Joseph did a great job getting back to 5 and hanging on! One of these times when a driver chops his nose off! Rather than let off! Spin em'! Let them know you and going to be letting off anymore!
Better to keep your cool , so many chop the nose off , you would eventually have to spin them all .

guys I think y'all are doing quite well this year and I'm very pleased with the results and you all have out here running with the best in the business and traveling the way you all have been traveling over the past couple of seasons but just give it time and things will get better for y'all and eventually, y'all will be one of the top contending teams for everybody else to race against
We got the motor! Time to get the chassis figured. The big boys have something that rotate there cars where as Joseph is always in a slide I've noticed all year it just doesn't bite and drive up off the corner

Great job making the show. Joseph driving hard as usual. Those top 10 cars have the equipment and the experience. They are hard to beat.
Ive watched chub and boom, and multiple late model teams have been using a router to drill 1/4 inch holes in the tires to release the better and to not have the tire chunk as bad, it’s a thought for the remainder of these nights in charlotte
I agree with Tony if you can move to weight left rear I'd definitely do it, might help save a tire
Good job making the show. I have something for you all to think about. When track goes black, have you all thought about adding a 10 lb. Weight on the left rear. It's been my experience if you hang it below the center line of the rear end and close to the frame rail, it helps the car rotate and get off the corner. Great job to Joseph and your entire team. Looking forward to seeing more.

@@Etan1122 Im pretty sure now days tey dont scale cars thats why they have the "spring smasher" thats how they set the loads to the 4 corners of the car. But it would probably not hurt to put it on there once and a while.
Glad y’all made the show. I’m sure y’all will, or did, walk around and check some of the other guys tires out and see if they’re having the same trouble. Sounds like it’s slick and abrasive at the same time. Couldn’t help ya out even if I knew what to tell ya. Maybe air pressure or a different grooving on the tires? IDK, just a guess. Lol. There’s a roll pen or a check ball or some thing I remember being in those original first GEN Bert transmissions that was a real SOB to put in and if it was left out you can get it locked into two gears at once and it’s nearly impossible to get out

Boys think about putting a new set of springs on the rear, right front, and 5th coil. They are only good for so many cycles. We did that on our car when it started not having drive off the corner. It's like a new car when you do it. I know all your cars have Bert but you may think about going with Brinn transmissions. We had the same problems as you have with the Bert, so we put Brinn on all 6 of our cars and never had a transmission problem again.

I think they should buy ab better motor find a setup man and let Jesse drive the super as well, no back up for Joseph, let them compete.

Yea If you ran 2 laps and pulling in every time you'd have plenty of fuel and tires like new. Go figure that.....

It look like brake spark but it seem like transmission gear sparks out

I loved watching ya'll the 1st night on xr ya'll are the only reason I pay to watch so I diffenly pull for ya'll!! Lol one thing I noticed and I've seen it at Charlotte before Joseph needs to stay off the top I know he's up there looking for moisture but Charlotte is different if you run the top you will go backwards 😉
I also noticed ya'll moved up a few spots in the points after last night from 15th to 12th so congrats to the HTF crew

Not a real bad deal for everything that you went thru....them restricted tire rule are tuff but everyone is on it. Joseph drove a really smooth line but throttled only when completely straight...wheel man gettin the job done. Congrats on gettin in the show...👍

if the weather holds off for saturday the track is gonna be totaly different. friday may be a wash out but it will put alot of moisture in the track for saturday.

Very smart move saving tires they gonna have to give on that specially there that track hard on tires
Finding that fine balance of forward bite and tire wear. The guys that race 5-6 nights a week with a big tire budget have it figured out. You guys will get there. Just take time and money and R&D with your chassis. Too bad you can’t test more during the week between races.
I'm curious as to your rear stagger vs front stagger?
From what I saw I would have put in taller gear, added weight on lft rear axle tube if legal and got rid of some stagger in the rear. If you cant add weight to axle tube buy heavy bird cage.
We figure out how to increase mechanical traction instead of taking power away 90% of the time.
Tire Temps across rear?
From the looks of rt rear you need a setup adjustment to get more heat in left rear for more drive.

Lets hear from all the "pros" about restricting carb. Right choice given Joseph was burning right rear tire.
Restricting the motor is essential in those track conditions at Charlotte for 80% of drivers the other 20% of top drivers like Madden can get it done with out a restrictor... At this point HTF is behind on getting there car setups right and Joseph is not in that top 20% of drivers right now..So yes Joseph needed that motor choked down.

Are y’all coming back to all-tech raceway in December with the XR Super Series? Great vid as always though!!!!
Stay on the throttle a fraction of a second longer and get on the throttle a fraction of a second quicker and these fractions add up to a full second. At 85 mph, that's 124 feet per second and will WIN most of your races.
You have no clue what your talking about especially on this track when it's in this condition I know what kind of grip this place is capable of It's actually opposite you need to roll of the throttle and rotate the center and control the wheel spin up of the corner And I'm at the track all week..So no your suggestion picking up and laying down for extra fractions isn't the answer you give the the car exactly what it handle and ride that razors edge. So again you have no clue.
Rolling off the throttle too early let's your opponent drive past you. I see it time after time. These are great guys but apparently dislike constructive criticism.

When you run a restrictor do you have to take fuel out to. Or does it just run slightly fat. Or being a carb does the less air pull the fuel out for you.

with the new power from the engin can the transmission be enhanced to handle extra power..maybe a thicker gear . i say add weight to the car it will help for traction.. i be watching..

They race again tonight
I'm wondering if you had just a percent or 1.5% more rear that your tires won't spin as bad or at all giving you more forward grip. Helps coming off the corner which gives more speed and momentum down the straightaways and into the corner. Just a suggestion. Probably will make you too tight but more left side weight will help it turn. Not bad though guys. Keep digging!
They don't check percentage now a days much
@@jason5044 yeah I know. I used to race Late Models about 6 years ago and my brother still owns one. They have the spring/shock machine and don't do much scaling anymore like when I was racing but it just looks like JJ just can't get off the corner as fast as the fast guys and that's where the car needs to be tweaked to get it faster.

Good job making the show! I have been thinking about your starter issue, and I think you may need a voltage regulator between the starter and battery. 16V battery and a 12V starter do not usually go well. I could be wrong, do not know your setup, and certainly am no expert. I have seen electronics burn out from too much voltage however. It might be beneficial to talk to a knowledgeable person at an auto electric ( not electronics! ) store, or talk to Capital and see what they say.

Joseph is an awesome driver but he is going to have to put the bumper to one of these guys that cuts his nose off to show them he’s here to race.

the XR series is the best series in dirt track racing now and Illinois speed week has had a really good turnout of cars this week also and was quite a few big name drivers but it's still not anything like the XR Series in my opinion anyway LOL

Well JoeJoe does wide open throttle in hot laps. But when the race starts he is giving up 3 car lengths on each end. WATCH THE VIDEOS and LISTEN to the RPMs. To hunt the front he gonna have to keep it wide open and DRIVE the car thru the traffic. Not jus ride around . Maybe need a YOUNGER driver. When a man becomes a father he becomes more careful and serious as the provider. THATS ALL GOOD. But a 17 yr ole kid is fearless.
