Why I Think New Balance Is on Top of the Sneaker Game

- In this video I talk about why I think new balance rules the sneaker game and how other sneaker brands can not compete. This is just my opinion and what I think. Let me know what you think about the current state of the sneaker world!
In my city, Aarhus in Denmark, New Balance is the normal show to use. Is hard to find people walking in nike or adidas. Most people walk in new balance, asics, or salomon
You know what I’ll say! 😂 but fr having been in the community for almost 25 years, Nike is sort of the constant, “big brother” type brand that was so all consuming and dominant as a kid/growing up it was difficult to be into much else for awhile. Once my parents gave me a pair of 996s instead of Air Max’s in middle school and my initial disappointment wore off, it was New Balances, Air Max, and some SB’s until about 15 years ago when it became just NB. Amazing brand, even better people who have worked for and with the company for decades means their ethos spells itself out in the products. This recent run is richly deserved and I’m excited to see where the brand goes in the next few years. One thing I don’t want to see happen is other company’s like Nike or Adidas poach some of the talent that has spurred this run, which is what happened to Nike in the last two decades that really sapped their creative energy and output. Once you get that first new balance every other shoe brand slowly starts to slip out of you hands and its New balance from then on out! New balance will hopefully stay true to their creativity and richness!
It would be fun to watch you find great deals on New Balance shoes! Finding great prices on MiUSA or MiUK sneakers online is always a great feeling.
I bought so many shoes like this, it's crazy! Like the brand new 992s I found for like $70 USD at that Quebec City store last week. I gave you the reference last week on your previous video.

This is a great idea! There isn't to many better feeling than finding a good steal on a MADE model. I will go out hunting someday soon and try and find a pair! Thanks!

Been wearing the 990v6 triple black for a few months now and it's definitely one of the most comfortable and cool looking shoes I've owned. No other brand can successfully recreate a shoe like the 990 series. It's truly unique.

The 990v6 triple black is so clean. Exactly, no other brand can replicate new balance
NB definitely benefitting off the less is more and quality over quantity wave which has taken over clothing and fashion spaces in recent years compared to the Hypebeast era in the previous decade. Just picked up the MiUK 991v2 Vintage Sport, perfect summer shoe and colour pairs with my England shirt so will definitely be taking them with me to Germany following England next week.
The 991v2 vintage sport is one of the most perfect sneakers I’ve ever seen! Enjoy them and enjoy your trip!
Keep in mind that Foot Locker had deals with Nike and Adidas to push their product in previous years. Nike has moved its marketing spending on its own stores, so has Adidas. Foot Locker has diversified the number of brands they push recently, and has deals with brands like New Balance to push their products now.
It's like when you go to the breakfast cereal aisle at the supermarket. Products that are stocked at eye level pay to be there. Others are at the bottom or top of the shelves.

Great video as always, I want to ask you which one you prefer between the 990v4 vs 990v6 for durability and shoes for standing and walking all day?
Thanks! I personally prefer the 990v4. It just fits better with everyday life and looks better with more outfits. Both are extremely durable and comfortable. I just prefer the v4 a little more over the v6

I am new to NB sneakers and I agree, the quality, materials, comfort and collabs they stay winning. With Nike's comfort I haven't been impressed overall for a while, and having a wider foot is another reason for searching for another brand, with that being said I think Nike will always remain #1 for the history, aesthetics and the swoosh logo
Nike will always be the king, like you said the swoosh is too iconic. But new balance is making a strong push! The comfort and the way new balance fits is unbeatable.
i think you should join on their top management!, im sure slowly but sure someday NB gradually will catch up adidas or puma, for NIKE i think is still long way to go! 😄😄
I would love to work for new balance someday lol! Nike will always be on top forever but for people like us, we know new balance has the goods!

If you’re comparing the volmero 5 what new balance shoe would that be ?

@@samdopkosky I get stares at constantly for wearing new balance I wear them with low to mid cut socks and get talked about constantly behind my back it’s annoying but wouldn’t change my style at all for anyone
@@andytrinh8438 when I first started wearing new balance the same thing happened to me. Everyone said I was wearing dad shoes. I never let it get to me, I will always love new balance no matter what other people around me say. If you love them then keep wearing em!
Hey Sam! Do you know why NB doesn’t produce any UK12 at all? I’m like stuck with UK11.5 that’s too snug on those narrow models and going UK12.5 is just too long.
I am not sure why they don't, that's very odd maybe someday they will!
Try 12.5 with an insole maybe?
are the 990v6 better than 5740? I really didnt find my pair comfortable and that has put me off nb
Wear the v6 a little more. You’ll be able to see the difference. It’s incredible
I know your a new balance head but Nike volmero came out in 2006
They just recently brought it back so it’s new to me

NB is on top. The comfort,craftsmanship and durability can't be reached by nike or adidas or any brand especially these High End brands, they have zero comfort. They tryna imitate the models like you said yes however New Balance are out of their league. NB forever, for life! Thanks for inspiring me mate. You got me already 3 of the best pairs NB has to offer and the 992 is the next on my list. Mondays are set in my calendar for a new drop now 😜 Thanks as always
