Happy Sunday my friends! And happy Mother's Day to the moms out there!
The P2 is just a masterpiece, most beautiful SUV of all time no cap.
Beautiful and very well made!
No doubt!! A timeless masterpiece
How many other folks bought their V8 Volvo off this channel? 🙋♂️
It's an honor 😆
I finally got the xc90 and I am loving every bit of it
@@edgarima that is great news!!
Your 241k mile XC90 looks fantastic inside and out! Clearly you take very good care of it. It is so easy for people to run out and buy something new and pretty but I appreciate and respect car owners who keep their older cars running, driving and looking great! Your XC90 is stunning!
Thank you!! I try my best to keep him in good shape! Much more enjoyable to own than a new fangled computer car LOL
I have a 2007 Xc90 with the 3.2. I'm always glad to see other XC90 enthusiasts.
Nice! Thank you! Yeah likewise!
The design has aged so well!
It really has!
I'm from Germany and last year, after a long search, I found an XC90 V8 as an R-Design. It only had 52K km (about 32K miles) on the speedometer and the V8 is an absolute rarity here...
I previously drove an XC90 with the 3.2L engine for 2 years, but the 6 cylinder was too underpowered for this car.
I'm totally happy with this upgrade and appreciate exactly the same characteristics of the superior V8 cruiser that you list here in the video. Thanks for the video and best wishes across the big pond ;)
Nice that is excellent! Love the R Design. You'll absolutely enjoy it! Cheers!
Let me know when you want to sell. Driving an xc70 2005, looking for an upgrade ;)
@@bramroels5680 see you approx 2040 🤭
Duke is back!! Nice to everything upgraded.
He's back!! Thank you sir! Good to see ya!
@@BernonCars Our 2 - 09 XC90 V8 RD’s are still doing great. Just reached 88,000 and 76,000 miles on each. Plenty of life left on each.
been waiting thank you hope to see more
Thank you for tuning in!!
The car looks so beautiful and in such good shape! 👍
Thank you!! 🙏🏾
Just ticked 243k on my 05 V8... did a transmission flush and she feels great!
Sweeeet!! Good to go!
Have also always liked the Volvo XC90. Stately/understated in looks at the same time ... Same with classic Volvo's of yesteryear - a class of their own !
Truly timeless!
I I'm from Europe and I have a xc90 2.4 D5 , such a comfortable car and easy to drive . It's a great car for my family , a lot of space when traveling
I can't wait to drive a D5!
I've watched nearly all your XC90 videos and just 4 days ago I bought my own 2008 XC90 AWD V8 Sport. She (I haven't named her yet but I do know she's a she LOL) needs a little TLC but overall I'm loving it already! Your videos definitely made me keep an eye out for these vehicles and when this one popped up last week I had to go check her out. Keep up the great videos!
Nice!! That made me smile that's great to hear! I hope you enjoy her for a good long while! Thanks for watching!
I have a UK 2011 D5 exec one. Love it. Really like your content
That is excellent! Thank you for watching!
Looking good, Bern.
Thank you!
Nice review 😊i have an 09 V8 R- design fully loaded, no issues just regular maintenance. Changed all fliuds, trans, angle gear, rear diff/ including the filter in the diff. (Valve covers/ timing chain, power steering pump, common issues with the V8) no other issues in over 5 years of ownership.
Thank you! Ohh nice! Very good! You're set for a while!
Killer man ! Very nice work, take it cross country!
Thank you!! That's the plan!
Been waiting for this update….let’s get in to it.
Yesss it's been long overdue!!
3.2 AWD XC90 Fam
I've been subscribed since you had your last XC90 but for some reason I haven't seen any videos from you in my feed. I found this one because of your community post.
Damn, that's annoying! I noticed that with channels Im subscribed to too. I'm not even sure how to fix it
Great to see others on here with higher mileage . I picked up an 09 one owner with full service history . 103k miles . Going to do the transmission drain and fill method . I did the legend install with front and rear camera . Working out the RTI display but it brings it into 2004 era. Great video and content .
Yeah! Nice good find! Yeah drain and fill is the way to go. Can't wait to do the Legend!
Yeah, I practically got a filing cabinet with mine, lol. Volvo owners really like their documintation.
Great car!! 💪👍
The best!!
v8 wow that an unicorn of the volvo
Right! I love it!
The xc90 Limited editions 2011-2014 are the best car s in the world.... i still every day drive my D5 Executive 2013 with RICA modification 245 pk with massage and ventilation in the chairs
Yes they are! Very nice! Hoping to drive a D5 one day!
Bridgestone Alenzas are an excellent all purpose all season. Had those as an OEM on my Wrangler, which I originally intended to swap out for an all terrain, but the Alenzas handled ~6” of snow just fine.
I’m surprised you didn’t consider the Volvo moose badges. Check them out, EBay and other places have it. A fun spin on the Ferrari mortif.
Yeah!! Love those tires!
I've seen those badges too! They look cool!
I was able to pick up a 2014 XC90 with the 3.2 a few years back and it currently only has 70k on the odemeter. I love how well it ages but I'll be looking to do similar upgrades to the suspension /swaybars / wheels - i wouldnt say its greaton winding mtn roads so hopefully i can stiffen it up without losing much ability to go down a bumpy fire road
Oh nice! Low mileage too! They really have aged so well. Yeah I'm looking for about the same feel for the sway bars too
I have the newer 2017 D5 inscription but I love the idea of a V8 in a big SUV, D5 is really loud and slow/ Gotta love all XC90’s though
Yeah I love the V8! D5 sounds great too
I would do a few oil changes of royal purple oil to clear off some of that tarnish inside the engine.
