- Rob Chapman - Brothers (Official Music Video)
Filmed live at rupture.mt
I wrote the song Brothers about 20 years ago, but never really felt it was completed - so this shoot was exactly what I needed to kick myself into gear and finish it off. Huge thanks to the guys at Rupture Studios in Malta for this incredible video shoot.
All of the guitars I am playing are from Chapman’s new range including the Pegasus (Purple S Type), SAR63 (White Semi Hollow), Ghost Fret (Blue Ex) and Sundown (Black S Type)

Hey guys, just to let you know “Brothers - Live at Rupture” is now available to stream or download on all digital platforms.
Honestly Chappers, the more I listen to this the more I love it. I love how it is conservative from a technical perspective - not because you're not a fantastic technical artist, but because this track track is all about allowing for the incredible melody to shine through. You're an unbelievable guitarist and I've always looked up to you - been watching for years! Loving my ML3 Pro by the way, what an instrument! Just uploaded an original piece using it 😀 Much love Rob
By the way, I should say a huge, thank you to my bro Luke Greck for the mixing and mastering of this track, he did an incredible job absolutely blew me away!
Thank you for entrusting me with enhancing the sonic goodness of your musical brainchild 🙏The composition is super on this one!
I could really picture Slash playing this, same vibe in my eyes
I want to say a huge thank you to the awesome crew at Rupture Studios Malta for this amazing experience!
I wrote Brothers about 20 years ago, but never felt it was finished, this video shoot gave me the kick I needed to complete it... I really wanted something simple and melodic... a kind of anthem to the brotherhood (Or sisterhood) of guitarists/musicians, kind of my extended family.
All the lead guitar you hear was recorded live, at the studio - your watching the actual live takes.
Thanks for your amazing support,
Rob
Very and l do mean Very nice. Glad you finished it. Did you ever put lyrics to it?
@@Bob-Whiting Yes, the melody is based upon a lyric, most of my instrumental songs are based upon a lyric.
@@RobChappers Would love to hear that version some day, if you have time to work it up. Peace!
Dude that's awesome! Great tune! I was watching as you switched guitars and could hear the tones change. Then I read this. Glad it wasn't just in my head. Amazing work Rob!
This has a very Satch vibe to it. Probably the most pleasing thing to listen to I've heard from you yet, Rob. Like you're going where the music wants to go instead of where you want to go. You're surrendering to the flow and I could listen to an hour of that.
Agreed on the Satch vibe, it's excellent.
Well, that really means a lot to me, Man, thank you so much for listening! ❤
Classic rock ballad pacing & phrasing. A dash of Slash.
Thanks man! ❤
Good job, Rob!
Respect
Awesome. Love hearing the old stuff reimagined.
Cool track & video Chappers! 😎🤘🏻❤️
Brilliant!
time well spent!
The greatest.
Awesome stuff!
Melodic awesomeness Rob, spot on! 😀
Very "Slash" Sir - you gave it room to breathe - that's why it rocks. Good song!
That feel 😮😱🔥❤️ amazing 👌👌👌
Beautiful melodies!🖤
Praise the cameraman who went to the outer Solar system to film this playthrough. Uranus looked so beautiful that night.
My anus looked beautiful???
💀
I can’t tell you how much fun it was asking for planets, and watching everything animate behind me, we even considered putting a UFO there at the point! It’s the same LED technology that they used in the Mandalorian
Is that 'planet joke' somehow connected to Ron Weasley's joke? :D
Looking up at Uranus?
Very happy sounding. Kinda Satriani-ish.
Man that first bend got me hooked and never let me go. EXACTLY the type of melodic stuff I'm into, thank you Rob!
Nice one chappers
Listening for a third time. Instrumental guitar rarely appeals to me but this is melodic and emotional. Thanks brother! ❤
Thank you so much dude, hopefully we get to catch up again this year ❤
Get it! 🤘🏻
Love you dude ❤
Great scenario, inspiring music, nice video…
Always great playing
Thanks man ❤

Hey Rob, this is awesome...and those guitars are sweet!
Love it! Great track, great guitars,
Yep, an album like this please :)
Fantastic Brother. I keep coming back to listen. Appreciate you finished the tune. Nice.
Thanks for listening bro, appreciate the repeat Business :-)
Awesome man. It's like reminding us that watch all of this YT stuff for a decade, that you're a master at the guitar primary, then everything else.
