I was looking at the window, in the warming room and perhaps it might be an idea to put a second internal window in while you can as a kinda double glazing so you don't lose too much heat through the void and through the glass.
there is an insulated finish to come and actually around the window has been insulated behind what you can see on the video. the void is also closed off once everything is finished.
I know it was a long time in the planning and you have done an amazing job! That said there are always things that will crop up during a build, as you say "it is what it is" and you just have to get over it and move on! Really looking forward to seeing the rooms complete so you can you get your extraction line in and up and running. :) You must be pinching yourself with delight as i think the finish line is in sight 🙂
You've overlooked one major issue with the warming room. If you fart on a Monday it will still be warm on a Wednesday but noone will be able to enter till Friday 😂
@richardnoel3141 on a serious note, yes I'm sure the honey house has cost a small fortune but it will streamline so save you so much time and back breaking effort. The time that saves gives so much more time with nucs and sorting colonies you'll be able to run so many more. And let's face it everyone is watching with jealous eyes but wishing you all the best.
@@Cubriderthat is the general idea. You said it all. When you need to be in the apiaries in the spring you also need to extract. If that’s a whole lot easier and efficient and you can hold the honey for a few days then extract quickly, you see why for me it’s a good investment. It’s all about being efficient, reducing risks and having more time with the bees 🙌☑️
Normally the damp proof membrane is below the slab and is a much thicker material than that flimsy stuff that was put there, it was way too thin to be practical.
great job, is looking...majestic! forgive my asking but does your climate require that you install air conditioning in the extraction room or at the mezzanine?
@@pomicultorul it would be lovely but we have windows to open. It may have to come later but yes I suppose yes is the answer! All is possible as where it might be required is all accessible to fit later
@@richardnoel3141 good to know that the upgrade is possible! your work ethics puts most of us to shame but even so It would be fantastic for you to get some help (perhaps a trainee) to fully take advantage of the new infrastructure.

Great looking trailer.
What a transformation!!

@@PinkettsHoney I do that every day. I feel very fortunate!
Wow! Just Wow! Can't wait to see it finished!

Your facility looks amazing
It's just fantastic Richard thank you for letting see this brilliant
Cheap to heat, nice and cool in the summer. .and very easy to keep clean, especially when the floors sealed.

that is an extremely valid point!!

Bulk honey storage? 30-50 bbl tank???
Fantastic shed 👏
It's going to make your life a lot better. I'd just be glad of some garage space as a workshop lol. I'm still using the kitchen for extraction.
Sometimes people hold a vacuum cleaner behind the grinder blade as they are cutting.
Works great 👍🏼
Maybe the plastic was like a damp proof membrane? Either way it’s not a big deal mate.
You guys are doing a mega job.

How's the bees, Richard? What's the mite counts like? Don't forget winter is coming.
Looks fantastic 🎉
