I hope that by spring you can buy a good quality maybe aluminum boat motor and trolling motor. You deserve it.If you get one please continue fishing in all the ways you do now.It just gives you another option, the same way having a variety of lures does.
That video was awesome bass fishing has really taken over as my favourite type of fishing and I really enjoy your videos of bass fishing I’ve learned quite a bit I usually target trout!
Nice fishing at the creek! I'm more of a spinning rod n reel guy, but i do use baitcasters for bass every once and a while. The one benefit to baitcasters is that they can cast very very very far!!! much farther than a spinning rod n reel.
I want to hit the "Like" Button...but it is at 665...lol ...NOPE...don't wanna be the NEXT Number up! lol Wow! that Look on his Face when you gave Him the Rod! was Pure Joy! Giving is the best part about life! Once people figure this out. They too can Have great Joy!
Great 👍 video John, Ever Body meet a Man with a Big Heart 💜...I told my buddy the other night, got to go to Tennessee and fish 🐠 in some beautiful water and views..!!
Like that Let's see what's biting on my ultralight lures. Keeping the door open for sure. Glad you were able to catch a fish with the baitcaster but like you I prefer my spinning rods most of the time. Caleb deserves the rod for his guidance around the drink cooler. I'm a Ski and real sugar Sun Drop man. Ale-8 when you need crisp and refreshing to wash down the chicken fingers lol. Keep sharing the outdoors with the kids, neither will regret that time brother.
I can imagine, that the combination of these 2 jobs, could work out fine for you. Fishing and basketball (and besides working for the boss! ;o) ) Enjoy!!!
Baitcasters definitely have their uses, flipping and punching come to mind. They are great for heavy Texas rigged lures and heavy jigs. That's great that you gave that combo to the kid. You are doing a great job mentoring the kids.
I have always liked that you like I don't mess with the baitcaster. I feel luke it have to pay too much attention to it. I like to kinda zone outvand just fished by instinct. Every time I would get in the zone with the baitcaster in my hand I would end up with a birdsnest. To each his own it see the advantages but its just not relaxing in the same way for me. Andthe sound if drag pulling in a spinning reel is luke nothing else.
I can't set the hook on bottom baits with a baitcaster to save my life. I've finally given up and ordered a med heavy spinning setup for my 1/2 oz jigs. I either pop the line on the hookset or lose my grip on my reel and it's just hardly ever gone well. No more losing big bass for me.
I've tried right and left handed. I think I'm just set in my ways. My hookset is hard wired in my brain. Lol. That was great you gave it to that kid. Classic John move. 👍👍
"It's an art. You've got to teach people how to catch small fish." Truth. You're an awesome teacher, John. Really helping me get some game. Keep up the great work!
Hell has frozen over! John used a baitcaster. Then hell thawed out very quickly when you gave it away haha. And reeling on the right side looked it was a little different for you.
i am just the opposite, I use my baitcasters for everything....lol I just like how they feel in my hands but I do have a few spinning reels, but it was cool to see you hook the young guy up with a nice baitcaster, really great move like so many have said it will be a trip he will never forget, I know, because when you give him the rod, I looked up on the wall at my first bait caster that a family friend gave me a number of years ago. and it hangs on my wall as a tribute to him and the life lessons I learned from him after my dad passed away. so yeah... good job. may God bless you richly.
Casting rods are super useful in some scenarios...for what you do spinning normally makes sense, but crank baits, spinner baits, jigs, top water etc are for that casting rod...God bless
Yeah, the baitcasters are good for the heavy lures like chatterbait, swim jigs, whopper ploppers, big spinners, etc. I mean they'll work on a spinning reel too, but it feels awkward and like you got less control on it. I only use my baitcaster for lures for bass and bowfin. For small fish, light lures or live bait I use a spinning reel
I have always thought that baitcaster reels are assbackwards with the crank on the right side . That is backwards for most all people . I don't understand why reel manufacturers don't put the cranks on the left side like spinning reels . It seems dumb to me to cast with your right hand and then have to switch hands in order to crank the reel ..
