Bear has nothing to be ashamed of. 199 sealed his own fate. No one to blame but himself. We need a sequel with him as a ghost. But instead of Bear being frightened he gains closure.
What a chilling story. Bear shouldn't have to feel any guilt. D199 chose his path and he made the decision to be horrible and not learn anything. So really it was his own fault he was scrapped. I wonder if there will be a follow up story of one of the others telling Bear it wasn't his fault for D199's demise.
Okay... Wasn't expecting this story during Christmastime. Ah, what the heck, I'll take it! 😁 That growl sounded like it came from the Hound of the Baskervilles...
Seems expected that D199 would blame someone else for his demise rather than himself. That haughty attitude got him in trouble to begin with. Same with his brother, Old Stuck Up. Bear shouldn’t feel guilty but of course it is never easy to lose an old “friend “.
Bear has no reason to feel guilty in this instance, 199 did that to himself and proved what kind of personality he had, he never would’ve changed if he still held onto something like this and still blamed others for his own faults
=The fault was never yours, Bear. 1999 sealed his own fate, both with his attitude, and with how quickly he changed tracks from being begging, to spiteful. He was never your friend, and he can burn in the forges.=
This is amazing. Keep up the great work. Bear shouldn't have anything to be guilty about. It is all Spamcan's fault due to his rude and disrespectful attitude. He deserves to be scrapped. This would make a great Halloween tale
This could be a great running story. Having 199’s ghost actually haunt Bear for a long time. Or just the guilt, but an actual ghost would be way more fun
Bear.. buddy.. chum, pal. You have absolutely nothing to be a shamed about. You are a very kind and hardworking engine, who has earned the hearts of many. 199 on the other hand was horrid by choice, it shows. You are not to blame for his death. 199 was trying to guilt trip, manipulate and blame you for his faults. He was never your friend. Let him melt, and with time, forget him. perhaps… if you need someone to talk to, i know the other engines and fat controller are willing to lend you an ear. You’re a good engine bear. Stay kind. And may 199 be melted for the forges.
Oh man. I feel extremely bad for Bear. The whole thing of Diesel 199 blaming Bear for 199's future being taken away sounds dark. I can also imagine the song JUST ABOUT OVER YOU by PRISCILLA BLOCK playing during the end of the episode when Bear goes home to Sodor and when he is spending many sleepless nights thinking about the night he met 199.
a very interesting story about Bear's former friend. I Think D199 was a really Devious Diesel as he called Bear by his BR number and not by the name given to him by the Fat controller
"Enjoy the guilt" "Enjoy the consequences of your spiteful life" I'd never wish the scrapping/death of an engine, even one like Spamcam, Diesel 10, and other bad engines but I know that I wouldn't feel guilty about it because I'd leave their rate and soul up to God. Life is precious but there are consequences to the abuse of it
given how D199 was a character created by the Rev A this has the feel of a Bible story about two Diesel locos. I guess it falls to Wilbert to decide on the fate of Bear's old friend
There are plenty of other obscure RWS characters besides D199 and 1020 who could make excellent ghost characters! Class 52 is an example his / her fate is never known after the Stepney books; 52 was only seen with Diesel 701 and Stepney!
It was a good thing that Ary and Bert The Scrap Diesel Engine Twins weren't there to take Bear The Green Diesel Engine to the smelter's yard to have the grabber scrap him and say, "Bye! Bye! Bear!"
Spamcan deserves to be scrapped, he has no right to be here and be so rude and disrespectful to Bear, I don’t like his attitude and never will! Anyway that is chilling!
Great Halloween story, leaves a cliffhanger with Oliver, D199 has being rotten even after his fate, Piece of rubbish. Bear didn't even due anything so he shouldn't have guilt at all.
This was good man, but the ending was rather abrupt. Not the story but the way it was edited. A long drawn out cut to black with credits would be have been DOPE. Either way amazing job! ❤
even if Bear did want to do anything he couldnt its not right for him to suffer for somthing thats beyond his controll espeshily when the points were jammed agenst him and further more that sad excuse of a diesle that pleaded to be rescued set in motion there own demise with there rotten additude while yes bear did not act upon such things bear is even more right becase as he said if he changed he wouldnt need some one to plea for there second chanse u can blame others for the actions you take
I think he meant not D199 specifically, but the diesels overall. And what they did I think is their hunt for Oliver when he was escaping to Sodor, but that’s just my thought.
Think about how Percy got scared of the owl sound effect first, and the dragon second while he had to stay overnight while the signal switch was broken before it was fixed by morning time
Spamcan deserves to be scrapped, because his class are outdated and getting too expensive to run & maintain, also he deserves it for being disrespectful to the steam engines, especially the ones on the North Western Railway. He'll be suffering the same fate as the steam engines did.
First, Percy had to stay overnight while the signal switch needs to be fixed by morning, and second Bear needs to stay overnight while the signal switch needs to be mended by morning time
What if Ary and Bert The Scrap Diesel Engine Twins and Diesel 10 The Brown Scrap Diesel Engine were there to scrap Bear while he is stuck on the jammed signal switch staying overnight while it needs to be fixed by morning time?
i mean as messed up as 199 is i would of still tried to help him. because it just seems messed up to just watch your old friend get pulled to his death even if he was messed up.
While it may be sad to see an engine head to its fate. Bear should not be ashamed. 199 sealed his fate with his horrid attitude On a side note, where did you get that RWS Style model of Stanley you used in that photographer episode? I’ve tried search the sites but couldn’t find it.

