    You're the first person to make a truly helpful video for this issue! Thank you so much. My 2019 seat foam is pooched as well as the heater. Very frustrating to get a huge replacement quote when all I needed was this video to do it myself! Much appreciated man!

      Also with that said do you think I can totally replace and remove the bottom seat foam with this simple process?

      Glad it helped. And yea you should be able to replace the foam as well. Just take your time and go slow. The good news is if you’re replacing the foam you don’t have to worry about ripping out the clips that are glued into the foam that hold the leather on. I try to make all my videos quick and easy, I’d appreciate it if you subscribed

    Hey I’m back watching this video again did you have cool seats on this truck. I think I see holes in the cushion. I ask because I have to replace my cushion on my f150.
    Can I replace cushion just like you did without removing seat from the truck.
    Thanks

      Yea my seats are air conditioned as well. I didn’t replace the cushion but I’d say yes you shouldn’t have an issue doing it this way with the seat in the truck.

    I’m having a similar problem with my 2017 F250 lariat, only difference is my ac and heated seats do nothing. The lights come on and you can hear a slight fan noise in the seats with the ac seat on but nothing happens. I’m curious if the same “heating element” in the seat does heat and ac or if I’m having a separate problem all together. I checked the common issue of the ground pin being burnt up in the scme module under the passenger seat but all the pins look fine. So not sure if I have the same problem as you or if my scme module is bad. Any insight from anyone would be greatly appreciated!

      To the best of my knowledge they’re 2 different systems. The seat heater is electrical and the ac is basically just blowing cold air up through the cushion.

    Is there no elements on that back?

      There is but it always seems to be the bottom that needs replaced

    Did you seat back heater quit working too?

    • @justthetipgarage5305

      It did and I fixed it myself in this video. I haven’t had any issues with it since.

      Ok just see you replacing the bottom not the back one.

    • @justthetipgarage5305
      @justthetipgarage5305  4 місяці тому

      Oh got ya i misunderstood. No in my case the back one was fine. The bottom always goes out and they both will stop working. When you replace the bottom they both should work.

      Ok cool. I plan on tackling mine. I’ll may go ahead and replace my cushion while I’m at it.

    Ford quoted 1200 for this 😂

      Yea by the book it takes a while to remove the dash. Etc. this way you don’t have to do that.

      @@justthetipgarage5305 why would you need to remove the dash?

      Haha sorry I have another video of a blend door motor and assumed this was the video. You don’t need to remove the dash for a seat heater replacement. And honestly $1200 is crazy for this repair.

      @@justthetipgarage5305they mentioned that there is also a heater in the back rest I can’t find any videos on that is it much different than the bottom?

    • @justthetipgarage5305
      @justthetipgarage5305  9 місяців тому

      There is one in the back rest but it’s never that one that goes bad. But yea same process.