Most right handed people learn to use right handed baitcasters because they are more condusive to the way right handed people hold rods and work lures, using a right hand reel as a right handed person will improve your experience and lure control over using a left hand baitcaster in the same position as a spinning rod, sad to see you are no longer working with Picsifun but good luck.
I'm never been a fan of baitcasters either. I rather use a spinning reel myself. They are handy in at all times. Thank you for sharing this video with us today sir. And God bless you sir. 🙏❤🙏❤🙏😊😊😊
Hey man, you fished a creek in my town in Arkansas. I saw that and it got me watching your videos and wanting to make my own. if your ever though here again you should hit me up.
I've always used a right hand retrieve on my two bait caster. It's natural for me. I noticed you caught a lot of small bass on yellow. If you can find that lure in chartreus (yellow-green), you will catch larger bass.
Great gesture, John, giving the bait cast rod to your fishing buddy. You definitely made his day and you own one less headache and I'll bet you feel pretty good about your decision too. God Bless!
Wow, this is history in the making. I like when you break out the casting gear. I know it isn't your thing so when you do it it's appreciated. Did you find the right or left handed reel to be more comfortable? I can fish right handed casting reels but don't like it. I think it's from all the years of retrieving with my left hand on spinning gear. You're an absolute legend giving that yound man that setup. Seems like my prediction of you getting the next generation into fishing was spot on. Keep up the awesome work.
What part of Tennessee you in? Like to fish with you some time soon. I have an oldtown bigwater pdl 132 and a bass boat. I fish mostly the TN River but iv been wanting to fish more skinny water and have trouble getting friends to go. Let me know if you would be interested love your channel by the way
Are there times you aren't successful? Because half of the time on new waters I catch barely anything. It's almost like a hit or miss. Especially in rivers
They have really drawn that water down! Good time to scout for spring and summer rock piles and brush! Don’t know if Tennessee let’s you set your own brush piles!
Not much of a fan of the bait caster either, although growing up it was all I used. Wasn't the greatest caster either, new reels much more forgiving. Still prefer the the spinning easier to cast for me, it's all about personal preference I guess. Nice video great gesture at the end scripture to match.
Good cool air video ! Interesting to see you use a baitcaster. I've never tried one before. Always loved spinning reels or spincast when I was young. Thank you for taking Jalen fishing with you ! A little time spent with youth is so beneficial for them. Some trips they will remember for a lifetime. You are a great encourger for them. If possible, a word about JESUS will plant a seed. Keep up the GOOD NEWS work. In CHRIST, Randy B.
There's a happy young man! Kodak moment he won't forget! Nice!
We need more people like John in this world.
I hope that by spring you can buy a good quality maybe aluminum boat motor and trolling motor. You deserve it.If you get one please continue fishing in all the ways you do now.It just gives you another option, the same way having a variety of lures does.
Nice largemouth bass on the crankbait man!! Sweet!!!!!!!
You sure made his day, God bless all
Loved the ending. Nice job.
You're a good man, Mr. Dalton.
Awesome thing to gift the baitcaster!!
Gotta love them old Mt. DEWS
Fitting scripture for your actions. Good job John!
That video was awesome bass fishing has really taken over as my favourite type of fishing and I really enjoy your videos of bass fishing I’ve learned quite a bit I usually target trout!
How can you dislike this video? Awesome content, that kid was stoked.
Awesome ending John. Nice giving the rod away. 👍👍
Nice crappie Jon!!!
Glad to see you use the Baitcaster reel. Great video.
Awesome!
Great episode. Giving that rod setup to the young man was a great thing to do.
All the comments said everything…. Keep it up…..Thanks…
Hey I know that kid
The look on his face was priceless!! You're a good man! Thank you for being a good example for the next generation! Need more people like you!
Awesome awesome!
Nice jester to give that young man your bait casting combo !
Nice to see you using the baitcaster. I do a lot of river fishing and usually have a baitcaster on a medium rod with me.
That chicken 🐔 😋 looked tasty with an ice cold Mt. Dew 🧊
Nice fishing at the creek! I'm more of a spinning rod n reel guy, but i do use baitcasters for bass every once and a while. The one benefit to baitcasters is that they can cast very very very far!!! much farther than a spinning rod n reel.

