      @jillpotts7472 - Awwww...thank you. Here's something kind of funny...the JoyMoop company actually sent me a thank you email after the video came out. they said that they loved the video and were very impressed with how thoroughly I tested their mop. I all of the product reviews I have ever done on the channel, no company has ever taken the time to write me a thank you note. Now...if we could only get these company's to actually sponsor a video :)

I'm hoping once I get everything cleaned up (this weekend, fingers crossed), I'll pull the mop back out and give everything a good cleaning. then...in my thought is...mop day is every Sunday. I also have a Bissell steam mop and it is my absolute favorite. Nothing cleans as well, and the fact that the unit pops off for hand held jobs is incredible. I use it to steam clean sliding glass windows and they come out crystal clear ! Unfortunately for my love affair with my steam mop, I now live in a century home with gorgeous original hardwoods in most places, and LVP in a few updated rooms. The heat from a steam mop is bad for both of these types of floors, and “normal” mopping (with a bucket of water and a string mop) isn’t good, either. The ideal tool for these floors are these rectangle shaped flat microfiber mops, and they should be used with a spray product, to keep moisture to a minimum. I am eyeing this JoyMoop bucket as the perfect way to rinse the flat mops between sprays of floor cleaning product, since I’m realizing that without a few rinses, I’m just spreading dirt around my floors, making them look dull ☹️. It’s enough to make me want to go back to my O’Cedar and just use a big towel to hand dry sections after they’re mopped! Oy, talk about high maintenance.
      On the subject of O’Cedar, I own two of their mops. One is the spin type that’s reviewed here. I know everyone loves this mop, but I find it to be way too small , and I keep hearing the plastic hit the floors when I move it back and forth, which drives me nuts.
      The other O’Cedar mop is blue with long pieces (like a yacht / string mop, but thicker). Instead of spinning dry, it has a wringer that works by squeezing it when you push it down. It’s effective in getting most of the moisture out. I much prefer this version, as the mop covers more area than the white fluffy spin version.
      I am considering using my O’Cedar for occasional “deep cleans”, as I do not think the flat mops are effective at cleaning up occasional messes of dropped food / tracked in dirt.
      Oh, to use my Bissell steam mop on my delicate, high maintenance floors 😂

    Hi from Australia. I have just purchased one of these mops and have watched at least 8 videos showing me how to use it. I have to say that you are the only one who has questioned the continual use of the same dirty water? I will see how it goes, but I really think I will be changing the water. I prefer that to keep ringing out the dirty cleaning pads. You are absolutely hilarious by the way.
    The mop and bucket 🪣 was really cheap here in Australia 🇦🇺. Only A$26. I have the spiny one also but have to keep changing the dirty cloth.

    ppl! pls wash cleaning pads and cleaning cloths separately in their own cycle with a little bleach or oxyclean to disinfect them in a hot express cycle. they come out ready for air drying really nice. you can even run a clean washer cycle before your next load of regular laundry if you need to.
    maybe if you could get a bundle pack of cleaning pads you wouldn't have to re-dip the dirty ones.

    • @ThisisRealLifeWithSheri
      @ThisisRealLifeWithSheri  11 місяців тому +2

      @lindao5642 - OK...don't think I'm gross, but...when I am done mopping I just rinse the pads under hot water to get most of the grime off and then I pop it right in the washing machine with my towels and jeans. Since I only have 2 pads it doesn't make much sense for me to run an entire cycle for just too little pads. And...if I mop my floors more regularly, I'm sure my water won't be as disgusting as it was in this video :)

  • @nancyrukavena6992

    I noticed after you used the mop awhile, there wasn't enough water left in the bucket to completely submerge the mop head. When you're sitting on the stairs and pulled the mop up, there was about two inches of dirty mop on the top edge. I wish O'Cedar's bucket had wheels so I could just push it around with the mop handle janitor style, rather than having to bend and pick it up and carry it all the time.

    • @ThisisRealLifeWithSheri
      @ThisisRealLifeWithSheri  11 місяців тому
