Because I've done a few videos where I speak about my house, the finances involved and also the ways myself and others have made money online/through social media, I thought it would be 'on brand' to make a follow up video where I reveal how much youtube paid me for my tiny house video. like I said, this isn't intended to be a boastful or big headed video, it's just something I'm interested in and is something that people have shown interest in, in the past. if people don't like me speaking about this kind of thing any more, then I'll totally understand avoid it in the future.

Actually, we, the great unfilmed, enjoy these glimpses behind the potential earnings of UA-cam. A lot of people have turned this unlikely method of employment into very successful businesses. Whether UA-cam replaces someone's full-time job or perhaps acts as a retirement gap filler. It is good information for someone trying to determine if UA-cam is a platform with potential for success. I have found some channels owned by people who may never have been successful in a "normal" job but have totally rocked it on UA-cam.

It's a great insight and motivator and of course this profession is a very competitive business and also dependant on the algorithm and channel support / random drive by visitors etc. The youtube video is one thing as it involves an insane amount of work to look professional, and then there is the actual preparation of the content and associated costs plus the actual labour. Therefore, assuming its run as a business, or at least followed business practices, an overview of what we would call management accounts would give a real sense of the actual revenues involved. To be honest, the £46k sounds amazing, but in reality after deducting taxes, expenses and cost of production etc the earnings are relative. Still, it would feel so great to get such a deposit into ones bank account for all ones hard work so I really agree with you it is mind blowing, especially if you can churn out content like this with the associated views for at least five times in the year :)
