Don't know if that driver has had a bad history with the officials or something, but those officials seemed way too pissed off for what he was asking for.
Yeah that seemed like a strange deal. Ocean does run a tight ship moving their program right along to get four sometimes five divisions done by a 10p.m curfew.
@@mikedehooghblackflagracephotos Maybe these idiots need to stop and think of the damage they can cause to someone else's car by rushing. Never push a Sprint Car with a flat rear. The damage it can do to numerous parts is undeniable. Looks like they also enjoy using expensive steering wheels as frisbees.
These so called "officials" are dumber than a Box of Rocks!!! You never push a Sprint when it has a flat! Things like radius rods, shocks, hubs, etc... Can be damaged or broken very easily.
@@ronwilken5219 Dude in the jeep was pushing his car and the driver did not want it pushed and damaging his car. The guy with the cigarette threw his steering wheel in the dirt. Those are bone headed track officials.
When the driver put his hand up the guy in the jeep immediately stopped, gave the signal for a tow truck and drove off. He returned when race control said to push him off. The guy in the jeep was just following instructions. So was the official for that matter... but he shouldn't have tossed the steering wheel tho. If fault lies anywhere it would be with the race director not willing to loose a couple of minutes in the interest of wanting to push the program along. Ocean has a 10 p.m curfew. Having said all that they should've just honored the drivers wish to be towed when he said so.
Local officials get no training on how to do the job. Drivers want fairness and when they see favoritism they lash out. A tight ship with a strong leader is needed. Back east they do a better job. They don't tolerate rough driving. They want the car count and when someone crashes another it doesn't help anyone. Keep control of your car. If you can't you will be sent home.
No. He was struggling a bit with his waist harness belt it seems. Kind of a pain when you have gloves on and your helmet only lets you tilt your head down so far. No pitty party. Lol.
Should have drug his car.to the middle and left it there and refused to bring him to the pits. You dont treat track worker like that its not their fault you got wrecked.
I quit going to Ocean Speedway a long time ago, too much traffic for a Friday afternoon to try and get to the track, it's a nightmare any which way you go, and it's only gotten worse.
That part sucks, yes. Same with Petaluma. But, both tracks have another thing in common. Once you get there none of that matters as the racing, atmosphere and people are top notch... and the ride home is a breeze.
San Jose had the best track, 54 years of racing in San Jose, but immigrants from S.E Asia and the democrats in the city council took care of that. Now they have rap concerts and gang fights there.@@mikedehooghblackflagracephotos
And Stockton's dirt track sucks. There's nothing like watching a race from a 1/4 mile away. Stockton 99 speedway rocks though. Great Saturday night racing. @@mikedehooghblackflagracephotos
@@frostyb.snowman1482 i really like the size of the grandstands at stockton, and the fact that it's in the central valley, where i'm from. they're shrinking the track down this year, hopefully they can figure out how to make it smoother.
