As an electric wheelchair user, I really enjoy watching your videos. They allow me to see places and experiences which are otherwise unavailable to me.
If it’s OK with Slim, I recommend also watching Snow & Curt. They are traveling the world in a van. They have been in Mexico, Central and South America the past four years.
Your camera angles are simply amazing! The opening shot in the kayak, the shot from above when you were walking the trail, video taken at ground level among the plants……..thank you for taking the effort to make your videos so stunningly beautiful!
What's crazy is how many times he has to go back set the camera up and then run in front of the shot! I' would be worn out. A great storyteller that keeps you engaged
We love all the pictures and the views thank u so much Bonnie Dozier calera al we watch u every night we r happy for you be safe 👍👍👍 Bonnie Dozier calera al
I’ve used Macs and PC’s both for more than 20 years. Macs are easier to get up to speed on but they are much different than PC’s. Eventually you will love your Mac’s performance and you will love Final Cut Pro…after the learning curve. Don’t give up! You’ll be glad you did. Great video as usual Slim. Thanks!
Everybody needs a little beaver, he said, as I spit my coffee all over me. Well, enough with the high school humor. Excellent adventure, Slim. I've been through Kentucky a couple of times and it is a beautiful state. Safe travels!
Great stuff. Working for the Canadian Coast Guard - I am proud of you for your journey toward the water. You've told your story and responsibly faced your fears...oh, your storytelling is getting better all the time, as well. Cheers from B.C. 👍
Kentucky looks beautiful. The camera work and editing are amazing to me. Must be so much work involved. Great video. Thank you once again for this and taking us along. Safe travels.
Kentucky is my birthplace, Louisville. But great friends from UK days late 60's turned me on to Red River Gorge and Daniel Boone National Park, what a beautiful ares in late spring and early fall. Weekend hideaway for years, getting too popular now. Northeast Maine is summer secret now. ENJOY!
Stunning scenery Slim. Can almost smell the fresh air. Love the insects and that cool rock hole waterfall. Nice to see your kayak getting used. Couldn't help but admire all the work you put in backtracking to get such fabulous trail and boat shots. Your efforts are appreciated. Years since I've seen any Canada Geese, especially given I live in Australia. Looks like a fabulous spot for birding! Ah those spring storms. I would never switch to a Mac from my trusty PC. Your videos were professional anyway. Thanks for a real treat of a video, so much variation of content! The Australian term for a "vault toilet" is a drop dunny by the way. Yep, we all speak English!😁
If you have the time, you should stop in Charlestown Indiana at Charlestown State Park and visit Rose Island. The abandoned remains of a flooded amusement park from many many years ago lie here where the Ohio River flooded. Very cool experience. Campground is amazing as well with very nice hiking! Keep up the great videos! Enjoy watching! Safe travels!

