Kevin is amazing and has been such a joy to me and my son. We tune in every day and watch him. He has emailed me a few times and always replying to my comments. The knife doctor as he calls his channel is our favorite channel. No offense meant by that I just found you because I saw the title. Anybody that he likes I will enjoy to I am sure of it. I just received my Victorinox to replace the one I couldn't find. Got it on Ebay & seller sent me a little one like that with it. Thought that was real nice of them. Have a great day

@2ndchancegeorge Booom just found it. It was in back zipper of a pouch I was making up to put in my truck. That's ok it is a 91mm & the new one is 84mm. 84 is better in pocket. Take care

Fieldmaster has phillips screwdriver, Huntsman has cork screw. Both have scissors and a saw.

I bought a fish knife from Marbles or Rough Ryder that has hook sharpener on it, copper bolsters

Good morning George ! Watched Blade man 175 and he mentioned you so I thought I would have a peek. lol .
I play with 2 x 74 not serious but have done restoration on mostly fixed blade knives. Simple stuff… man I love those 3M scotch brite belts !!! I was buying them by the boxes at the blade show… then somebody told me you know you can wash those!!! The only thing about washing them after about six or eight washing they do tend to come apart 😂watch out ! I play a round with old pressed metal toy trucks that are 2 feet long ,,, stripping n redo when they are in bad shape ( junk) trucks from the 1920 n 30 ‘s
From Ohio not far from Cleveland ( home of White motor company) so I mainly gravitate to those trucks…
But getting off track.. I’ve been a regular viewer and long subscriber of Kevin’s channel.. so I’m acquainted with him.. but I got more time on my hands now post knee surgery.. and somehow I’m starting to find all these knife channels!!!!

George, for "trudging" purposes (to use your wonderful terminology), these things are great and, over time, the things you will come to be most grateful for in trudging situations are a sharp knife blade, the scissors, and the tweezers. The lack of the latter two especially will make your life miserable away from civilization. Certainly things like the can opener and your favorite, the screwdriver, have their place, but less and less so the farther you go into the wilderness.

George victorinox or opinel.which one do you use more .which one is better.
Goid question, I whittle with the molded opinels I have, for work the SAK. I am finding that I carry the SAKs more all the time and addvthe opinels when out doors. The Victorinox are the best made folding knives I own. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching, be safe out there
