I agree, the best place to get propolis is from your local beekeeper and infuse it in pure grain alcohol. I have been making it for years and it never dissolves in water, so I not sure what's in this product that makes it dissolve in water. Propolis is a resin and will float when added to water. I would be very suspicious of this product and what is in it. Buyer beware!!
Most of the effective phenolic agents that confer propolis its anti-cancer anti-microbial properties are lipopilic (not soulble in water). Therefore, the one on the right is the worst since it lost most of the ingredients giving propolis its curative properties.
I just made a batch of about 300g everclear with 42g propolis from a bee keeping friend. It’s pretty close to the left bottle. Thinking about making cough drops with some of it.
Not sure if I've gained anything from this video. As a beekeeper, I was hoping to find out how you could test the quality of propolis. The video shows 3 samples, though as nothing was explained, I'm still confused. I thin my propolis with alcohol, but not for the purpose as using as a tincture, but use as an attractant / lure. Mine is sticky as was the right sample. I'd say that is the best, but only for what I use it for.
It depends if it is a tincture ( with alcohol) or an extract . The right one is definitely propolis tincture. And on the left.. i don t know if it is wax. Could be propylene glycol.. :p
How about adding some text word audio to tell us what those results actually mean. All that I'm seeing is that they're different, and that could be down to the solvent used to make the tincture.
Yes it can be an alcohol extract but there are 2 issues with this form: one - the alcohol level has to be really high which can be caustic to mucosal membranes, and two - if you use high alcohol then you will lose out on the water soluble compounds.
Mine is made in Brazil and it looks like the one in the far right at the last picture but slightly more diluted and i think it coats my throat great for my cough. Your video is very bad because you don't explain what any of these tests mean. What is good and what is bad??
There is more propolis in the black one,it's mean that is not more extracted. The second wich is yellow is the good one, propolis=yellow, good extracted The third one has more water, not good extracted
What are you trying to say? I would definitely go with one that is not water soluble because that means there is no alcohol added and it is more potent. Correct me if i am wrong...
Good work. This test is called the solubility test. It is an indicator of quality and consistency of the propolis. What you see on the left is a product that does not measure in quality. Watch the rest of the video and you will see the absorption test which is just as important. There are three more ways by which you can test the quality of propolis. 99 percent of the quality in the market is worthless. Show me one result documented in pictures . There is a huge difference between melting and extracting. There is also a huge difference in the quality of the propolis depending on the region, the primitivity of the source and the variety available for the bees to collect.
Every one who has purchased or who is planning to purchase propolis or propolis extract should try this test. It is simple and easy to conduct. If you would like more info please write back. Thank you. Sam
you a legend , because nothing was explained in the video. so are we ideally looking for something that holds together? that doesnt spread through the water
Tried to see the video too because am taking propolis as well. ..just somehow disappointed because there's no enough ideas presented..😶 .the presenter may have a sore throat... 😷.? ..try using propolis 😊😃😂..btw thanks for sharing. ..😊
What you show us here is the quality of "being dissolved" and not the actual quality of propolis. You cannot "show" the quality of propolis, it all depends on it's own ingredients.
you are absolutely right. Brazilian propolis does not come from the Amazon. most is from Sao Paulo State and nearby South of Minas Gerais State. Also, this video is very amateurish.
Quality is everything. It makes all the difference. some of our competition raised their prices recently to match ours thinking the consumer is not educated enough. Our customers are podiatrists who believe in natural health, dermatologists who are doing their own research and have our full support, alternative medicine pofessionals and ND's.
Yes, Propolis is a solid substance but Propolis Extract is a liquid. The quality of the Propolis Extract depends on the Extract method, as well as the quality of Alcohol, if Alcohol is used to extract the Propolis. Our Propolis Extract is premium quality because our Propolis is from Amazon in Brazil and the Alcohol used to extract the Propolis is USP food grade Organic Grape Alcoho.
Thumbs down. What are you doing? You are putting ten drops of SOMETING into (I am guessing) water. WHAT is it that you are putting into the water (and is it water, alcohol, peroxide, witch hazel). Very few of us are mind traders, so you either need to verbally tell us what you are doing, or put words on the screen. I hope that this is your first attempt at marketing, because it is pretty bad. I would not buy your product out of fear that it is produced as poorly as this video was.
Hmmm, the world's best propolis? While interesting and easy, your test methods shown don't prove much. Show us your HPLC chromatograph to see the variety and volume of flavonoids, CAPE and other health-beneficial compounds.
You are the one (only) here who stated right about propolis quality understanding. Obviously 99.9% of consumers have no idea about what goodness is coming from a propolis and how to measure it. Yeah, we are a minority on such front.
What you want to show exactly some magic or selling particular product, playing with bottle..I was doing this when I was a kid.collecting different bottle, making different colours n then mixing n seeing change in colour getting happy..totally waste of time watching, all went bouncers
Iwan Setiawan propolis brasal dari iler lebah yang mengandung bioflafonoid yaitu anti bakteri virus dan jamur, jadi propolis mampu mengobati segala macam penyakit yang berasal dari bakteri virus dan jamur
So, what was the conclusion of this video? What did you analyze? I want to know the advantages and didadvantages of both sides. Pros and cons.