that was a beautiful crappie! :)
Alrighty now...let's get back to the root of the channel..Creek Fishing Adventures! Dry Creek,in Dekalb County Tennessee, is pretty awesome!!
That was an awesome gift that you gave that young man! What a great example that you have given him John! God Bless you my friend!
Great 👍 video John, Ever Body meet a Man with a Big Heart 💜...I told my buddy the other night, got to go to Tennessee and fish 🐠 in some beautiful water and views..!!
Loved the video!😊
Got me this time but I'll see the next video first 🤣

The end was awesome. Thats what fishing is about. Thanks for the great example
I favor spinning reels. My one baitcaster is left-hand retrieve to mimic my spinning reels. Then I’m not switching hands constantly.
I can imagine, that the combination of these 2 jobs, could work out fine for you. Fishing and basketball (and besides working for the boss! ;o) ) Enjoy!!!
Cool video 😎
Bait casters have their uses but so do spinning I like my spinning gear alot
Nice fishing man very good fish 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
Its so hard to crank in an area that has bank access. So much line and so many lures in the water it can be VERY frustrating. You still kill it.
Baitcasters definitely have their uses, flipping and punching come to mind. They are great for heavy Texas rigged lures and heavy jigs. That's great that you gave that combo to the kid. You are doing a great job mentoring the kids.
Haha you sounded like me yesterday, I went and tried a new river and lost 3 jigheads before I called it a night.
You would have a blast in Texas man! Creeks are everywhere! I have a few in my creek fishing Adventures playlist brother! Check it out!
Keren 👍👍👍👍👍
I'm from Indonesia.
Hallo bro....so very nice catch....

Made his day. That’s good stuff right there!
Nice. Jaylen is really growing. Nice ending to a calm video. Thanks!
Great job giving to boy the bait caster!
"It's an art. You've got to teach people how to catch small fish." Truth. You're an awesome teacher, John. Really helping me get some game. Keep up the great work!
You look better with the beard
How's basketball 🏀 going 🤔 with the team!?
Nice I've got to get up there and catch some of them crappie. Cool the way you gave little man that bait caster
Love your vids man
Hell has frozen over! John used a baitcaster. Then hell thawed out very quickly when you gave it away haha.

Yea thats mainly what I got a baitcaster for. I still favor a spinning reel especially when creek fishing!
Nice multi species video! Fun to watch, have you tried crappie magnets or panfish magnets? They catch a lit but not as much as the OG trout magnet
Yes I have they work well
I have always thought that baitcaster reels are assbackwards with the crank on the right side . That is backwards for most all people . I don't understand why reel manufacturers don't put the cranks on the left side like spinning reels . Yesss i was wondering why you don’t use bait casters
That was awesome man, I don't like baitcaster either

LOL, dude, so you ever eat real food? Heeheeheehee
I'm never been a fan of baitcasters either. I rather use a spinning reel myself. They are handy in at all times. Thank you for sharing this video with us today sir. And God bless you sir. 🙏❤🙏❤🙏😊😊😊

I like the spinning rod for general lure fishing. Nice touch to give the bait caster away. Thanks John for another great video.
Nice to give your right handed first baseman’s glove to the young man. I bet he keeps it for many, many years.
These are the best type fishing days no agenda, just what ever strikes. And the fact that their were fish even better. Nice video.
Is that a bait caster I see?? 😂 Nice to see you give it to the kid too!
Hey is that the Daiwa Revros 2500 LT? I use that reel too and was wondering what pound braid do you use? Thank you
yeah it was, i just had 4 lb line on it
very nice vid,my friend
If I’m not mistaken That’s in Charleston
yes
When you learn to fish on spinning gear, conventional and bait casters always feel weird in your hands
Great gesture, John, giving the bait cast rod to your fishing buddy.
You definitely made his day and you own one less headache and I'll bet
you feel pretty good about your decision too. God Bless!
when i see a baitcaster on this thumbnail 😮 so glad to see you using one. always wanted to see more videos of you with one

i cant decide which one is more comfortable
You appear to be having a blue day on the first 4 fish.
How come your not working with piscifin anymore?
just something i decided to not do, no big reason
I got a notification and rushed over to say first but it was posted over an hour ago. Haha these notifications are horrible.
haha, thanks
You should have a catch Cook and eat video 📸 unless you don't like to eat the fish you catch...
i dont like cleaning them
@@CreekFishingAdventures that's fine, just wanted to know. Still enjoy your show...
1/48th ounce too small for me. I use 1/32nd for trout, bluegill, etc.
Ready for this one for sure! Just got my video up at 7 est time. Ready to see what you get in this one for sure!
Hi
What part of Tennessee you in? Like to fish with you some time soon. I have an oldtown bigwater pdl 132 and a bass boat. I fish mostly the TN River but iv been wanting to fish more skinny water and have trouble getting friends to go. Let me know if you would be interested love your channel by the way

Who’s that little kid that took over johns channel?
I need to move south haha it's already down in the mid 30s and low 20s at night. Great video! That's unfortunate about pisifun

I was like who the guy with the bald face?
Are there times you aren't successful? Because half of the time on new waters I catch barely anything. It's almost like a hit or miss. Especially in rivers
