As a child of the Seventies, my parents used to drive us around in the vehicles you restore. Especially the '71 Ford F100. Cool story bro: our windshield busted out of the Ford, and my dad drove with us to the repair shop with the wind full blast in our faces, when a bug hit me square in the face at 60+ MPH. Thanks for the memories, Mortske!
Spot on as usual - rims, tires and stance really make the look, and I'm with you in that 32 inches is likely the perfect tire on that 250 for actual driving without a lift - same for the 60s K-10s on 16x5 steelies. Really appreciate this video and your approach. There's so much to learn each time, like the Bronco front hub repair when I saw you pull the axle out to get the C clip back on. I found the same clip floating on grease when I pulled the manual hub on a swapped blazer axle - and now I know just enough more than the last guy who put it back "together".
That’s a sweet looking rig, those tires are perfect for it. I’d go with slimmer trim rings with freshly painted wheels. Duff is awesome. Great video Mortske.
On camera those wheels with the hub caps and those thick beauty rings looks pretty good to me , pretty slick ! Got the ol Mortske touch for sure I can dig it
Yep because the thing below the oil pan is a stabilizer screw jack basically to secure vehicles on the lift for more safety since people have to be under the lift prying on the heavy duty driveline components so the vehicle doesn't suddenly shift and cause major issues.

Hi Mortske and Duff. Great looking Ford. My older Brother owned one that year. He kept it for a long time. Those C6 transmission's were tough. All my very best.

I love your videos! When you asked if anyone had a trick to bend them back, well I use a big adjustable wrench and bend the bead back, to where its straight.
This is bringing back bad memories. I did this to my c6. You're doing everything the same. It's the sealing rings holding you up. You gotta jiggle the pump in. The second gear band.....I'm commenting as I'm watching so good luck. Lol
I think you should keep those tires only like you said if they don't rub. That truck looks badass. I can't believe you didn't balance them . In watching the video I couldn't see any vibrations to the steering wheel......crazy. Good job on the transmission! Most people, like myself would've gone straight to a shop lol. Its always good to put some more fire power in your arsenal. Thanks for sharing and have a nice day 😃
What, no starter fluid and a match to seat the beads? Such a satisfying "POP" when it does finally seat though... And I dig the white steelies, I vote keep 'em with dog dishes and no trim rings.
Learn by doing, that is usually the right way! Looks like you did it the right way! From the looks of it Duff thought the ride went ok! Great video, thanks!

Way to stay with a project!! You just kept going deeper down the rabbit hole. I would have taken it to a guy. Glad it's back together and Duff got to go for a ride. Great save on the bulged-out barrel bottom!! That was almost catastrophic. Now just have to wait til next Monday for the next project. Thanks!
Mortske, sold my 70 f 100 to a friend recently. He drove it from San Francisco California to parkton North Carolina. 2,700 mi. No breakdowns. $800 in gasoline ( and that's before it really went up) 13 MPGs average. One of the best Ford pickups I ever owned. My all-time favorite 1970 GMC 350 stick.
i am not a automatic transmission professional. I have always been told that the torque converter should be filled with fluid before installing into the pump, also as you may already know, the Torque Converter has to be completely engaged as you slide it in and keep rotating it with hand push pressure toward the pump to fully line up the splines and seat the Torque Converter into the front pump or damage to the pump will happen when the transmission is matted to the engine. Love your 71 Ford 4X4
That's a clean bump side. Shouldn't have any trouble getting your asking price. That lift sure makes life easier. Thanks Mortske, Mojo & Duff for another video
Hey brother used to have one like that a 73 model you badass granuloma and all in it it would pull a house down off foundation in 4-wheel drive I'm glad to see it because it reminds me of the one I had good luck may God bless you
Cool beans on the transmission. Good old Ford . Looks fantastic. Buff it. Fix the dif and do what you need to do with the old girl. Great job keep up the good work.
Whenever I resealed a pump on a C6, or similar transmission I would tighten the front band up that way that drum can't fall forward when you pull the pump out. I will gladly give you advice on some of these projects, I'm a retired tech. I was in the business from 1975- 2005 I damn sure DO NOT know everything, and I stay away from the people that know everything, seriously if you need some pointers let me know. Love the truck, wish I could come across a pristine example like that . Keep doing what you are doing it clearly works and the data ,subs and views proves it. There is always someone who goes for a different cup of tea. Lift the truck a couple inches if it rubs. Leave it if not.

