Old school electrical was a nightmare if someone else has messed with it...
The new stuff with the computer, 10,000 sensors and cheap wiring harnesses is a nightmare before it's ever touched...
In most cases, heavier wires would make a difference.. but.. when they're not in the plug correctly and the harness is worn or cut...

Yep, the dental floss wiring we always called it, can imagine what happens after a few years

@@kellismith4329 early '90s with the fly by wire on excavators, the wiring harness might last 5 years.. and cost more than a new machine to replace.
I knew a guy shovel logging who paid the price because of the cheap wiring harness. 600' ride to the bottom of a canyon. Put him 6' under when they got him out of the mess...

As a young whipper snapper a shop foreman told me to trust my gut and NEVER listen to sales people, parts personal etc. when they offer "advice". Get the manual and schematics. If I had a dollar for all the times I had to figure things out myself because factory reps, gurus AND engineers were stumped or wrong..

This is why warranties are useless.
