On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

what would be a cool video of me seeing you escorting bombers (any American bombers would be fine) during WW2, either you playing as a P-51 or a P-47, or you playing as the Germans. (and yes, I've been watching masters of the air.)

@@GrowlingSidewinder The way you had to change into close range to tell who you were shooting at was interesting. The other jets seem to be getting closer for fights, too.
Question: isn't the IFF button there for these situations?

My understanding of the F16 is that it lives at the limits of physics, given the material science of the time. That's a hard limit.
I would love more POV of the warhead if you can! Following the whole flight of a missile from wing to target is so great.
Bonus points for the red arrows on the target when we can't see due to UA-cam compression! Love the content, GS.
I really like seeing these larger scale missions with a lot of friendlies. It feels more legit. A four ship here, a four ship there, GS doing his Wildman thing over there...
Props to GS for sharing the missions on the latest few videos. It's awesome to be able to play the same scenarios and try different approaches

F-16, F-18, Eurofighter, F-35.... There are a lot of insanely good multi-role fighters.

@@kasper_429 some variants of the F-15 have some multi-role capability, yes. But the F-15 is far more heavily designed to be a dedicated Air Superiority Fighter, not a multi-role fighter.
@@LDSG_A_Team Yeah true, just like the 16 was designed for primarily air-to-air/dogfighting, and then adapted into being a multi-role fighter.
@@kasper_429 the production variant of the F-16 is a multi-role platform. The same can't be said for the F-15. The F-15E can be a good air to ground and CAS platform but it's air to air capabilities suffer as a result.

The F-15E/ or the new F-15EX is the most versatile of any combat fighter in my opinion. Most true for the latter because of electronic warfare capability. The Eagle platform has the highest payload, and the high pylon count and range makes it efficient in larger missions. It is very good at everything apart from stealth. But there is reason to believe that stealth is less important because of how good radar technology is becoming, rendering stealth aeroplanes less useful in normal warfare as of now. This is due to change and will probably be fluctuating back and forth forever almost infinitely until stealth is limited by material technology.
I can't be the only one who can't help but read "F-15EX" as "F-1SEX"... can I? Guys?

The F-16, despite its age, is the GOAT of jet fighters. Others have longer legs, heavier payloads, fancier data links. Yet, no other single or dual engine aircraft exceeds in form and function, the Viper. Thank you, Col Boyd, and your acolytes...the fighter mafia.

Could of did a IFF scan using TMS left short to get a IFF scan of ur whole radar, if they were friendly they would pop up green circles and if not nothing would come back. Could also do TMS left Long but that's line of sight mode!
if we're talking about single engine multi role I think the Jeff is up there, especially with its naval strike package. The 16C is great too.

Hey, I think it'd be cool if you'd put small notes in like the bottom of the screen to give a brief description of keywords, i.e Fox 1, 2, 3, Magnum, etc. for people who may not know what it is. I know you have a video going over this, but I think it'd be neat or somethin idk

Buying my first (and so far only) jet module in DCS was such a difficult decision between the Hornet and Viper. I chose the Hornet and, while I'm certainly not disappointed, sometimes I kinda ache for the Viper...
I know, I know... "just the get the Viper as well". Yeah, but... I only have room in my brain to learn one extremely complex multi-role fighter. Lol.

Considering we have an early 2000s F-16 in DCS, and the F-16 is still owning the battlefield to this day. I would assume it's a safe bet to say it's combat effective