Lol when that thing was falling over, I literally audibly said nooooo, then you caught it. Good video pal.
Thanks for the support
Our Monday just got better
I love your videos! When you asked if anyone had a trick to bend them back, well I use a big adjustable wrench and bend the bead back, to where its straight.
This is bringing back bad memories. I did this to my c6. You're doing everything the same. It's the sealing rings holding you up. You gotta jiggle the pump in. The second gear band.....I'm commenting as I'm watching so good luck. Lol
when I was a working stiff I swear we had 2 Mondays now that I'm old and retired and watch your channel I want those 2 Mondays
Thanks for sharing and have a nice day 😃
We did balance them
@@MortskeRepair well I guess that explains it then lol
Man, the white wheels looked great! Duff looks like a perfect match for that color scheme...
🐾🐾♥
I think so too!
And now I must order Duff gear...I keep forgetting - gettin' old and all...
What, no starter fluid and a match to seat the beads? Such a satisfying "POP" when it does finally seat though... And I dig the white steelies, I vote keep 'em with dog dishes and no trim rings.
Haha, next time!
Learn by doing, that is usually the right way! Looks like you did it the right way! From the looks of it Duff thought the ride went ok! Great video, thanks!
Thanks
I love the 67-72 generation of Ford trucks. Yours is a great looking truck, especially being a 4x4.👍😁
Thanks 👍
That's cool about graduating highschool in 2003 and going to Australia for playing ball,I myself graduated in 1998 was supposed to graduate in 1997 but was held back in 1st grade..
Finally broke down and bought a T-shirt off a UA-camr, your my 1st. Don't get the big head or nothing. Lol
But seriously it fit great and got it surprisingly fast. Grabbed a couple stickers while I was there, very satisfied. Keep up the great content. I went back and watched a couple things twice. I've never tackled a transmission and transfer case so I learned something
Much appreciated!
You know when you got 107,000 subscribers that's the kind of stuff you have to put up with. You're going to hear a lot of stuff more than once. It just goes with the territory.🙂👍🇺🇸
Great channel.
Mojo is “the guy” too. A wealth of knowledge and experience.
Couldn't agree more!
Thanks!
Couldn't quit or UA-cam would tear us apart!
Wow...I'm feeling the Cadillac. I had a 59 Plymouth. Also had the fins. Probably only thing that they had in common.
That's awesome! Other than the gas bill...
I really like that truck
Thanks
i am not a automatic transmission professional.
That is correct
That's a clean bump side. Shouldn't have any trouble getting your asking price. That lift sure makes life easier. Thanks Mortske, Mojo & Duff for another video
Thanks for watching!
Thanks! Will do!
Most UA-cam guys would have deleted on thier "mistakes"
But you use it as a learning experience...which it is.👍
Damn straight
Whenever I resealed a pump on a C6, or similar transmission I would tighten the front band up that way that drum can't fall forward when you pull the pump out. I will gladly give you advice on some of these projects, I'm a retired tech. I was in the business from 1975- 2005 I damn sure DO NOT know everything, and I stay away from the people that know everything, seriously if you need some pointers let me know. Love your vids Duff is a rock star.
Great tip!
I really enjoyed this video. I have to hand it to you for a guy who never fixed a trans you did a gutsy job. I'm looking forward to the follow up video on this Ford. Duff never panicked. Duff knows.😅
Cool Mr majestic, Charles Bronson. You got all the cool toys. Maybe now that you have more space, congratulations!!! You might consider bringing in the old dodge flat head/ with the goodies. The converted to
P/U low budget unique 🐀rod. Thanks for the cool videos, well done.
Love the truck, wish I could come across a pristine example like that . Keep doing what you are doing it clearly works and the data ,subs and views proves it. There is always someone who goes for a different cup of tea. Lift the truck a couple inches if it rubs. Leave it if not.
Congratulations on your new shop, it looks real nice. Enjoy!
Thank you!
We had a Service Station in the 60's & 70's I always Dug the Hud Caps Great Shop
