There is soo much character and roleplay in this series. The Rivetto 1100 is moving all over the place, just like in the original videos. You got the big German boats with lots of power and then some crazy Italians squirming all across the road, trying to get the absolute maximum out of their little engines.
Honestly mate your ability to use the in game car designer is fantastic and I am absolutely loving this content, its a massive refreshment from people just making wacky surface level cars. Will be watching for a long time.
I love finding small channels driven by passion and true creativity. The video came across in a recommendation and I immediately fell in love (even though I'm not even into cars).
This 1100 definitely looked a lot better coming out of the corners! I’m so excited to see your next model and how you’ll design it to shape the image of the company. Thanks for your content! And I have to say I really love the pace and level of detail you take with this play through. It really feels like we’re going through the years seeing the company develop.
I've been playing the Automation campaign for about a year, and even through all of the changes since then, it's nice to hear you review an extremely lean car company run like this. It is revealing a lot of the underpinning game elements to me which is very helpful for becoming more successful in my own runs. Keep up the great work!
You can look into the Ford Comete. A french gt/sport car with a 221ci or 239ci Ford flathead V8. Much like how Ferrari built road cars to finance racing, maybe Lorenzo is enticed into making a GT by an advisor, and takes advantage of surplus Gasmea engines. Taking the opportunity to enter the world of GT and endurance racing.
GT normally means 2+2 seats and the engines you mention are quite large and heavy. So far I am hesitant to change the direction so drastically, but if things continue to go well there will be a time, maybe in the 60s already!
I think one of the biggest things holding you back on this platform is that UA-cam likes to see at least one video every 7 days to promote but this automation series has blown up so big I’m happy to have found your channel
I do not believe that you need to post every 7 days to be successful, as long as the content is good. I rather want to focus on keeping up the quality than pushing something worse out in busy weeks.
2:55 I think the issue here is that your pistons are too heavy, the weight of the piston affects your conrods ability to rev. edit: 4:00 Ah, you figured it out.
I was really worried you had decided to step away from youtube, finding your automation series has been absolutely amazing as I have them on constantly while working on applying out for jobs.
Why do you think I would step away from UA-cam? There was only a 9 day waiting time between Ep2 and Ep3. In the meantime, I have to work a full-time job, had visitors, and made this video (about 8 hours of "work" if I had to guess). One video every 1-2 weeks is what I normally try to achieve. The winter period was better because of holidays. Good luck for your applications!
This is the best automation series on youtube I have seen, so thank you for that. If you want to make it even better for BeamNG so that the steering wheel actually moves put this into the description in automation: ~prop:[fixture number of your wheel],steering,0,1,0,0,0,0,-900,900,0,1~ This will move your wheel betwenn -900° and 900°. This for the 850MM would be ~prop:200,steering,0,1,0,0,0,0,-900,900,0,1~ as the steering wheel is the 200th fixture (I think it sould be the same for the 1100, but I couldn't make out in the videos).
the incredible quality of this series and its mix of technical insight and broad-strokes narration is perfect. Subscribed purely because I love this series, and I'm very interested in the others you make. Well done, my entertaining friend!
For your V8, what you can look at is contracting out and acting as if you were buying American V8s like many small European manufacturers. The British used to do this a lot, as did a few very small Italian companies. De Tomaso has always used Ford engines, for example. After that, given the displacement, which is well over 4 litres, it would be better for large road cars or GTs. It all depends on what you want to do. You have Formula 1, which began in 1948 in terms of regulations and 1950 for its drivers' championship. In 1950 and 1951, engines were limited to 4.5 litres naturally-aspirated and 2.5 supercharged. Few manufacturers had the maximum cubic capacity except for supercharged engines (with Alfa Romeo dominating). In 1952 and 1953, because of the speeds and the dangerousness of the cars, they switched to Formula 2 regulations with 2-litre naturally-aspirated and 0.75 supercharged engines (from that date on, no-one came with a supercharged engine apart from Renault in the late 70s). Then to finish the decade, they increased the maximum displacement of naturally-aspirated engines to 2.5 and did not increase that of supercharged engines. Finally, in 1958, they made leaded fuel available on the market compulsory. Prior to this date, there were engines running on ethanol, aviation fuel, etc.
Indeed the American style engines are a bit large and heavy for now. So I will more go into a self-designed small engine direction. F2 regulations would be fitting and I already had it on my radar. I am still not sure if I should do it. Need to check if the Track demographic is large enough already, as I should not build a complete waste of money :D If I decide against it, the racing focus for the next years will be the sports car category (which is also a lot easier to design in Automation).
Great videos. Recently found your channel and i've already binge-watched the Might series. I really like the lore, it makes it all a lot more "real" and interesting.
I love this, best automation content on the internet. have you played Gear City? It's like automation campaign but way more involved with the company side of things.
Thanks! I tried an early demo several years ago, but could not really get into it. The engineering and design process of cars in Automation just feels more natural to me. And I love to visually design cars and they just look much better in Automation. I haven't really followed the progress of Gear City in the recent years, so maybe it is worth it to revisit it again.
This is a joy to watch sir! I am curious if you can get a diff ahead of schedule and improve by leaps and bounds though.. Subscribed and eagerly awaiting more.. Ending with a lap time board might be neat.. Just a thought
I hardly understand anything, i'm not even sure if the spreadsheet part and the driving part are the same game but i really enjoy your designs and the lore behind them. Thank you for your videos.
The car design and "spreadsheet" part are from Automation - The Car Company Tycoon Game, the driving is done in BeamNG.drive. There is an exporter from Automation to BeamNG, both dev teams are collaborating on it.
I'm excited for the future of Cisalpina! I wonder if they will continue to be present in the Light Sports category or if they move onto more profitable segments entirely
I might go into 2-3 models in parallel, so Light Sports, Supercars, GT would be the obvious choices. I always want to have something for Light Sports though.
Rally in the 50s was basically done with series production vehicles. So there you go! :D I will work on more specialized racing cars as the racing regulations develop.
Thank for show how to play at this game=)) but can u pls help me with one thing, i copy ur car form 1st episode and u have total cost of project 235k but at my campaign it's cost 2.3kk, is it bug or it's a mod?
Did you really follow all the settings I did for engineering, production etc.? There are many things contributing to the overall project cost. If yes, it is still possible that something in the game was rebalanced in the meantime leading to different project costs.
Next episode will have a new platform :) It is common that platforms are used for different facelifts, the first 3 "models" by Ferrari between 1947 and 1953 were basically evolutions with the same wheelbase. And even after that, it was easy to just make the ladder frame a bit longer.
Nice, bro. But, in automation luxury campaign ep 19, i told u to concentrate the profite of any of ur car, and u said to me that all ur car were profitable. But, i was right, I saw in any of your video that not all your cars were profitable, due to their main problem to it's engine, or it's model trim. And, it just all the revenue that u got from all of your car's production. But sometimes, fixing any engine, model trim's main problem of any of your cars, or all it's main problem was clearly important for profit. And to be honest, I just wanted to suggest you to fix What's the main problem of any of your cars in automation. However, I really know u always fix the red problem to any of your car. But, If the problem suggestion icon became yellow, i suggest you to fix those problem, like u fix the red one. But, If the problem suggestion icon became blue, you can fix those problem. That's it. 🙂
I still think they were all pretty much profitable. The red warnings should be fixed, I completely agree. The yellow warnings are often helpful, but I feel quite comfortable building cars with good stats, so I ignore some of the yellow warnings. For example sometimes it is not possible to get rid of a wheelspin warning when you want to build a car with a lot of power. I want to build the cars I like and not what the game wants me to build. It is easier to build something special and not something average and generic (every car could end up to be very similar to other cars). I hope you understand :)
Difficult! The 4 cylinder engine is already at it's limits, I believe 1200 cc is the max I can get out of it. And making a new engine will take too long - I will rather work on a new car in next episode!
Unfortunately such kind of (low-priced) cars need to be mass produced to make enough profit - I don't have the money for the factories yet, so I need to go into markets where I can charge higher prices.
Please don’t stop making automation content. I know that You don’t get much views for the effort you put in but your content is extremely good.
I second that your video are great and I cant wait for the next one.
I agree, I look forward to seeing what this company will become!
He got more views than his subs xD
I lobe the content too❤❤❤ loves from texas

