    Micro needling is done for maintaining and supporting anti aging . As we get older our skin needs much more maintenance then when we where younger. This procedure is perfect and cost effective.

      Why is it sometimes used it antibalding?

    • @dontcallmebaby
      @dontcallmebaby 9 місяців тому +7

      @@Mistyvoices it stimulates hair growth just as in this video it stimulates collagen. You have to “damage” the epidermis for it to begin reproduction of collagen to heal it.. therefore stimulating collagen for your face, skin and hair! As we get older, collagen production in our bodies drastically reduces… using something like this helps produce it.

    Hi Dr. Pen, can you clarify the safety of using a dragging motion when needling? Ive seen a lot of people say that you should be lifting the pen up and going to another area instead of left/right dragging?

    • @gretavains8707
      @gretavains8707 Рік тому +5

      I would believe you are not dragging the skin. The speed is fast. That's my interpretation. Anyhow going to do it now. And I certainly not trusting anymore doctors etc....costing thousands of dollars. I am doing all this for under one thousand dollars😊.

    • @jillwalsh2664
      @jillwalsh2664 11 місяців тому +13

      You are correct, the dragging of the pen is not the way to carry out needling the pen should be 'stamped' onto the skin, stamp, lift move to next section! Less damage and no risk of scratching the skin by dragging, I've noted a lit of UA-camrs demonstrate the technique for needling incorrectly.

      I have mix of ice pick, round, box like scars on my face.
      I purchased dermastamp for microneedling.
      What should be used:
      1. before stamping to clean dermaroller/dermastamp and face?
      2. same day on face after stamping/microneedling session?
      3. next day onwards after the stamping/microneedling session?
      4. Can we use Retinol/Tretinoin, Vit c, Hyaluronic acid, Glycolic acid, icing etc. next day onwards after dermarolling/microneedling?
      Please recommend generic products instead of something that I can get only with a certain brand.
      You can suggest the brand along with the generic product.
      Thanks in advance (:

    Is anyone able to explain what appeared to be a *_dragging_* motion of the pen across her face? I was of the understanding that this was a no-no as doing so would create tears rather than punctures or "channels."

    Are we supposed to see bleeding for best results? I see alot of people bleed from use but I use depth of 1.0 on forehead with 42 needle cartridge and don't have any bleeding. The only bleeding occurs on my nose with a deeper depth. Should I go deeper overall for pinprick bleeding? Thank you!

      The blood is there as a marketing thing, you should never have to go that deep. The needle depths she suggests are correct. Minimal blood is ok

      Hi there, you are most welcome! aftercare protocol is very important and you must be careful about which ingredients and products you use on your skin so not all masks will be suitable. We wrote a great blog post that covers all of this and more! You can read it here: go.drpen.com.au/aftermicroneedling

      Hi there! Thank you so much, you are so welcome. You can microneedle once every 4-6 weeks. If you would like to incorporate other types of skin needling (such as nano needling with a special nano cartridge) you can find all of the info you need in this helpful article: go.drpen.com.au/differencesexplained 💕

    Does anyone use a serum other than HA? My skin is already well hydrated and I'd love to get some additional benefits from my at home needling. Anyone use serums with peptides or anything else?