That means a lot man really appreciate it
November rain vibes ..the best!! Love it
Great video - cool track & lovely guitars!! Nice one Rob!
Thanks bro, love you man :-)
Tasty Jam
Great song! More please
Great phrasing and sweet tones 👍
That's my man!! Love Chapman guitars and your playing is up there with the best artists
This is beautiful - great music, great advertising! Rob, you’re killing it! 🤘🏻🎸🔊🎶❤️🔥
Thanks so much ❤
Great playthrough. I know what my weekend homework will be then. Didn't know you where a magician also, those guitars changed seamlessly.
Thanks bro ha ha, all part of the video magic team here at Rupture in Malta
Beautiful beyond words !! This should be in a soundtrack of a major blockbuster movie.
I like this song. ❤
Love it Rob, maybe the best I’ve heard from you and I love Dorje Very bluesy
Thank you so much dude I really appreciate that :-)
Hey man.. super impressive Rob. That's by far the most beautiful well written piece I've ever heard from you. You have always sounded fantastic. This is a level above. Absolutely amazing tone and your solo served the music beautifully. World class work brother. Congratulations 🤘🎸❤
Thanks so much Eric, very much appreciated
@@RobChappers you're welcome brother. Blew me away this morning with that. Great job.
Yeaahh... after you master all the scales and smooth out the arpeggios - THAT's what you do with a guitar. Nice. 🤘
That means a lot bro ❤
Mr Chapman.. You have now gotten to the place where when i hear you play without seeing you that I know it is you playing.. Congratulations!!!! When you Hear Slash, you know its Slash, When you hear Hetfield you know it is Hetfield ect ect... You have just joined that club... Sounded Awesome
I really appreciate that, thank you for listening and have a great day :-)
Stellar Playing my friend! 😉
Cannot wait for the new shape to come out and it’s always a joy to watch Rob playing!
We all know youre up there with the best, and can go 100 miles an hour if you want. But this was mega tasteful and well done.
Ahh thanks man ❤
That tone just puts a smile on my face great😊😊😊😊
Thanks man, I’m using Tonocracy
Very tastefully played and melodic loved it!!!!
Just glad I got to enjoy this song before we're all swallowed up by Saturn.
Great one, Rob! All you little shredheads take note. You can say a lot more with fewer notes. EVERYTHING does not need every note on the fretboard!
Loving this one, Rob. Lots of soul to be heard here. Great stuff!
Nice. But let's be honest. It's more a commercial for chapman guitars than a music vid. But nice. Keep on going. Love all your content. And beautiful guitars for sure! All the best from Vienna
Great melody, tasteful phrasing, good tones. I dig it!
Thank you kindly sir :-)
Sounds great nice melody and nice playing you should be proud of this one
Ah thanks dude much appreciated
I dig Rob C. He takes the time to engage with those who engage with him. A very high quality of integrity in my eyes. Cool track master Rob. Digging the vibe my man.
Thank you Dude, yeah man I like positive people :-)
as do i young sir. Thank you. @@RobChappers
I love this....one of my favorite things you've done!
Yay, thank you bro! 🤘🏽
Good job Rob! Enjoyed that friend! Loved how you threw the pick away and it just exploded somewhere on set. Boom!😂
Explosion.
I have always enjoyed your unique bends and vibrato. Well done sir.
Nice! Chapman sounding great! Love all those guitars but im a sucker for The Ghost Fret!
Wicked Awesome Broh! ❤ The Ghost fret & Pagasus
That's lovely Rob. I had a lesson with Johnny Hiland the other day who had a fond smile when I mentioned that you were my 1st guitar teacher. Keep rockin \m/
Dude, great to see you here man, absolutely love Johnny what an incredible musician and guy
Nice job Rob! The song has an uplifting feel to it. Nice to see the new guitars in action.
This gives me some strong Slash vibes. Really reminds me of Sweet Child O' Mine for some reason.
Half step intervals 😊
I just discovered the SAR63 and fell in love with the design straight away. I didn’t know you own this brand. It’s funny because I used to watch your videos when you were still at Andertons 😅
That was completely awesome ❤
Ahh thanks dude❤
love this Rob! Love the pretty guitars too!
Love it! Great song and playing.... :-)
Good playin'
very nice! \m/ I love the guitar tone.
Love it. I love legato passages like that.😊
Love it!! ❤
I love your playing Rob. The song has a pretty awesome vibe!