UA-cam: "Now."

Will be watching for a long time.
First time in a while on YT I am hyped for a series.
Same, der Bayer's timing is amazings ✨ almost thought I was going back to school without a campaign video for the weekend 😭
I love finding small channels driven by passion and true creativity. The video came across in a recommendation and I immediately fell in love (even though I'm not even into cars).
I am happy to hear that the videos are interesting to people outside the core game's bubble as well! Thanks!

I was just watching your older videos! Absolutely wonderful
It's a delight to see you working on this company, this is truly an original content and the way this game was intended to be played.
I loved the Do nothing dice roll on the recall option.

I really hope this company makes it far! I love the little Italian piggies and seeing this series makes me squeal with delight!
This is the best automation series on youtube I have seen, so thank you for that.
If you want to make it even better for BeamNG so that the steering wheel actually moves put this into the description in automation:
~prop:[fixture number of your wheel],steering,0,1,0,0,0,0,-900,900,0,1~

This for the 850MM would be ~prop:200,steering,0,1,0,0,0,0,-900,900,0,1~ as the steering wheel is the 200th fixture (I think it sould be the same for the 1100, but I couldn't make out in the videos).
Thanks for the hint, I will try it out!
I'm loving this series.

Nice video, the new car will be amazing and the radials will be game changer.
Just binge watched episode 1-4 this is my new favorite UA-cam series
Wait where is episode 4? :P
Great editing and music choice!
Porcellino was a good name for it, had me laughing seeing it waddle around those mountain slopes
The name was not my idea, all credits go to @jmit126 who came up with it in the comments of a previous video!
A series on YT I’m actually excited for finally!
I was so excited earlier today to see your post about a new episode coming soon. Did not expect it to be THE SAME DAY.

So nice, i wanted to learn how to start a campaign, very high quality videos.

Totally right, I didn't even monitize them yet - but I think I reach the point where it would make sense to do so. :)
So far my favorite channel making content for this game

It definitely will!
Have you thought of making a new 1,100cc engine, based on half of your 2 liter V8?
Great idea, this would make a lot of sense!
You could also make a direct OHC 750cc engine, and run in three racing classes.
Looks nice man! Will cisalpina ever compete in lemans this decade?
Yes, I will make a car which would work in Le Mans! So with focus on top speed even if it has comparatively low power.
when are you planning on doing one of your community challenge races next? i missed out on the la marche because i was so busy last year..
Very soon! End of February / beginning of March is realistic.
@@the.bavarian spectacular! really looking forward to taking part in it.
I don't understand how a triple carb works on a v8. How the heck do you balance and sync that?
I am not an engine guy, but I think they feed the air-fuel-mixture into one "shared" intake compartments. So all cylinders should get the same...
Any chance for you to put an on-screen speedometer during the testing section?
Yes, I will do this! I am scared to reveal the true (low) speeds though :)

It will probably more go into a Lotus Exige direction, as the company will not mass-produce cars. But let's see!

Some UA-cam functions like the end screens only work on 16:9, this was the only reason for me to switch.
