Just found you. BEST microneedling video ever! Thank you so much. I was using a Dr. Pen for 3 years but JUST bought the new A6S when my old one lost power. I was not using the stamping technique as I hadn't known anything about it. My new pen will be here in a few days and I plan to follow your tutorials! Many, many thanks!

I’m a 48 year old guy and no idea about skin care etc but signs of aging have caught up with me and decided to do something about it. I have been using serums for around a year now and have finally got my head around their uses, layering them and the list goes on.
I came across micro needling and thought here we go again something else to figure out, but your videos have given me the confidence to give it a go. Your explanation of all the 3 uses nano, cosmetic and medical are simply the best on You Tube. Just want to say a BIG THANKS for your time and passion in making your tutorials and I found your explanation of the pen depth settings and what to expect in terms of initial redness of the skin and post aftercare.
Have you ever thought of making a video aimed at men? All the best from Yorkshire, England. ❤

Hi, I absolutely love reading your comment! I’m really glad that some of my videos have been helpful to you. I can only imagine that the skincare world must be confusing to a man. My husband, who sees me put on all kinds of serums and creams, still shakes his head, after being together for 13 years :-)
I could definitely make a video for men, if you think that would be helpful.
In the meantime, though, I truly think one of the most important things you can do is to use sunscreen on a daily basis. I wish I would have done so much sooner, but even existing some damage can be somewhat repaired with continuous sunscreen use

Thank you for your quick response and encouraging words.
I think a mention in your amazing videos about needling and how it could benefit male skin too would definitely widen your audience. Even us English Cavemen (it wouldn’t be admitted) do like to take care of ourselves and the rise in male grooming products/interventions is just as equal to that if females here in the UK - it’s certainly different from when I was in my 20’s!
You will be pleased to know I always wear a factor 50 every day and what ever the weather, u fortunately I was a sun worshiper in my younger days and the damage is now starting to show - I wish I could talk to my younger self!

I tried the stamping with my doctor pen for my cosmetic needling. I like it. Especially at the tight spaces like around the mouth, and on the 11’s, and above the brows. Your tip for under the eyes was very helpful too. Ciao Bella, it is really great to hear from you, thank you so much for your sweet comment. I am glad this video was helpful. Regarding radio, frequency, microneedling, unless you have a specific device, doing the two separately at home is not going to give you the same results as an office. The radio frequency has to be delivered through the needles to be as effective as an office treatment. You can buy those devices for at home, but they’re quite expensive. I would also be really careful with this treatment, because I do think there is a risk of facial fat loss. Sending you lots of love.

I had seen somewhere that you can also apply Vaseline afterwards. Is that okay, or just hyaluronic acid and a day cream? Kind regards from Germany.

I do the little squares technique where you cover a small square of skin vertically, horizontally then diagonally. I like the look of this as it seems to have less drag on the skin. Just to check- do you still do a cosmetic needle one week after your medical one or do you leave it a bit longer?

I have seen somewhere that you could use micro-needling on the body as well. Examples were to reduce cellulite in legs and buttocks and in areas where you have lax skin from a procedure. What are your thoughts on this?
What would you say is the best device to use, pen or roller? What would be an ideal needle length? I imagine areas with cellulite would need 1-2.
Lastly, recommended pen speed and pin number for moat effective results?
    Great content, thanks!

    • @claudiaglows

yes, you can def. do it on the body
i think for the body, the easiest device to use would be a dermaroller

I've been doing more cosmetic needling than medical just because there is so little down time, especially when I use my red light afterwards 🙂 I had a couple of questions...1. Have you heard of or tried the Medicube booster- H? It's supposed to be for product penetration & I was wondering how it compares to cosmetic needling since both are mostly for product penetration. I'd love to hear your thoughts 2. How long does the Calcium professional serum last before it goes bad? I was thinking about trying it w/ the Qure micro-infusion system but I wasn't sure how long the serum would stay fresh & it's too expensive to let it go bad. Thanks for all your lovely videos!