Slim, you hit the big one. Great site, river, and hiking. Everything green. Price perfect. And your video was very high quality. It's one of my favorites. Thanks for sharing.
No matter where you go - you present a story in such a way as to make me want to head there. I like that most of the places you go to are paid & State , Provincial or National. The added benefits such as trails close by are worth it .
After all these years of watching your videos, it hit me why I enjoy them so much. The tone and rhythm of your voice reminded me of Marty Stouffer, who produced “Marty Stouffer’s Wild America”
This is my part of the country. Glad you came!! When I was growing up my Daddy would bring me fishing there. My Mom would fix us a picnic and my brother and I would catch bluegills. Great memories!
Longtime viewer. First time commenter. Congrats on your Mac! I used both but now Mac only. Once you ‘get it’ you will not regret your decision! This Mac produced video is AWESOME!!! Apple phone support is also helpful even without a warranty. Thanks again for another great video!
This video and the one prior in NC are National Geographic quality Slim. Excellent start to finish. Your voice is a gift my friend. Very distinct, enuciating every word with the perfect inflection. Can't say enough good about this. Thanks so much for sharing.
hi slim! dont talk much to ya, but your kentucky trip was wonderful! born an raised there ive swam and fished on the river you were on canoe. im 65 years old, retired and live in florida 40 years now. i luv ya man for 5 years now. keep up the great videos!!! tim from florida
I admire your courage to change electronic devices. I HATE having to change cellphones, so I can only imagine the pain from switching operating systems. Kuddos to you Slim and thank you so very much for the beautiful scenery. 💚
Great video, Slim. I went back to college at 50 to become an RN. What a learning curve! Loved the content, but technology? Ugh! Appreciate your candor. Stay dry & warm. Safe travels.
Pleasant ... simply pleasant! That's how I describe your Channel! Goodonyas! You are a brave man...switching! Yikes! Yeah, I'm sticking with PC. No doubt, you Will master it... determination is a Hallmark in your possession! Go get'm tiger!
Macs aren’t for everyone, but once you get the hang of it, I think you’ll like it. You’re certainly not wrong on it being a learning curve, I too spent a long time on PCs before making the switch, but now that I’ve done it I wouldn’t go back if someone paid me!
I LOVE THE WATER parts of your videos....so peaceful. I swear..you will sit anywhere!! On the edge of cliffs..rocks that you could fall off of...LOL!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Wanna hear something really really strange? I totally love the sound your tires make when you drive in and out of the campsites.... I know, I know... I'm weird! LOL
THANKS Slim, I am amazed of the amount of work you put in just to get a great shot! I suspect you are up and down that steep hill at least three times. Just want you to know how much I appreciate your efforts and then on top of that a new computer and new editing software. Thanks so much Slim for taking us on your adventures!
2 👍🏼👍🏼’s up on your video! I love that you took up kayaking! The more scratch’s on the bottom of the kayak the more fun adventures you have been on. It’s seasoned. Love the thumb print rock. You will adapt to the Apple. Thanks for another great video.!
What s beautiful park! Did you ever see Bee rock? Can you imagine that view in the fall when the leaves are turning? That river seems the definition of a “lazy river”. You were right - you brought the rain. I didn’t know Totina made a vegan pizza.
Just a few years ago the old bridge was under water covered in trees and mud. Camp ground was closed for a couple of years. Glad to see you enjoying our state !
You saw the eagle and that is the money shot. If you could get it on film it would have been great for all of us. Always a pleasure watching your videos.
Hi David. I did it the hard way! Later in the video you see a trestle bridge. I set up the camera to a steel beam with a magnet, then walked back, paddled out and activated the camera with a remote. Took me about an hour for a 20 second shot! SP
Congrats on trying out some new tech! I've used all three of the main operating systems for desktops today, Windows, Mac OS and Linux. People tell me how easy Mac OS is, or how easy Windows are, and how hard Linux is. All I can say is that if you have never used a particular operating system, it is always going to be hard. Over my 40 years in IT, I have learned and become a "power user" or "expert" in over 20 computer operating systems. Coming into one, cold, is always a challenge. Personally, I am currently using Linux, as I agree with it's FOSS, that is Free Open Source Software philosophy, and it many times more stable that Windows. I do keep a copy of Windows on my machines so that I can play games, but that is becoming less needful, and I do have an old iMac around when I want to fiddle with Mac OS. Have fun!
Lol...I did the same exact thing Slim...always used to be on Windows machines and got a new Macbook Pro and using new editing software too but... I can one up the ante... cuz I did it right before moving out of my apt and into a new camper going full-time living on the road out of my new Kimbo! Loving the Dickinson heater that it came with....a video showing it on my channel if ur curious. Thanks for sharing!!
Welcome to the Mac! I would suggest that you format your drives in macOS. I’ve used Macs for 40 years. I only used a PC at work and I didn’t like it. And definitely watch some UA-cam videos on basic use of your Mac. 🤙
Missed you by a week and a couple of days! My girlfriend and I just did the Lookout trail yesterday afternoon. It's a very beautiful area and a great view from up there. You were right, that last little bit up the steps kinda takes your breath away. 🙂
@slimpotatohead Hi Slim. Another awesome video, thanks for going the extra mile. The resulting video is always gorgeous and makes me feel like I'm right out there with you. Wanted to give you a hint about the tostitos pizzas. My family and I are long time campers and that is often our first night dinner. This is how we make our campfire pizzas. We buy them on route so they are defrosted by the time we get to our campsite, then we fold them in half like a taco, then wrap them in a few layers of good aluminum foil and seal the edges. Then we roast the foil covered pizza packets over hot coals, flipping often. I think you could do the same on your cast iron pan, just make sure you're flipping it often. They come out Yummy and we look forward to them as our first night camp meal. Would love to see you give this a try! Happy trails and safe travels.
I feel your pain, Slim. I used PowerDirector for years, have worked with DOS/Windows for most of my life, then ~4 years ago I bought an iMac & MacBook. Learning the OS wasn't too difficult but Final Cut Pro was a heavy lift. Now that I use it all the time, though, I'm so happy that I switched & all the PC hardware sits gathering dust. There are several plug-ins available (or, if you bought Motion, you can make your own) that you may find helpful 🙂. If you're having an issue with the drive on your MacBook you can bring it to an Apple store and they'll help you out. If you feel comfortable with doing your own repairs you can also do a reinstall of the OS using a USB drive. I used to use Time Machine for doing backups but switched to using the backup software made by Acronis. I also do a lot of editing from our camper when we're on the road and found it helpful to get an Office 365 account (which provides 1 TB of OneDrive storage) and a 4 TB SSD drive for doing backups. At home I have a NAS server that is set up to sync with my OneDrive account; when I finish a project I'll upload it to my OneDrive account, which then syncs with the NAS server to provide an extra backup. You can also use a cloud provider like BackBlaze to provide offline storage...but I'm an IT geek who already has a NAS setup for all my other work, so this worked best for my needs 🙂. Happy Travels, Slim, and keep making those great videos, you are an inspiration!
As an electric wheelchair user, I really enjoy watching your videos. They allow me to see places and experiences which are otherwise unavailable to me.
Agreed. Being disabled and homebound myself, I can enjoy these beautiful places vicariously with Slim and other YT campers. 👍😎

If it’s OK with Slim, I recommend also watching Snow & Curt. They are traveling the world in a van. They have been in Mexico, Central and South America the past four years.
For somebody that still is not terribly comfortable on the water, you have really overcome a lot and I love the kayak explorations. Thank you!
Same thing I was thinking

As always, thanks for sharing your personal adventures with us all...
Always love your videos. Calm, no music, great commentary!
Gorgeous terrain, and love the birdsong, even the "noisy group from Canada"! On a hot enough day, I'd be taking a shower in that little cave! 👍😎🇨🇦🪶
Hi Slim nice tranquil waters, beautiful scenery, I see t rain put a damper on your day, thanks for sharing stay blessed
Sooooo peaceful. Bird song, falling water, gliding in a kayak. Your videos are lovely. Thank you for sharing your exploration
Really enjoyed this one. The beaver comment made me spit out my morning coffee 😅
How amazing beautiful was that drone shot at the beginning.
Listening to the birds and the water flow in the cave started my day in bliss 🙏

@slimpotatohead Hi Slim. Another awesome video, thanks for going the extra mile. The resulting video is always gorgeous and makes me feel like I'm right out there with you. Wanted to give you a hint about the tostitos pizzas. My family and I are long time campers and that is often our first night dinner. This is how we make our campfire pizzas. We buy them on route so they are defrosted by the time we get to our campsite, then we fold them in half like a taco, then wrap them in a few layers of good aluminum foil and seal the edges.
