- UPDATE: Verizon (my carrier) delivered an operating system (OS) update that fixes the underlying issue I was having receiving text messages. This video may still help, but check for OS updates if you're having this issue.
This video walks you through how to clear your Android "Messages" app's cache and data (specifically, on a Galaxy S21 Ultra). This app's cache and data getting out of hand is a common cause of text messages not being received.

What if I am typing a link and it’s not being received by the other party?
Is anything being received by others and just not the link, or is nothing being received?
In my case it's just the links while other msgs (normal txt msgs without links) has been received. However it's been marked as sent but cannot be received by the recipient. How do I send links via txt msgs?

I have a question if I press clear data would it take away all my phone numbers I have saved, my phone number, or anything else? I don't want to lose that.
I've never heard of that happening. Also, the permanent fix is a cattier update (Verizon, AT&T, etc). This is only a temporary fix.

Will this delete all my text and everything in my data? I don't want everything to completely gone, because some text are important and can't be deleted right now.
It should not, or at least it it did not for me or others. The thing is, this remedy was the only thing that worked for me at the time which is why I made this video. But, the problem comes back after a while so it's a temporary hack of a fix that has to be done over and over. Since then my carrier (Verizon) issued an operating system update that permanently fixed the issue. Check to see if you have any updates, especially operating system updates, ready to be installed. I'd try that before going with the remedy explained in this video. Hope this helps! :)

I can give you a tip: instead of this long press massage and go to app info and after that go to storage you'll find it there and clear it. Hope it helps❤

I did it but it didn't help i even unistalled it , maybe i have another number? They even logged me out of Whatssap saying something isn't available anymore..
Since Whatsapp is also affected, my guess is it's something other than your messaging app. I don't use whatsapp, but from what I understand, it's independent of your phone messaging app. Try rebooting your phone? Maybe?
That's a lot a hoops to jump through. When can go to your app drawer and hold on the app and hit the information button.

Nope. I don't use pinterest, nor do I have an apple phone. I make videos I want to make, usually about solving a problem or doing something I had to do in real life, or explaining something to others, usually my kids, but I try to make the videos where others may find them informative too. Good luck on the apple Pinterest thing.

Do you have a plan with a carrier (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc) and if so do they have a system update awaiting install? That's what worked for me as a permanent fix. The fix in this video is more of a temporary hack that sometimes works for a little while. The permanent fix is in a carrier update, or likely an OS update if the phone is rooted. Good luck!

For me the problem is that I get a verification code from some websites I sign up to but from other websites I dont get one, like PayPal for example I dont get a verification code from them but I do het one from Gmail for example

@lebranttt7592 lots of carriers, like Verizon, block spam by default. They'll usually have settings in a loaded spam app, or setting in a carrier app (like the "Verizon" app under account then settings) and you can adjust how sensitive it is for designating numbers as spam. If that's the case, loosen it up a bit and more numbers come through. You'll get more spam though.
Will this delete the photos in your messages?

Yep. It doesn't work for everyone. Does your wireless carrier have a system update? If you rooted your phone, can you update the operating system manually? These are more permanent fixes that are more likely to work. Good luck!

It doesn't always work. If you have your phone through a carrier, ensure you have installed all recommend carrier updates. That's what finally fixed mine. If you have rooted your phone and handle updates yourself, be sure to install all recent updates. Either way just ensure your phone's operating system is updated properly. Good luck! 😊

Sorry to hear. The thing that actually worked for me finally was a carrier driven system update. Verizon in my case. This works for some as a hack though. And for others it actually works completely. For me it was just a hack until the carrier update. I hope you find something that works and if you do it would be great if you let us know. Cheers! 🙂

What worked for me:
OnePlus settings>System settings>Backup and reset>Reset Phone>Reset network settings.
These steps solved the sms not sending problem. No data was lost. Only I had to re-enter the wifi password.

Do you have a carrier support for your phone or, perhaps, did you root your phone? If you have carrier support, see if they have an update that can help. If you rooted your phone, see if there is an operating system update to be applied that may help. For me, a carrier supplied update is what fixed it permanently. This video covers more of a temporary hack that works until you get a carrier or OS update applied. Hope this helps.

@abdulalsamo Verizon came out with an update that fixed my issue for good a long time ago. I'm on their network here in the United States.
