The reason why it’s amazing is because Seth McFarland knows how to make stuff funny. If you took this and any current episode of family guy that isn’t written by Seth, it’s apparent that the Ted show has more effort and care put into it. To the future of Ted show and to the future of Seth, mad respect
Seth McFarlane makes a good comeback with Ted. Family Guy is dying a slow death and hasn’t done much since the Orville which became good after each season. But Ted could go on for a while with how much praise it’s getting.
The Orville deserves at least one more season, if not more. I could see how juggling both shows would be difficult for some of the actors who appear in both, and for Seth. Would love to see it, however.
I think it's great, and damn near perfect! I've told several people about it, but they haven't checked it out yet. I've tried to tell them the whole family in this blends so well that IT WORKS WAY Better Than The Two Movies! I'm also sure I'm not alone in thinking the actress who plays Blair is Super 🔥 HOT! I may be exaggerating just a bit, but "I" have ZERO issues with her, and she's perfect for that role! Great Writing as well! I'll be Extremely Disappointed if there's not a 2nd season!
I love they had courage to be rude and old school jerks while at same time bringing modern more progressive views to the table too, even though you have ppl who hate with passion 1 side or other and ended making great, fun even wholesome show as result.
I think if this show becomes a multi season affair as I hope it does, I think they might eventually have something happen to his parents resulting in the emotionally stunted adult we see in Ted.
Ur point on shows being better than movies is interesting, imo i believe that shoes are shows and movies are movies, you cant turn a show into a movie without changing it alot vice versa, and tbh i prefer movies more and i do like some shoes (breaking bad ofc) but i dont really have a reason, i guess its because most storys are so short yet complex and the fact that they let us infer hoe the characters grow after the movie, idk
No that’s perfectly reasonable, movies are really great for that aspect. I’m somebody who prefers the slow burn of tv shows and getting to know the characters more in depth
The random side chars are so funny, their basically the family guy cut aways, but actually put some effort into it haha, especially , the guy that helps him get condoms
The thing is I know that anything Seth Macfarlane touches will be funny af with a no holds bar type of comedy. Like how Family Guy was from Season 4-10. It felt just like that. So I didn’t even have any doubts considering the movies were both hilarious, so I already knew the show was gonna be hilarious too and it was.
I honestly would not mind if they reconned the movies to just follow the show and eventually into adulthood with the new characters in their own movies or seasons
You should watch American Dad. It's still running and still has the best comedy I've seen right now. A lot of comedy isn't funny anymore, so it's hard to find a good one
I agree about liking TV shows over movies. Nowadays I feel like movies are our dated in alot of ways and all feel the same alor of the time. You don't get to really know the characters because you only have 2 or 3 hours with them and there's too much being thrown at you too quickly to really get invested or stay invested. I find that when I watch a movie I always start to zone out during the climax of it. You know that scene all movies have where shits hitting the fan? Usually it's the final boss fight or something similar. Stories are way better when told episodically.
I mean, I feel ya to a degree. You argue the movie is too short but if they made the movie 5 hours in order to accommodate, you would say it's too long. Yet, you will sit and binge an entire 8 hours of a TV series if you have the time. Something about that just seems off to me. (Of course, I'm speaking in general, not specifically you.)
Yeah it’s a funny hypocritical part of her character. She tries to act above everyone else yet still resorts to offensive or dumb things without realizing
I see a lot of people say things like “oh this show is gonna get canceled for this humor” as they miss the point being that Ted and John are written to be absolute idiots
@@marcdimartino9118 oh yeah definitely I'm not denying that but she talks like a Gen Z kid who takes offence to literally everything and people didn't talk about being pansexual in the 90s because that sort of thing simply didn't exist back then.
@jacobmassey3897 I was born in 1998, so I can't speak firsthand to how young adults acted at that time, but I agree that back then those matters were much less pronounced especially in the household. Like, it would have been more realistic if she kept her sexuality hidden. I think there were absolutely politically correct/progressive folks back then, but, to your point, her brazen nature about it is totally gen z.
@@marcdimartino9118 absolutely. I was born in 1964 so remember the 90s well and you definitely did not find anyone like Blair around back then. She's just a mouthpiece for all the Gen Z kids who would try to get Ted cancelled if the offensive jokes were told without anyone in the show to point out that they are clearly offensive like the comment (not even intended to be offensive) about midgets/ dwarfs/ little people.
@jacobmassey3897 It sucks, but you're right. It was a move to cover their ass in case of online outrage. I think it still works though, because a part of what makes the jokes funny to me is how triggered Blaire gets.
Hey, guys, chill, Matty did that thing in Vietnam, so we don't have to do it here. Respect. Girls learned not to join the army, while boys learned that it's not too bad to be ugly.

Jon's parents were introduced in the first Ted. They were completely contradicted. Other than that, its a good show
I didn’t remember that, thanks for reminding me! 🤟🏻
It was only briefly tho so it made more than enough room for a retcon

I was really surprised by how good this show was and I’m glad a lot of people like it as well. Hope we all get a second season! 🧸
Agreed! I wanted more episodes so badly lol
"shows not perfect" as the main characters high five. That's perfectly perfect perfection in my eyes.

Peacock make less megamind vs the doom syndicate and more Ted

It's like Family Guy but smart
This show was absolutely fantastic, best show honestly season 2,3,4 and 5. Idc how many they make id still watch them until Ted 3 ;)
I felt bad about laughing at Matty's experience in Vietnam after he explained it. IFKYK
This was a great analysis bruh! Sub👍🏾

It's great cause Todd McFarland is back in a TV show that he writes not just voice like season 1-4ish on family guy
Seth. Seth MacFarlane.
Todd 😂😂
The only negative thing I have to say about Ted the series is there's not enough episodes. I don't think 22 would have been enough. I love it.
I can feel the family guy vibe in in this show
This was truly insightful
Thank you !!
It was great show I love every second.

At least Ted 2, cause Ted 1 is pretty great

I agree

You can tell wrote this. It has been a long time since we’ve seen this caliber of comedy. Used to be in Family Guy

Seth got the opportunity to make Family Guy IRL
Minus them making the cousin gay but ya the show is amazing

Dennis the Dump Truck needs to finish his story...
Idk I'd it was just the music, but it felt like live action family guy. 7 episodes was not enough frfr
Just one problem….its on peacock
And a month later memes of Ted running are popping up everywhere... Yeah this show ain't that bad.
I think the show isn't worried about offending anyone or being politically correct and that's what helped the show.
blaire takes the lords name in vain but then complains about someone elses speech kinda funny and ironic
