It's great to see you back at your best! You definitely are keeping busy and putting out some great information! We met at the last audio advice live and one thing I can say is that you are as friendly as your videos. Keep up the good work!
I ordered a copy of the spatial audio calibration kit this past Friday. Was very excited to receive it today but unfortunately the case was missing the dvd 😢
Buckeye amps use class D modules from Hypex and Purifi both of which were created by Bruno Putzeys. High performing amps at an exceptional value. The owner of Buckeye, Dylan Launder, is a one man show so it’s a little waiting period to get them. They come in pretty basic cases but you can customize them and even have them put in rack mount cases. I have a Purifi 3-ch and Hypex NC252 8-ch in my setup. Huge upgrade in that the amps are extremely quiet in standby compared to my old Outlaw 7140. Also being Class D means they are roughly 90% efficient compared to Class AB which translates to lighter components (no more 50lb+ amps) and much less heat is generated during operation. Can’t say enough good things about them. They get pretty high marks from AudioScienceReview too.
helo techno dad.....i have a question regarding mastering of dolby atmos tracks on cubase or any other daw.....like when I master my stereo songs I put mastering plugin on stereo out.....m confused my atmos mixes are very silent.....how can I master them in cubase.....i mean where should I put the mastering plugin or there is some special procedure for mastering the atmos mixes....plz reply m very frustrated. 😢
@@TechnoDad indeed I agree....but the problem is the dolby atmos album assembler is only available on mac and not on windows which is a big shame to DOLBY....hope they release it for windows also 😢
It only works by Passthrough for me and that’s if your Xbox is plugged into the receiver. I have a Hisense U6K and Series X. I had to plug my Xbox into my Sony Receiver (supports DTS:X) and set it to that audio format in the settings. Tested out Ironman and it played in IMAX Enhanced with DTS:X. I did this the day of launch but it that was the only way I could get it to work for me. I tried the app on the tv but it doesn’t work with/without eArc. I also have an LG soundbar in my room and that worked the same way. The only slight issue for me is I don’t like using Passthrough with my Xbox lol I get VRR when it’s plugged directly into my tv.
I have the spatial audio calibration disc and really like it. I just purchased an Onkyo rz50 with Dirac. It doesn't let me adjust the speaker delay after running dirac. Is there a workaround?
@TechnoDad I tried that but it still won't let me. I reset the receiver and adjusted the delays, but when I run dirac, it changes everything, and I can't go back to the changes I made even when I turn dirac off. I don't know if something is wrong with the receiver, or that's just how it is. I love the disc and appreciate your response. Thanks

Yeah, you can't do that with Atmos. It's pretty lame, but if you get the Dolby Atmos Album Assembler, you can now use a limiter and EQ on the ADM.

I have an external blu-ray writer, and I was wondering if you could help me confirm or deny, if that drive can be modded to copy 4k discs?
I'm not sure how to tell...
@@TechnoDad ok

Turn Dirac off and you should be able to manually calibrate at that point.

I’m in the US & don’t even see the Queen concert on Disney+
Is it releasing on a different date?
Thank You
Figured it out - under my profile I had the tv-ma option blocked 😊
Oh wow...didn't even know that was a setting!
Why do you need a TV to use DTS X ? If you run the Apple TV to the AVR first then to TV it will process DTS X rite?
It only works on TVs so far...some say it works on Xbox Series X, but I can't get mine to work.
No apple pay, no buy cd. Why do i have to create another account to buy the CD…
x box has dtsx and i max would it work
