Stories about Dennis changing his ways always interest me but making it a spooky story makes it even better! Norman being Dennis' wake up call was perfect. Rest in Peace Norman
Best if there's no more of that to diesel antagoists. It's fine that way since in other stories, 'Arry and Bert remains like threating steam engines with scrap regardless of anything with no wake up calls at all.
Don't forget Diesel's ordeal after he deceived Boco in Cursed Coaches where Sir Topham Hatt taught him a lesson by sending him to the Killdane Ironworks. Perhaps the last story of Dudley the Vagrant Engine will involve Dudley crashing and Fat Hatt punishing him by making him shunt at the Killdane Ironworks after Stella's untimely demise (she's Edward's ghost engine from Scaredy Engines)
I sure am glad Dennis has learned his lesson about laziness - and for once, it finally stuck with him. Hopefully, someday, he’ll earn the respect, trust, and friendship of his coworkers.
I see that Dennis' replacement in the show did gave him a wake up call to work hard in this universe. A good story with these two. Even though in this continuity, Norman is scrapped and is now a ghost. A good way to give Dennis the motivation to work instead of being his usual lazy ways. Well done here.
I give credit to old Norman for giving Dennis some older brother pep talk. I don't know for sure how Norman appeared so vividly but I understand Dennis's reaction. If I remembered I had a pep talk with someone, only to find out they were a ghost and died a long time ago, I'd never get over it!
This is certainly one of the most interesting takes on Dennis and Norman’s relationship I’ve ever seen. I really enjoy this series, can’t wait to see more!
An interesting take on Dennis & Norman, if a rather unsettling one. Safe to say Dennis won't be forgetting this anytime soon if ever. Excellent work Rhen. :)
Idk why these types of Thomas stories just scratch an itch for me. I've always loved the darker tales of the show, which is why Duncan Gets Spooked is my favorite story from the entire franchise. This story shows how superior the fan-made content for Thomas is compared to what's being produced nowadays.
This story is a lot sadder than scary. Way to use Norman as a way to knock some sense into Dennis, and from the afterlife, no less. Would've been nice to have them interact in the show. Now you would've thought that Dennis would've been working with 'Arry and Bert. Those two would've given him no moment of peace. Two things here that make me wanna chuckle: using Diesel's theme for Dennis and the post credit commentary. 😆
I love how your stories are not horror stories, you have to think about what you just saw and then you realize ''Wow, that was really fucking dark and sad''
@@KiwiConductor oh sheesh, sorry to not credit you like that, I absolutely loved your performance! The part where the Barrow 08 asked him if he knew Norman and he replied "I...I guess" is a perfect example of the sort of, idek how to say it... It just makes Dennis feel so unique among the TTTE cast, and it really suits him. He sounds unsure but also bothered to have to think about it but also like he thinks he has to come up with a good answer even if it means kind of lying... I'm rambling but that part really stuck out to me 😂
Now something is in my mind, with my horror adaptation of Hero of the Rails in progress… I’m thinking about making a Dark Version of Tale of the Brave! And after that; I will make a Horror Adaptation of Day of the Diesels but with Den and Dart at the forefront! The two in this take… have something that not even the other diesels even know! It’s something very dark… they’ve been hiding since before their arrival on Sodor!
Got to be honest we were once lazy in our lives making any type of excuse just to do nothing at all and I won't find something that changed our lives and gave us a life lesson
Ghosts aren't real? You want bad karma? Otherwise don't go tempting fate. My mum thought she saw the silhouette of her uncle nearly 16 years ago who died from cancer in 2003

Well, imagine talking to your relatives that you didn't know that you have, who actually died months or even years ago. That is not bone-chilling level of scary, but rather skin-crawling level of scary when you finally learn that your supposed family member talked to you, months or years after their death
Norman should’ve also said this
“And what if one day you actually are sick but they do not believe you?”
Basically a boy who cried wolf situation.
This is a clever use for Norman, given he barely had anything to do in the official series.
Norman and Dennis interest me a lot because when people make story's about them it's always wanting to know how they would of met
I like to think their brothers

This story really could actually impact Dennis' personality.
First the Iron brothers (Arry and Bert) and now Dennis. Looks like these diesels are really going through alot with their wake up calls. 🚂

only ONE of Dennis' class was ever built, meaning Norman shouldn't technically exist, or vice-versa.
