay and it died within a couple weeks. After many years and many other bikes, the absolute best stator and regulator,/rectifier you can buy for the best price is "Rick's Electric". You buy both pieces from that brand at any retailer (eBay, Amazon, partzilla,bike bandit, etc) you will never have to worry about it again👍 and your absolutely have to buy both parts as when one part goes out it will always destroy the other.

    I just want to know what is the problem with this 954 so you replace the stator? i want to compare with my 929 problem . My 929 suddenly died when I traveled event only 1km, but it immediately started again and repeated again and again. I just want to know what is the cause, cdi, pulser, or stator coil because this motorbike is very easy to start, and very good idle.

    Hey man can you post a video of a tutorial on how to replace the spark plugs on this bike. I got a 2002 cbr 954rr fireblade and I want to figure it out! Thanks!

      I no longer have this bike, but it's really simple, remove the gas tank, then the air box, and then the plugs. I recommended getting a PDF copy of the shop manual. It has step by step instructions for everything you could do to the bike, from simple maintenance to complete rebuilds. You can find free copies online usually shared by ppl in online forums.

    Help-me my brother Friend, I have a problem with my cbr 954,
    If the rectifier and stator are in trouble, does the motorcycle start?

    • @wyattpryan
      @wyattpryan  4 роки тому +1

      So the stator and rectifier are a two part system that is what keeps your bikes battery charged, if your bike wont start and none of your lights come on (or are very weak) then your battery is dead. Now this could mean that you simply need a new battery and that's it, or that you may need a new battery AND a rectifier and stator. If these symptoms are what you're experiencing then start with a new battery and then try starting the bike, if it starts then measure the voltage like I show in the last minute or so of this video. Lemme know if you have any other questions!

      If you're talking about the plastic clips, just flat head screw drivers, I would recommend buying some new clips from like autozone or somewhere similar as you are likely to break the old ones, they become frail and weak over time
