Hello, i'm so excited to watch your videos! Can u make tutorial about "How to export animation from C4D to Spark AR"? I've got cool idea, but i don't know how to do it(
The more blur the edge of the text has, the more grey values there are on the edge, instead of just a black / white hard edge. Because of this, you can give the edge multiple colours through the gradient map
Sorry to bother you with this but i've been looking for an answer and i can't find it anywhere: When i try to save it, the noise layer becomes visibly darker even when i flatten the image! Your tutorial is really awesome and well made and maybe i'm just super dumb but i can't seem to fix it!
Hey man, don’t worry no such thing as a stupid question! So that’s a normal thing with noise overlays, they tend to go weird when exporting, compressing or resizing. I recommend getting your file at the size you want it and modify the darkness or light with a curves adjustment layer to get it back to how you want it!
Thanks for your video but i got a question. How can i make the gradient map only effect the text layer, when i add the gradient map like you did in the video it affects the whole picture but i just want it to affect the text layer only. When i use the clipping mask for the gradient map it only affects the text layer but then i lost the ink bleeding effect. How can i fix this issue?
You can do it 2 ways: 1. Use a layer mask on the gmap in the shape of your text 2. Put a background behind your text and make it pure white or black, group the text, background and gmap together and double click on the group in the layer menu. In this menu there is a “blend if” section with 2 sliders. Go to the “this layer” slider, and slide in the black or white pointer (white pointer if you have a white bg and vice versa). Then hold alt / option and drag the pointers away from eachother to create a smooth fade. If it doesn’t work try our discord for troubleshooting!

Im stuggeling with a problem, how to delete a background from this just to keep transparent ?
Hey, in my last Subscriber redesign (ep 3) I go over that problem!
what is the box blur doing to the image? I can hardly see a difference
The more blur the edge of the text has, the more grey values there are on the edge, instead of just a black / white hard edge. Because of this, you can give the edge multiple colours through the gradient map
How did you add the displacement map?
Filter > Distort > Displace

@@Dreadlabs Thanks for your answer!
how you create the font
hey! how do i delete the background? i’m struggling a bit with this problem
I would go with a perfect black background and then change the blend mode so that all blacks will be removed or just set the blend mode to Lighten!
Dreadlabs thank you! i will try :)
what is this font?
BTE Sporty, but sadly they discontinued distributing it
