I wouldn't mind him dropping Scrappy if it was to build Draco 2.0.
Just like the six million dollar man
      We can rebuild him
      We have the technology
We have the capability to make the world's first bionic Draco
      Better than he was before
      Better
      Stronger
      Faster
      But cheaper

It helps to be wealthy, but I know plenty of people making low-to-median income that enjoy their hobbies just as much as Mike does. I don't make any more than $60k a year and I'm building a race car in my driveway in my spare time. It'll take me longer to do it because of monetary constraints than it would Mike if he were to build the same project, but I enjoy it none-the-less.

Same here. In fact, *I predict that one day we will see both Draco and Scrappy flying again.*
I remember watching him reconstruct Draco in so many ways, that I have no doubt Mike has the skills necessary to rebuild Draco. So the only question is will he.
I'm sure there are insurance complications to deal with since his insurance company likely "Totaled" Draco, but I'm hoping any issues can eventually be worked out.
The hangar certainly looks as if something is missing at the present time, and I think Mike can make room for a couple more airplanes and still have room to work.

I was worried Draco’s demise had somehow deflated your enthusiasm....But I watched and realized I was very wrong. I was very sad to see the end of Draco....But as I said in another comment, you loved Draco, but Draco loved you back in the way he let you down easy....Cheers Mike....Your videos are entertaining, educational, and convey a lush enthusiasm that is infectious....I am SO looking forward to all of your videos documenting “Scrappy’s” progress.

I agree 100%. I dream of building a plane, but I'm blind as a bat, suffer from motion sickness, and have no technical skills whatsoever. I shouldn't fly let alone build a plane. So I live vicariously through him. I'm just glad he's ok after the crash. He isn't done building things yet. He makes stuff every man with a pulse can't help but love, I think of him as the Hennessy of bush planes.

Considering it did a sort of side roll, i'm thinking the frame must've suffered a lot of torsional damage. At that point...it's scrap. It's not like a front impact or a snapped wing or something localized. It's all over. It would be irresponsible and dangerous to try to fix something like that.
That being said, if he really wants another Draco, theoretically speaking, all he has to do is get another air frame, and "import" all the parts that can be salvaged.
That being said x2, personally, i would go on to another project.

I wadded my Maule up because of a momentary lapse of judgment. It happens because we are human and while we try our best not too. I'm not one who is quick to judge, but one of the locals at the airport coffee shop brought my accident up for months. Oddly enough he made the same mistake as I did and didn't catch it in time and was killed.

Mike, I thoroughly enjoy your positive attitude and your ingenuity for building and designing your airplanes.
I watched you excitingly build Draco and couldn't wait for it to be finished myself. When I saw the video from the crash it saddened me but I was happy that you weren't hurt badly. Mike, watching your videos has helped me to become motivated and excited to create dreams in my life where like you Mike....the sky's the limit!

They are actually different phenomenon. Cavitation is caused by water pressure being too low and transforming to steam. This damages the prop. Stalling happens when the airflow separates from the airfoil and becomes turbulent.
