    you should show how you wired it to have it separated for back only and back and seat. I would be interested in seeing that. Thanks

    My sister's 2012 Subaru has heated seats while my 2016 Tacoma does not lol. This is a very cool product and I might be picking one up for the driver seat since I rarely have passengers....

    How did you wire your own style switch in? I’m trying to figure out how to wire this kit to an OEM Toyota seat heater switch.

    Hey I'm not a car guy at all. I watch your channel just cuz I enjoy your reviews. I have found myself in a pinch automotively and I figured there was no harm in asking your advice. I have a 2002 Nissan Xterra that I plan to keep for life. You can mock this at your will. I have put a great deal of work into making this a stealth overlanding vehicle. Recently I've had water intrusion and a horrible mold problem to which I am terribly allergic. I've got a detailer working on it but the headliner is shot. I'm getting quotes all over the place. I'm a pretty mechanical guy, is this the kind of job one can DIY? Do you think it's possible some of these cheesy aftermarket headliners like with the stars might actually be cheaper than OEM? Any particular brands you suggest or you suggest I avoid? I feel like a shmuck asking after my personal needs on an unrelated video, but my trusted mechanic has retired and I don't know anyone I trust who is knowledgeable about cars.

      After a moment's thought it occurred to me that you probably have a patreon. I would be happy to give you something to make it right for what that's worth. Incidentally, is there such thing as an aftermarket seat cooler? My back sweats on every road trip regardless of temperature

    • @1D10CRACY
      @1D10CRACY  2 роки тому

      Unfortunately I don't have a lot of headliner experience to be able to make any suggestions. I did replace the headliner fabric on an Eagle Wagon once by removing the old and gluing on the new using 3M headliner fabric glue, but sadly it didn't stay attached. That was many moons ago and I'd bet the headliner glue technology has since changed, or I'd hope. As far as a seat cooler, there are after market kits and they can be expensive. The really good ones use peltier junction cooling modules. These will heat and cool the air based on polarity. I thought about installing them in the truck I've been working on but I was afraid all the dust and dirt my service trucks sees would cause the fans to prematurely fail. An nope, I don't have a patreon, I started doing videos on UA-cam as a fun hobby and the little bit of money the videos make from the views keep the hobby moving forward. :D Here is a video on seat ventilation. ua-cam.com/video/66JSqDfw46w/v-deo.html

    I just purchased a brand new massage chair that’s supposed to have a heated seat feature but apparently it’s not radiant. Heat doesn’t really work well at all. Do you think I can add something like this to my massage chair and it works?

    Oh yeah, I have one other car question. What the hell, I've already thrown my hat in the ring. I have a 2014 BMW i3 Rex that I am adapting for a wheelchair to replace the passenger seat. The sizing works out perfectly. This car has an absurd number of airbags. There is a wire loom under the passenger seat with no visible connectors, it goes straight into what I believe is the explosive pack for some airbags. I presume there is a connector hidden under the carpet which will become exposed when I unbolt the seat, you can see a strain relief in place. Are there any special procedures I should know about handling this? I don't expect you to know if there's a connector on my specific vehicle, but do you have some general advice working around airbags? Do you think the BMW will go haywire with the seat removed? I have been strangely lucky, it has not required any service yet. I would like to keep it that way, I am familiar with the stereotypes and I'm a poor. There were crazy rebates that literally made it the cheapest car to own for me, I have the cheapest electricity in the country. I would never consider a BMW otherwise

    • @Wesleystewart78
      @Wesleystewart78 2 роки тому

      When messing with airbags or their wiring always have the battery disconnected and have it sit that way for more than 30 minutes before touching it as for The seat you might have to get dummy connectors to make it think the seat is there and the seatbelt is "on"/ buckled you can also find them for making the car think the airbag is there if you want to remove them

    • @jpsimon206
      @jpsimon206 2 роки тому

      @@Wesleystewart78 this is very helpful advice thank you very much. The card in question is an electric vehicle, presumably the airbags are actuated by the 12-volt system, but I'm not certain and there is very high voltage wiring throughout the car that intimidates me. Do you know if there is a way to temporarily disconnect the car's main battery pack?

    • @jpsimon206
      @jpsimon206 2 роки тому

      @@Wesleystewart78 and when you say I might need dummy connectors, is this just to prevent an error from popping up? Or is it possible the car would refuse to drive?
