You deserve praise for two major things: turning a 14th century song into a videoclip that tells a story that Binchois himself would approve. Second and foremost, you used extremely accurate clothings, setting, furniture... and even the situations (dancing, gestures, etc). This is as educational as should be: history on the move, who makes people think about what are those "strange things" they're seeing and listening too... and making them prone to search about it. That's the way historical music is meant to be played. Bravo!
Left handed lutist, though. He would probably have been burned at the stake as a Devil’s Apostle. Sometimes the good, ol’ days were not so good for everybody!
The clothes! I'm so happy this was suggested to me. I knew it was going to be good when I saw that herringbone wool pattern in the close up at the start. I also love how there's humor integrated into the plot. Just because it's medieval it doesn't mean it must be dour and grim!
Beautiful across the board: the music, the videography, the costumes... It leaves me wishing for more! Imagine if Hollywood, Netflix, etc. cared about achieving this level of historical accuracy. Bravo & grand merci!
This is like Medieval MTV. This is awesome! Keep up the wonderful work you guys are doing. I pray you can do more medieval music videos like this. Any possibility of making a Medieval Christmas video?
I cannot get over how perfect this is. It captures the spirit of the troubadour and the medieval narrative style so perfectly. This video and performance are art.
This is one of the most beautiful music videos I have ever seen. Its simple innocence in telling a story from the medieval period just can't be said enough.
C'est Magnifique! My fav video of yours has vanished! There was something that popped up on that video about "UA-cam Kids" and I could no longer save it to my play list. Strange. That was two or three days ago. Now that video has completely vanished from UA-cam. It's the video that shows all of you recording the song in studio in normal attire, as well as well as in Medieval attire for the video performance. Hands down my new fav song!! But it's gone?!
A very famous musician, singer and composer in Brazil (Renato Russo), created the modern version of this song using only the instrumental in reference to medieval times. The song is called "A Ordem dos Templários" by the band "Legião Urbana" of which he was a member. I like both the modern version and the original!
rarely seen such well performed music combined with such a exciting and well made visual story with so much humor and authenticity at the same time. It was a joy to watch and listen.
Brawo!
This is awesome, both the the interpretation of the song and the clip. When you guys show up on screen it's like a painting, it's so so cool ! Great job 👏
That was an amazing rendition with beautiful voice, instruments and poem by de Machaut as lyrics. I especially like that you have decided to wear historically accurate clothes and made a narratively interesting clip. Subscribed and am certainly waiting for more songs like this!
Oh, this is one of my favourites medieval songs. You perform it beautifully - quite dramatically too! The wonderful garments add to the atmosphere of the story expressed by the images. Lovely.❣
At first I was like "what the heck are they singing, I don't understand a thing" (I'm French), then I opened the lyrics and read them as I listened to your song, and it was actually pretty good! Well done!! Thank you for this great song, great costumes ❤🙏
Amazing! One of the best renditions of Douce Dame Jolie out there, I love the jolly and mirthful tune here despite the spooky video! Also, the costumes are lovely all too, I love chaperone hats as well as the bliauts and veils of the women.

looks like period accurate instruments as well.
We try to keep our look and music historically consistent. We are very pleased that you appreciate our work.🥹 Take care!
I was looking at the hair coverage. Soo many period pieces want to have a lady's hair showing or even down. Then you capped the men as well. Bravo.
@@andyoli75 Thank you! 😊

As a french reenactor, it's a pleasure to see such a good interpretation of Guillaume de Machaut ! You honor our culture and our medieval legacy.
As a historical re-enactor from a late 14th century early 15th century group that values accuracy above all else I absolutely love this !
Awww thank you! We are very glad ❤️😊

Это великолепно! Костюмы, музыка, исполнение на высоком уровне. И, главное, аутентичность. Благодаря клипу можно понять содержание песни. Спасибо!
I would like this video to be a time portal.

Good job ! C'est du français médiéval. Un Français d'aujourd'hui aura du mal à lire et à comprendre ce texte !
Pas tant que ça en fait .....ça se comprend plutôt bien.
