    You can get the hanger swirl tool from any hardware or home improvement stores for way less than brambleberry. It’s called a, “GEAR TIE”. I got a pack of three (different thickness) for about $5.00. I like brambleberry but their products are way more expensive than most other supply stores and the shipping cost are crazy expensive and longer to ship than most others. Just saying.

    This soap sounds great! I’ve made an avocado soap several years ago. The essential oil blend sounds nice too! I can’t use soaps or anything with fragrance oils because I’m allergic and my skin will break out.

    Hi, I have been making Avocado soap with coconut milk for over 4 years now. My experience has been that in order for the soap not to get dark from the avocado I freeze the batches for 24 hours. I live in florida and Avocado and coconut are very available. I love using the fruit, but I have only had great results by freezing it because when the temperature increases as it goes through the normal process the Avocado which is considered a fruit it turns dark. Have you experience the same by not freezing your soap?

      @ArianeArsenault  5 років тому

      To My Younger Self the soap did gel. The total water discount when you input the coconut milk and avocado was 10%. I only placed in the fridge 2-3 hours to prevent over heating. It definitely gelled still.

    The palm oil is still grown where Rainforests should be going. Sure, it’s better I guess, but we need that land to be rainforest.

    • @LadyGecko
      @LadyGecko 4 роки тому +1

      Jessica Lagoo - It’s being grown in other places too.

    • @carolineleiden
      @carolineleiden 3 роки тому

      Once a place is a plantation, it is not going to return to being a rainforest. That is gone. Better turn that plantation into a sustainable one and just not cut down any more rainforest.
      The yield of oil per square meter is highest from palmtrees, as opposed to any other oils. There's a lot of human beings on this planet and they all need vegetable oil. Not just for soap, but for eating too.
      Want to save nature? Reduce people. And lo and behold: the vaccines are doing just that. And this is just the allergic short term reactions. Just wait until the auto immune diseases start developing.

    • @jeffreym68
      @jeffreym68 4 роки тому

      In my experience, the colors don't change, but they are less likely to blend together with thicker batter. So if that's what you mean by definition, yes, I have found that to be the case.

    Hi this is a really nice and informative video. I really want to start a home based soap making business can you give me some advice on it....

    • @Soul.7
      @Soul.7 2 роки тому +1

      Start by making soap!
      And perfecting your craft
      Give yourself a year or more to create your own unique solid oil templates/and soap recipes.
      Testing them in friends & family.
      Depending on where you live in the world you may be expected to have your 8 soaps (16, 24 etc) assessed by a chemist. You pay them, they test & certify when your soaps pass their standards.
      Sell in local markets, farmers markets, fairs, festivals, events, in local shops that will host your products, online website, social media etc etc.
      You’ll need to start buying your soap materials in bulk.
      You got good soaping equipment?
      Some seasoned soapers say give yourself at least 3 years before going into business as a soapmaker, to start selling, build your brand, get noticed, and start making profit, as it takes time for people to find you, and to expand your experience on all aspects of soap marketing.
      Hope this helps. x

    • @heatherdefoor1575
      @heatherdefoor1575 4 роки тому +1

      Gel phase only happens when your soap gets hot, she refrigerated these to prevent any over heating. A good way to force gel is to set your oven on its lowest setting while you make soap, then turn it off and place the soap inside with the door cracked open just a bit.