Thanks for the info!
please don't misinform people!!! Propolis extract has to dissolve in water as shown on right side
The one on the right is excellent quality
Agree. To dissolve like that is to have some sort of emulsifier additive or something.
about to make some, will let you know how it turns out
Propolis is rich in phenolics/flavonoids which are insoluble in water. The first one on the left is a genuine product
Most of the effective phenolic agents that confer propolis its anti-cancer anti-microbial properties are lipopilic (not soulble in water). Therefore, the one on the right is the worst since it lost most of the ingredients giving propolis its curative properties.

@@thomasmeier0815 why must it be white in water?

black one is propolis resin extract, light one is propolis tincture on alcohol. Two different things, for different use.
Propolis is resinous and not generally water soluble so I don't quite get what this is supposed to prove.
propolis can also be an alcoholic tincture
Yes it can be an alcohol extract but there are 2 issues with this form: one - the alcohol level has to be really high which can be caustic to mucosal membranes, and two - if you use high alcohol then you will lose out on the water soluble compounds.
This video was created by dumb ashes. With NO COMMENTARY, who can understand anything it's trying to prove?
How much I have gathered, it is not water soluble, so alcohol or oil is needed for extraction. When tincture is ready, we can dilute it for ingestion.

@Sora I did read... "THIS ONE HAS ONLY WAX".. there's TWO obviously.. so WHICH ONE IS that? ? ? ?
There is more propolis in the black one,it's mean that is not more extracted.
The second wich is yellow is the good one, propolis=yellow, good extracted
The third one has more water, not good extracted
which is the best !?
10%is soluble any beyond 10% gets sticky so use it with bread and not water.
What are you trying to say? I would definitely go with one that is not water soluble because that means there is no alcohol added and it is more potent. Correct me if i am wrong...
Yes, you are wrong. Propolis is not water soluble. Alcohol is used to make propolis soluble, and then it can be water soluble.

Hi Sam, what are the best purest propolis brands sold on the market today?
you a legend , because nothing was explained in the video.

What is the ingredients in all three propolis? Alcohol?
My bees on the Alps made very good propolis but i prepare just 1 liter a year.
How to distinguish good quality propolis?

Our customers are podiatrists who believe in natural health, dermatologists who are doing their own research and have our full support, alternative medicine pofessionals and ND's.
Sam Farhat hello there may I ask for you product info. I would like some

One is diluted with alcohol, the other is pure bee glue (very sticky).

What is your brand called?
Doesn’t applying the alcohol to propolis kill the live natural antibiotics that supposed to kill bacteria, fugus and viruses?
Your not saying anything and one bottle is face the other side so we don’t even know what it is can you explain please
What is that? No explanation?
So how do I know which one is good or not?!?
On the right one is orijinal one 👌
I can even say that the other ones are better because they are much more concentrated!
Good berkualitas and bermanfaat 👍👍👍
for everyone who intends to buy propolis or has already. try this test and see for yourself.
I don't get it. Propolis is a solid, not a liquid.
Please say sumthing...
good point
How we can be sure that you don't mess with the quality of others. You need to open a brand new bottle and show the test video without cutting.
Wax does not dissolve in alcohol! You're talking nonsense! But sure make a video about it!!!
