- And the tiny bathroom makeover continues. We have refinished cabinets, removed a medicine cabinet, moved an electrical outlet, wallpapered and painted and in today's DIY Wednesday Part 4 video we will be building a custom built-in, floor to ceiling, shelving unit and we are going to do it with one sheet of plywood and an old dresser I found in a dumpster. Yep...that's right...and my hope is that we can do all of that for about 100 bucks! Can we do it? Yes we can! (or at least I hope we can).

the container says it's wood filler, SO it's freaking woodfiller
@geoffreyopulski138 - You are correct...the container does say wood filler...good eye. However, Unlike "normal" wood filler that is mainly used for filling small nail holes, gouges, cracks, scratches and imperfections. The wood filler I chose to use for this project is not any ol' freaking wood filler...it is a high performance, solvent based wood filler that hardens to give a surface that looks and acts like real wood. It is 3 times stronger than the wood filler you might be familiar with and is ideal for filling large deep holes. There are differences between wood filler products and I chose the correct wood filler product for my job.
OMG the math is mathing and the repurposing stars are aligning!!!!!!!!!! I hope you're not too frustrated by this project...its gonna take what it takes...why??? because you're a f&cking professional woman dammit...you got this Sherri💜💜💜💜👍👍👍👍

@melaniefisher8823 - My dear Melanie...I too aspire to understand how my brain works 😁 Sometimes things just pop into it and then I think...Yeah, I can do that...easy. Maybe it's just delusion :) I wish it was already next week too...that way I would be done with this bathroom already. For such a tiny space it is taking me the longest to redo and I am now officially over it. But I just keep thinking...one final push and I'll be done. That thought is the only thing keeping me together right now :) I'll try and get Davis over for the final reveal...it will all hinge on when I actually get it done :)

Way to go. I love free and I shop yard sales as well. Your custom unit is shaping up nicely!! Watch out ... allow enough spacing for drawers to open when trimming out sides and baseboard at bottom. Drawer handles... bigger drawers, would knobs like your vanity work or not? Just thinking out load....:)😊
@chiagirlmyfatcat896 - Oh...for sure. I already have a plan for the trim to allow for the drawers and I am going to trim a little off of each side of the door so that everything opens and closes smoothly. Also...I originally wanted to use the flower knobs so that everything matched...but the cheapskate in me doesn't want to spend anymore money on this makeover...however, after reading through these comments, you are not the only one who thinks I should use the flower knobs...so I may just need to suck it up and go buy more :)

You are my hero!! I love garbage picking. I found a corner wood banquette. Been looking for a church pew with no luck and then I found this! Bingo. Went home got my hubs and his truck. Went back and tore it apart. Haven’t done it yet but I think it will be perfect !!

Me too! My husband is a red seal finishing carpenter, so everything is done super precise, with new wood. I like to see something refurbished,he just doesn't see the potential, and is not frugal like I am ... and our friend Sheri!!
@rhondapelletier2141 - Thinking outside of the box is completely necessary when you don't have the extra funds to do what you want to do. Plus...I just love given things a new lease on life :)

REMEMBER, DOLLAR TREE HAS HARDWARE KNOBS THAT LOWES AND HOME DEPOT SALES, BUT FOR 1.25... AND THE PAINT, ITS THE BEST, NO SANDING, PRIMING, OR TARPS....😂😂😂😂😂

@SUGARBUGAR - I'm really hoping to not have to buy another thing for this make over. But if I can't repurpose the knobs I already have I will for sure check out the Dollar Tree. :)
@lindao5642 - I know! I kinda wanted to add the flower knobs on the entire piece...but I need 7 more and I was hoping to not spend any more money on this project. But you might be right...I think I need at least 1 flower knob :)
