Anyone that wants to see real success and real enthusiastic commitment ??!! Look no further. You can see how much he cares about the business reputation and the businesses customers in the way he talks about each part of the process. This is true success!! Fantastic product.
Having worked as a production manager and then a project manager and finally a purchasing manager for a large scale company, I can really appreciate the thought and effort that went into this layout of the shop and how it functions. Especially the part when a mistake is found it gets sent back to the guy who made the mistake so he can correct it and learn from his mistakes. Just an amazing glimpse into how an efficient production company should run. Thanks Dan and Mark. Obviously there is much more to the Patey's than just a shiny head. So impressive.
USA small business. So cool! I own two small family businesses and I'll be the first to say how much work it takes. The joy of a job well done is the best. This was a very cool video to watch and see what family business can do! Great job! You guys filled a niche and did it 100%
You gotta just love it. This is an excellent example of perfection at work! The name Patey is associated with excellence, innovation, quality, and perfection! No cutting corners to make an extra buck, and not skimping and calling it good enough.
I bought an Alpha 3 for my Bonanza about a year ago and I love it, best money I’ve spent. Paxton treated me right, I had a lock pin for an adapter that didn’t make the shipping trip and within a couple days I had the one I was missing plus two extra. Can’t say enough about Best Tugs, great dealing with them and I highly recommend.
That was fun watching Mark conduct the tour with you. He and Mike are incredibly brilliant and Mark’s passion for Best Tugs is super evident. Best Tugs is a great example to all American manufacturers that “Made in America” is Best!!! Their attention to detail, quality and continual improvements is awesome.
I don't need a tug and I can't afford one but I wish I could buy one from Best Tug just to support a fantastic American company, ran by great Americans, who put quality and customer service above the dollar. Great job.
Great video tour Dan! I've been marketing for industrial manufacturers for 25 years and that's how you do it. In house QC, bullet proof engineering and focused on the customer experience. Expect nothing less from a Patey.
Mark....you are a superman! I am so impressed of your knowledge and deep understanding of all aspects of Best Tugs. You are a shining example of what an American Manufacturer is. I wish you continued success and happiness!
Thanks Dan and Mark great video and great tour! Wow what a 1st class outfit, this family seems to be the total package. As I learn more about the character of these brothers it makes me think how lucky all these people are to be in their every day lives. The patey’s definitely deserve the rewards of their hard work, excellent role models! Thanks again Dan for the delivery, I enjoyed your on the road interview! Look out Bryan Walstrom! 😬 (JK I’m a fan of Bryan also)
Thanks for the tour Dan and Mark! I purchased a B 5 for my Cirrus last year from Paxton and must say, my fun level for flying went up a bunch just because of the ease and safety of moving my plane. Oh, and the older I get, the heavier the plane seems to be LOL.
Really great tour Dan, thanks - and all with the amazing and super talented Patey folks. Wow, what a building and set-up. Best Tugs are amazing - super product, and MADE IN THE USA. Well deserved success.
Funny coincidence. I was looking at Best Tugs website last night and the used tugs they had, as well as all the new product they're manufacturing. I can see why owning a Best Tugs is on your wish list, Dan!
Totally refreshing to see a company where the quality of the product that leaves the company matters. The best part is the product is made here in the USA.
14:11 - we don't do marketing... who needs marketing when your twin brother has such an awesome UA-cam channel creating such an awareness of the Patey ethos and Best Tugs as a brand!
Somewhere I've heard "anything that can't sell without advertising is probably not worth the money". If your product is worth it all you really need to do is get the word out and get people to try it so they can see for themselves.
I'm praying the Pateys get together and start building AUTOMOBILES - one's that actually last! GM, Ford, FCA, Toyota, Nissan, Kia, Hyundai - they're killing us technicians out here with their poorly designed and located components, and the high failure rates of new components! I think there's alot of people that would gladly mortgage a car or truck, so long as it was built to last generations. I'm one of them! Excellent tour, Dan! These guys never cease to amaze me with their drive and work ethic. If I were to move around a high-dollar flying machine, you can bet I'd buy one of these in a heartbeat. EVERY line of business today can learn a thing or two from the Pateys!
I've worked in engineering/manufacturing companies most of my career and it's very clear Mark and Best Tugs are a first-class operation. It's very gratifying to see this attention to detail and the high standards of quality control they employ in their company. Well done, keep up the great work!
I’ve been a big fan of the Patey brothers for a few years now. This was an extremely cool video. Thank you to Mark for such a wonderful tour and thank you for a great video for us. I’ve been wanting to see what their factory looks like. 👍🏻👍🏻
A perfect example of American ingenuity, quality and business ship. A good example of what you get when government is not involved with business. It's called "self incentive" to make your product better than a good competitor of the same product.

Cool!! I get to leave a comment before @Parr 4 The Course !! This is the most real Patey experience ever! Thanks Dan for adding an item to my bucket list. What an awesome interview and tour!!
Sure the Best Tugs are expensive. But so is back surgery. I got an Alpha 2 and love it. With my cub on 31’s with four pounds in the tires and 48 gallons of fuel in the tanks, it’s all I can do to move it. That little thing can push it up hill on wet grass. It’s great!
Amazing, but even more amazing was Mike's video talking about how when they were in the decking business, they made sure to exceed every customer's expectations by 2% -- even the gnarly, obnoxious difficult one.
This is a great video, and if I ever get a tug it will definitely be a Best Tug. Now all I have to do is get over the little issue of getting a plane first, but I’m working on it. Also keep an eye on their kids, because they’re probably going to be designing the next space station.
Interesting video, thanks. I'd be curious to see a few of the model tugs at work out on the tarmac. Show how they move, connect, operate, disconnect, load into a plane- all the things you buy one for. Thanks.
Great video and a very impressive organization! I would love to be an engineer there. :) I really appreciate that everything is made in house, and the extraordinary quality checks they use on all their tugs.
I bought a best tug a to the only thing I could see that I had to question about is that the battery charger cable that comes out of the handle should be fixed mounted or something else is just kind of dangling from The Wire. However this is indeed the best tug a very happy with everything else that works great as long as you remember turn off the switch and not tank the batteries. The batteries can be salvaged if it hasn't been too long by taking and disconnecting the batteries and charging them with a conventional battery charger. These people have got to be the nicest people in the world.

This must have been last November. That was my orange “chrome yellow” tug that got tagged. Yes, I was excited to get it!
I was wondering if the person would see this video!!! Yes indeed, last November. Im slow to edit sometimes.
Did you recheck those battery hold down bolts? :)