Also I adore Chapman Guitars like hell. Already got three at home 😂
Thank you dude much appreciated :-)
@@RobChappers Is there a chance you ll produce the white one from the video but with single coils 🥹
Cool
So good I’m listening again. Really good stuff Rob. Perhaps an instrumental ep or album 💿 in the future ?
Yeah maybe! Have you listened to my Monkey Lord EP “Chromatic Aberration”?
@@RobChappers I haven’t I’m afraid Rob. Rest assured I will 👌🏻Just hunted it down on Spotify. My cooking dinner playlist just got bigger. Have a great day Rob, cheers Rik
I’ll be honest chappers, as a fan since your early days, I’m a tad sad there were no dinosaurs outside of those windows 🤣👍🏼
Ha ha I thought about a UFO… I’ll try harder next time 🤣
Nicely done sir! Like an also bald Satch. 😀🤘🤘
Very tasteful guitarmanship melodic 80s hair rock some would probably say all it needed was some vocals ❤
Beautiful
This theme song is perfect for the day, I found an original ml1 guitar in a used instrument store. Great song as always.
Glad you like it dude 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Bruh!
Awesome stuff Rob & a great promo for the Chapman brand. That was a luscious tone and I wandered how it was generated? We know you are a big Satriani fan and 'Brothers' definitely captures that kind of vibe. Keep up the good work dude.
Hi Dude, I’m actually using a plug-in called Tonocracy, it’s by Atomic Amps. But a great deal of this Tone is due to Luke Greck, who mixed and mastered it superbly.
Cheers@@RobChappers
Sir, I'd like a word about that white ML3...
As always, sublime phrasing and tones; it's complete ear candy!
That ML3 looks gorgeous!
Mr Chris Robertson is responsible for that!! It’s an absolute magic/creamy dream machine
My favourite is ML3 it's fantastic Tele style guitar with reverse headstock 😁😁
Good song. I like it. Nice melody and playing. 🎶✌
Purple guitar looks sexy.
nice
Nice! sounded amazing, loved how you incorporated your different models of guitars in the vid. what is your goto chapman? I know mine is the ghost fret and the ML1 pro, but that pegasus is really starting to make me want buy one right now lol.. keep up the great work my monkey lord 😉😊
Thanks man, at the moment mine is the Pegasus - But I still use GF all the time
great track when are you putting it on bandcamp or itunes?
This is actually just a live play through- I hadn’t planned on releasing the track but as guess I could
@@RobChappers well its a great song either way man! :-)
I really like the new offset shape they unveiled at NAMM. (I forgot the name) it was all black, and in the center of the booth. 🖤
You are talking about the Guardian, yep, we love that one - can’t wait to get my hands on one here!
Damnit that playing... you sir a talented sod to say the least.
Hope you're going to the geetar show in brum again (if your there the sunday so help me ill actually grow the balls to come up n say hi...).
Gotta be said them geetars look absolutely mint!
Nicely done sir :)
Thank you very much Dude, yes, I will absolutely be at the Birmingham Guitar show. I’ll be filming at Andertons the week before as well.
@@RobChappers and i still bottled it to come n say hey... awesome to see you play some mean geetar sir :)
Gotta ask though... how the bloody hell do you get that tone on clockwork wolf? Its got the right anount of bite whilst keeping that lovely clarity. Been buggering about with me rockerverb and still cant quite get there. (Obviously my playing falls short but that sound! God damn that sound!)
Hi rob your guitars are aviable in Canada? Love your guit
Hi dude, they will be soon - distributed by Lyon and Healy
Please do an instructional playthrough video? :)
Loving the tune 👌. Just one question. Why do all you guitar's are all sounding the same😂
Good question, actually they all sound completely different if you just listen to the stems on their own, but once we produced and mixed everything down, it just felt too much of a jump between, so we tried to smooth over the changes
This is one of the best melodic guitar oriented tracks I've heard in many, many years. I can almost hear the words in your playing. Thank you, Rob!
Those aren't real Chapman DP lefties in the background, right?
Hi dude, all my instrumentals have lyrics.., when I write a song I always get words, that’s probably why you can feel them! Sorry not real guitars in the background 🤘🏽
Every guitar sounded exactly the same as the last guitar 😂 !
Does Lee own the publishing?
Ha ha no! I haven’t released this track it’s only available here in this video