This.
I'm sick to death of jumpscares. It's possible for horror to exist without that rubbish.
Bear has nothing to be ashamed of. 199 sealed his own fate. No one to blame but himself. We need a sequel with him as a ghost. But instead of Bear being frightened he gains closure.
D199s voice acting was absolutely perfect! As was this whole adaptation
I wonder this too!
Wait he got scrapped?
@@Typicalmarksman8958 sounds like it
Survivor's guilt is not a rational feeling, but it is a common one.
The raw emotion in 199 shook me to my core
It's always great when a Revolutionist gets a slap in the face from the Top Brass at BR
Bear really has it rough with ghostly encounters with old dean Morris a ghost of a dead workman and now with spamcan/D199
The "F*ck off and enjoy the video!" Never gets old.
😆 🤣 😂 😹
Okay... Wasn't expecting this story during Christmastime. Ah, what the heck, I'll take it! 😁
That growl sounded like it came from the Hound of the Baskervilles...
D199 was his own worst enemy. Bear has nothing to bear any guilt or responsibility. The pompous diesel did that to himself.
The beginning section of each video always puts a suttle smile on my face.🎩 Great video. I like the routes and the story in it's entirety.🚂
Very good! FantasticMrS does a fantastic job of narrating this. Really adds to the overall atmosphere of this episode.
Seems expected that D199 would blame someone else for his demise rather than himself. That haughty attitude got him in trouble to begin with. Same with his brother, Old Stuck Up. Bear shouldn’t feel guilty but of course it is never easy to lose an old “friend “.
Whatever happed to D199 exactly?
@@misfitwxlter6033 All that was said in the book was that he was sent back to the Mainland. Nothing else beyond that.
having "friend" in quotes makes a whole lot of sense considering Bear and Spamcan's relationship here seems rather toxic if not outright abusive.
Bear has no reason to feel guilty in this instance, 199 did that to himself and proved what kind of personality he had, he never would’ve changed if he still held onto something like this and still blamed others for his own faults

Ah geez! Between this and the spirit on the viaduct, poor Bear can’t catch a break! What’s next, another run-in with Old Dean Morris?

4:19 - Well done Bear. Spamcan got what he deserved.
The growl in spamcans voices kind of startled me but over all 100/10 keep up the good work
This could be a great running story. Having 199’s ghost actually haunt Bear for a long time. Or just the guilt, but an actual ghost would be way more fun
Wow! Amazing story! I think Bear made the right decision.
This episode should get a sequel and spamcan gets put in his place
i always get confused by the fat controller, does he want me to f off? or does he want me to enjoy the video?

That was because Bear got his name after Spamcan was sent packing.
I honestly felt bad for d199 when he was yelling for help
"Enjoy the guilt"
"Enjoy the consequences of your spiteful life"

Theory: what if the ghost diesel from percy and the ghost diesel vid is actually spamcam as a ghost?
The ghost diesel's a Bo+Bo. Spamcan's a 1Co+Co1.

Huh, never thought we'd see Spamcan on the chopping block
holy shit a shunters production video with voice actors??
They've had voice actors for a while now
I don’t think Bear is to blame, besides, Spamcan was very rude to the steamies and he kinda deserved it for being scrapped due to his attitude
3:38 Wait, he did what to Oliver?! 😡
He hunted him down and tried to scrap him, along with many other diesels.
Bear should know, one of the scrapyards is no place like home, especially the smelters yard.

Am I missing a previous story? Is there a video before this one?
I'm curious on what Spamcan did to Oliver. Hoping we see that story in future
The only complaint I have is that 7101's laugh didn't echo