Ah good idea, maybe some engine flush or something?
@@BernonCars there are some videos on UA-cam of regular royal purple oil cleaning and engine
About rear taillights: they are from 2012 model year. Btw, you should fit mudflaps, they are really change the look of the car.
Thanks for the note! I found a set of mud flaps but I'm still going back and forth. I like the clean look!
@@BernonCars lol! In my country they fitted by default I guess
I wanted one of these with the V8 soooooo bad…
They are a real treat to drive 😆
Girl, you match your car, congrats. ìt´s hard to achieve DAT
Yesss thank you!! 😂
Are you planning on reviewing the D5 engine on the XC90??
One day!! Hopefully I'll be able to!
I have a 2010 xc90 3.2 executive with pretty much every option and those same wheels but 19”. It just so happens to have hit 240000 km recently. Where did you get those taillights from? been thinking of upgrading.
Oh wow nice!! I got the tail lights from one of my parts buddies!
My mom hd a 07 xc90 v8 but it has wheels just like yours but they were 6 double spoke instead of 8
Ohh nice yeah I know those wheels!
Ok Bern I have questions. A lot of them. I got a silver 2009 V8 AWD with about 200k miles around the first of the year but I haven't put hardley any miles on it yet. After an accident 15 years ago I went from "man of action" to limited....just very limited. I have been fixing a few little things and getting it the way I want it in the hopes I can try to get a little further from the house VERY soon. For my own sanity. I don't want to feel like I'm on the edge of stranding myself in some state park on a day trip because I under estimated just how screwed I really am. One question, what is an easy way to deturmin if you have an exec? I am sure mine is but I thought they all had a dual exahust cut out rear valance, but mine only has one driver side cut out for an exahust tip. Any idea where a guy could get a dual cut out? I've looked everywhere, on the internet, short of buying a parts car. Or is this a "your either born with it" OR cut the other side out myself with a sawzall, situation? Even though it'll look like poop? But at least that V8 will sound like it should, in the end. Thanks!
And I have answers! LOL
The Executive will always have a "XC90" crest on the C pillar, unless if its a 2012+ then a lot of them will have it LOL. The exhaust is a single/dual tip exit on the left side! The R Design/Sport got the dual exit on the rear!
I think you just have to be lucky finding a part out or one in the junkyard sadly 😓
Did the V8 come in R-Design? What was tha latest year of the V8? I live in Sweden but seems there a newer V8 XC90 in Germany than at the homeland of the car hehe.
They only sold the V8 in the Sport trim! Then in like 2012-13 they added R Design
Did you do any modifications to your exhaust system? It sounds a bit louder than mine (and I want mine to be slightly louder 🤓)
Haha yes I did! I deleted the resonator and it made it sound just barely louder from the outside!
@@BernonCars That's what I was thinking of doing. So you say no difference inside? 🤓 That's promising!!
Another thing- did you install spacers on your wheels, or the tires would fit without rubbing on struts?
Thanks for your content. My XC90 had an epic fail with it’s sunroof drainage. I think my control module is shot as all my electronics are scattershot within the car. She rarely starts. Any inexpensive electronics available out there??
Thank you for watching!! Ohh my, yeah I've heard of that. There's a company online that repairs them but not sure how that works
@@BernonCars Do you know their name off chance?
Where did you order your fancy tail lights from?
@BioCharisma I got them through a friend who is a parts wholesaler!
@@BernonCars Mind sharing the contact? I can't find them on EBAY
The v8 is nice sure and driven and briefly owned two in the past but much more prefer the 3.2 straight six. Not crazy powerful but much better mpg and little to no maintenance vs the v8 which I know cost $$$$$$ to keep running.
Oh yeah it certainly does cost more to maintain but it's worth it to me!
Is there any aftermarket digital clusters for this XC90?
Unfortunately no!
what is volvo model of this rims ? :D i need them for my black xc90 :)
They are called Galatiea!
I wish these were Torsen
Right??
V8 Yamaha !
Yes!!
Love your reviews ur one of the only youtubers i actually enjoy watching, im first comment btw, pls pin
Really! I appreciate that! Thanks for stopping by man
@@BernonCars No problem!
I cant believe you called the GS430 junk sir lol...
Mine was rusty junk! GS 430 itself is really nice though haha
@BernonCars lol I understand you are a volvo fan it's cool no worries great video and ride keep up the good work.
Is that a standard exhaust
It wasn't haha mine had a leak at the flex pipe so it was louded LOL
Where was it manufactured?
Torslanda Sweden!
Still loving my V8 Sport!
I run the Toyo Proxy STIII wrapping my Vulcanis wheels and I love them! (I might add that they have been curb rashed by the PO)
Nice!! That's excellent!
I would like to do everything you have explained in your video. I’ve slowly been working on the front end suspension just need the arms and struts (bilstien B6). I wanted to upgrade the sway bar, but apparently the V8 Sport has a thicker one anyways, regardless the IPD one looks great as a replacement. I installed a custom made “short ram” intake with ports for all the correct vacuum lines and MAF location (I’m looking to modify a tasteful vent into my hood so it can actually be a short ram..) also have a custom 2.5 (stock size), replaced the mid resonator with a Magnaflo and deleted the rear muffle (keeping the duel XC90 tips)
@@drunkpacman yeah I'd like to try out a Sport one day! I hear it's a noticeable difference! I just put new stock sway bar links on today and it was a huuuge difference! And no clunks! And only like 20 bucks each
I think I’d like to make a video on mine, but I’m an introvert lmao
I have xc90 2.5t 2006 in UAE 🇦🇪 and planning to buy v8
Very nice I wish you luck!
I have passion red v8
Ohh very nice!!
