The switching sim cards between phones helped me. In my case once I switched to a phone that was working, i switched it back to the new phone that was having issues, and it started working there too. I hope there was a permanent way to fix this without having to switch the sim card. Thank you
Thank you. I had a situation where codes would come through for some third parties but others. I pulled the sim tray out, wiped the card even though it looked clean, blew in the phone where it goes in, reseated the sim in the tray, and put it back in. A bunch of texts including the third party codes came in.
Here's what actually works: the *messages are encrypted, so you need to install Google app for your SMS,* instead of the default SMS app, which ignores encrypted SMS.
If anyone is still having trouble i used my wife's phone to sign into my account and the code said sent to my phone number and it actually got sent to my phone. Try and use someone else's phone and u might get the code.
I want to log in to my account but the number that I'm using before is not functioning anymore thats why I can't get any code. Please help me what to do.

This is no where near the problem. The message settings have been turned off.And putting into the other phone then back again your other phone when u put sim back will do the same simple answer hacked

i tried to factory reset my samsung galaxy phone last night. then, when attempting to set everything up after the WIPE/FORMAT, it came to the Samsung two step verification process screen. since my phone was in the process of being setup, i could not get the text msg from samsung with the code. How do i get the code so i can complete setting my phone up?

Nothing works for android. Not one tutorial from the whole internet. This situation is beyond frustration. Wrote to whatsapp tech support, received only automatic response with some basic instruction ! WhatsApp is the lamest smartphone app, since the beginning. Those guys should be banned from public appearance and usage.