    • @claudiaglows
      @claudiaglows  2 місяці тому

thank you for your very kind comment. Cosmetic needling uses a needle length of 0.2-.03 mm. The needles pierce the outer layer of the skin but do not enter the dermis. It helps with product penetration and a little bit with collagen (some say)
Nano needling actually does not use needles but tiny cone shaped cylinders, that help to break up the cells of the outer layer of the skin for product penetration. So basically both help with product penetration, but nano is very superficial and does not involve piercing the skin, vs cosmetic needling is a bit deeper.
      I hope this helps

I try to have acne medication for over 10 years with the same cycle of medication with no way out. Thus, there must be something fishy about the method. Changes has been made by applying cream that recovery my skin barrier as HYA, Niacinamide and use RF home device weekly to boost skin remedy. Hi Claudia. First, this is a great tutorial on MN. I wanted to ask about prepping your face and how you clean the skin in preparation. I saw some people use alcohol wipes but that looks incredibly drying. Is just cleansing your skin with a good cleanser how you do the preparation before MN? I’m referring to cosmetic MN. Thanks :)

      Hi Gillian
I agree with you, alcohol on my skin does not seem appealing
For cosmetic needling, while you need to have clean skin, it does not have to be sterile
I double cleanse my skin before cosmetic needling

Hi Claudia informative and instructional videos which brand of the thermostat as well as the dermapen would you recommend for someone doing these procedures at home?
Also I'm not sure if you've done these videos already however I had a appreciate if you did some videos on how you would approach the medical microneedling under the chin the neck chest area as well as under the eyes eyebrows Etc thank you for your time in creating these videos. You're a blessing🙏🏾

Hi, thank you so much for your lovely comment. I actually have a whole playlist on micro needling, and in that you will find how I personally do the neck and around the eyes. If you go to my channel page, there is a option for playlists where you can also find videos on shorts. Click on that and then click on micro needling. Please let me know if you cannot find it. Personally, I use a Dr pen as well as Dr stamp. They have many different models of pens, you really can’t go wrong with any of them.

Hi Claudia I have been reviewing the list of the I believe 14 videos on microneedling however I did not see a video dedicated to how to medically microneedle the neck and chest area . If you could let me know the title of the video that it's under I would really appreciate it .

If you could please include the link in the reply then I could access the video directly so that I can view it . Also what Dr pen would you advise that I purchased as I'm just starting out with this process? I know you mentioned you have two different Dr pins however I believe you prefer the one that's I believe aqua for the colour, Dr Pen A6s. Thank you

Hi Claudia, I hope all is well!
My Dr. Pen device only works while the power cord is plugged in. It doesn't work with the battery. I wondered if you wouldn't mind instructing me on how to activate the battery. I have followed the instruction booklet, but the batter is not working.
Many thanks in advance for taking the time to answer my request!

So the battery needs to be charged first. Once charged it should be good for several sessions. Did you try to charge it and it does not charge?

In it I talk about all the do's and don'ts of microneedling, including when to use retin a again. But in a nutshell, it really depends on the depth. How deep did you go?

    Hi Claudia!
Thank you again for amazing content!
So I did the stamping technique on my face. I went to 2.0mm on my cheeks, nose and chin. And 1.5 on my forehead. I used the dexacell even tho I don’t really need slip.
But I was getting tired. So for my neck and Dec I did little tiny circles and I used the dex there. When I was finally finished I used the Alastin all over.
Do you think this was a good protocol in terms of which products I used?
Skin feels so soft right now. I’m going to hit my BioMaxx RL/NIR panels too.
    Thank you. ❤

Hello Claudia, Its always so enjoyable to watch your videos.
What would we women do without your great help 🥰
Regarding the Cos de Baha pure hyaluronic acid serum, do you know if this product is STERILE?
I watched another UA-cam channel about microneedling and it was specified to only use sterile hyaluronic acid serums, to avoid infections or granulomas.
Maybe I am overly "picky" but I just want to be sure that this specific product is ok.
Also, would this Cos De Baha be ok to use for 1mm needle depth? My jowls wrinkles and neck wrinkles are really bad.
thank you for all that you do and for your helpful suggestions.

    • @claudiaglows
      @claudiaglows  5 місяців тому

Hi Sonja, thank you for your kind words. No, it is not a sterile product as it comes in a dropper bottle. If you want sterile, you need to get something that comes in a one time use vial.
But yes, it can be used to needle 1mm deep
      xx
