Just a tipp on how to improve for future tutorials. I see this very often, especially in programming tutorials. While you do a step by step guide, you don't explain why you do it a certain way. For example you change the Gradient Texture node to spherical for the seed material... but you don't tell the viewer the reason for that. And you are too fast. Even if someone has experience with Blender, it is simply pretty hard to follow if you just glance over stuff. Explaining the reasoning behind decisions would also improve the general flow of the video a lot.
Great tutorial! Only critique is that you should have had us make a vertex group of the selected seed faces in the beginning, before we went on to material. I had de-selected the seeds by then, and had to do some serious clicking haha
Great tutorial. One question, how do I select all the yellow seeds? Ctrl+ only selects the neighboring planes of the single selected seed. Looking for a quick way to select all and only all the seeds without having to click on each single seed face. Thanks!

Hello, I hope I am not too late answering this! I was very confused about this as well, because E (extrude) would not go inwards for me as is shown in the video. What I ended up doing is hit E (to extrude) and then S (to scale) and move my mouse inwards.
I'm not sure if me working on a MAC laptop has anything to do with it, but the ctrl+ isn't working for me at all. That and my "+" is on the opposite side of the keyboard, so unless I type it with my face I can't reach it while clicking. Are there any other shortcuts?

Hello! I'm started the tutorial but at 1:35 when I add subdivision surface modifier the strawberry form is horrible. As I see it not subdivide the "grid" only the berry holes. What did I do wrong?
I had the same issue but I found out I had 2 or 3 vectors grouped together at each point on the strawberry which effected the subdivision modifier making it look sharp. Start again and you should be okay!
i had the same issue, what i did is i selected one seed and then went to the select tab, then went to select similar or shift g and choose similar by perimeter and it selected all the face that had the same size
**HELP!!!!** From 1:45 - after I go from the Layout workspace to the Shading workspace, I press Shift+A (like at 1:47) --> I get the main menu--> but all the sub-menus for Vector (and other main menu items) are grey and unclickable. Also, I don't have the Principled BSDF and Material Output menu windows already there in the shading workspace. Was a step skipped in the video or did I do something wrong? If i did, how do I fix this, please? The only way I get sub-menu items to be white (instead of grey) in the Shading workspace is if I start with Material Properties first (and this step isn't shown in the video; the BSDF menu just appears, so I'm confused). Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.
@@lastedturtle1695 If anyone else is in doubt, it worked for me: 1.- First click on a seed, then press ctrl + or you can also do: On the top screen, next to edit mode in shading, there are options of "View, select, add, mesh... "etc. Click select -> Select more/less -> click more This will select a seed for you. To select all of them, click select -> select similar -> Perimeter That worked for me.

you have to make sure that the edge is not to sharp cause if it is it will not subdevide

Actually it is the Y axes, just press 3 to go to right view and then scale it on Y (Press S + Y)

At 4:10 how did you quick select all of the seeds. I cant figure it out and i dont want to select them all one by one

when i extrude the at 0:59 it does not go in on itself rather it will move the entire insides along the x y or z axis
Press Alt+E and select "Extrude Individual Faces"

it's Ctrl+ to select the neighbor faces
Edit mode remember that all seed if you did not click other surface. if you already clicked!! you must roll back by ctrl+z
