@@MrEverythingEnglish hey sir are you doing an updated q5 today or do u teach it the same as your previous article question? Thanks alot for the hardwork sir walah your the only reason im goin colly
I wrote a paragraph using this structure. I timed it and it took be around ten minutes. If you have time Sir could you possibly give me some feedback? Thank you! ❤ The writer in source A found the experience in the mountains incredibly nerve wracking and painful, whereas the writer in source B enjoyed the experience once he became used to it. On lines 24 source A, the writer states “a wave of nausea and pain swept over me”. The use of this metaphor indicates that the horrible feeling of sickness and pain was so bad that he could only describe it as a “wave”. The noun “wave” also shows that the nausea and pain was huge and uncontrollable, just like how you can’t control a big wave at sea. Therefore, we can infer that the writer in source A felt so anxious and frightened during the experience in the mountains. However, while the writer in source A constantly felt fear through the experience, the writer in source B initially felt the same way but soon adapted; “presently it began to seem quite natural”. This ly adverb “presently” means that not long after starting he felt comfortable and completely safe in the mountains. The nerve wracking feeling and fearfulness had completely faded away. As a result, unlike the writer in source A, the writer in source B was able to enjoy and fully take in the beautiful experience in the mountains.
Pretty good paragrpah, if i was marking and you wrote 2-3 paragraphs similiar to this with the same level of analysis, you would gain around 19/24 marks, now i now that was a bit harsh, however please use the structure. point, evidence, explain, analyse, repeat. This would really help your grade to buff up no need to write line 24 source a, just write "In source A, the writer exemplifies x and y ( tone)" try to embed your quotations. e.g of embed quote "the writer wants the power to "visit and dominate his employees", connoting the conflict between the employee and employer. Your Welcome,
Salaam sir, Just wanna ask for this question do the techniques always have to be similar from both sources for each point in the way that you talked about listing from both sources, or can the 2 techniques in each paragraph be different ?
Ye it don’t really matter, you could probably go with much more subtle words and phrases like verbs and adjectives from both of you really wanted to, as long as the views are opposed.
can't we still find similarities between texts even if it says "different perspectives". Ive been taught that the word "compare" means we can find differences or similarities regardless whether or not the perspectives are similar or different
@@pearllyyys.740 but when it says "different" in the question, its just describing the writers' feelings and perspectives. The question doesn't specifically say "compare the differences...".
@@study-lq8bp that's true but what if the quote is structural and you need to show the whole quote to acctually talk about it. For example if it's a list
@@aayushmamgain4203 you can even just state a word from a quote the qoute itself isnt't a big deal just making sure you have some sort of evidence to prove your point from the source is all that matters and that your able to explain how that piece of evidence links to your point and the question :)
hey, just wondering what order do you think is the best ti answer all the questions in paper 2? I see may different teachers saying different things, which order do you think is the best?
I don't think it matter what features they use. They could use the same features however source A may reveal something different to source B. Your comparison focuses on their views towards whatever the question is focused on. Hope this makes sense.
Is it possible for Y10 to have their English Literature GCSE Paper? Because I have this one friend of mine he is in Y10 and he told me that he will do his Second Literature Paper because, he has already done his First one. I need someone to tell me if that is possible?
Kind of, it's because some schools split the English GCSEs in two. So in Y10 they do literature and in Y11 they do language and then they do both real GCSE exams at the end of Y11. Maybe he had his literature mocks at the end of Y10

I study as often as possible with building the many different kinds of sentence structures it takes most of my study time but I gather these learnings at it develops other thought areas with the many other element areas , in English learning which is not easy for me but I try and most students have no issues with learning it but it can be alot like algebraic for me at times and I thinks it's because I switch with subject learning in a day

Hello sir can you write about similarities and differences, or is it only one?
it will tell you in the question whether you explain the similarites or differences if it states neither then you may compare both.
so we write the comparison of both sources in 1 para, right ?
depends what it asks for if it does not say similarites or differences then you may compare both
