Handled one today at the show in Dublin, really well finished watch with a perfect case size , really got those vintage vibes, like the other guys here, I too was puzzled with those extra hands
It has an aged feeling about the watch and the extra hands give it a funky vibe to I think

Love it, this has the same movement and configuration as my cocktail time fuyugeshiki with same style of date and power reserve.

A really nice left of field watch from Seiko . If they could just sort out their movements to be consistently accurate they could clean up
Sure , this one was really good but it can be hit and miss at time
Mines running +3-5 seconds per day so no problems!

u can qlways manually adjust it

Hi Barry, this watch looks interesting, being different from the mainstream. However, I can't help feeling that the Presage and Prospex lines are dials in search of a movement. The 4R and 6R movements are no match for the Sellita SW200 and 300 series, and the ETA 28XX series movements. The 9 series Seiko movements are another matter, of course: but if German (predominantly) manufacturers like Marc and Sons or Heinrich can produce reasonably priced watches with Sellita movements, then Seiko should be able to do better. Sorry Barry, but this doesn't float my boat. Have a good weekend m8, Bob 🙂
I know where your coming from I would like to see a 8 beat movement fitted. But the one area the R movement bets the SW200-1 is you can hand wind them with no problems were the SW you really cant ,
Only earlier I had the auto wind bridge fully apart on one of my cheaper SW200-1 watches, as when you hand wound the watch the rotor would started to spin .
So had to apply two different types of oil to get it working correctly Rob

I recently swapped a watch for this one and was confused at first about the 5 hands! I didnt even know it had a power dial! lol
I was the same at first its only when I got it home and really looked at it LOL

None of the Seiko 5 have a small sub dial seconds and all have crown guards Ohle
very persuasive piece maybe ditch the bracelet for a cream color suede strap
